My experience with this office involved deceptive billing, serious privacy breaches, and aggressive collections. The 'Medical' Bait-and-Switch: I booked a standard Routine Exam. The only outcome of the visit was a prescription for glasses--no medical treatment, no medication, and no follow-up scheduled. Yet, they billed the entire visit as 'Medical' instead of 'Routine' without ever warning me, just to trigger a higher deductible. Privacy Violation & Collections: They admitted in writing that they mailed my private medical and financial records to the wrong address for five months. Because of their clerical error, I never received a bill. Instead of calling me, they simply sent me to collections without a single prior contact. Admitted Negligence: They admitted in writing they 'should have asked' for my vision plan at intake but failed to do so. Despite admitting this failure, they refused to correct the bill. I have now filed formal complaints with: MA Attorney General (Consumer Protection) U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services (HIPAA Violation) MA Board of Registration in Medicine (Professional Conduct) Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Unfair Debt Collection) Avoid this provider if you expect honest billing and competent administration.

And I've always been able to get an appointment time convenient for me. The optical center, however, I'd give 3 stars. The selection is good, but we came back 5 times to try to get my son's glasses fitted properly so they don't slide halfway down his nose. Finally gave up and drive 45 mins to a place we trust that fixed the problem in 2 minutes. I will continue to come for the exams, no question. But I'll take the prescription elsewhere to buy glasses.

We brought…read moreour two year-old child in to get checked out, and it was very clear that the doctor had very limited experience working with a two-year-old patient, having difficulty conducting any test and asking them to do things way beyond their age level, including asking them to kneel, to describe the theme of their last birthday party, and when experiencing any difficulty, displayed zero patience and simply said that we would have to come back in another year's time to run the exact same test again due to what she noted as a behavioral issue. In addition to shaming my child, she also told him that he would be getting a toy at the end of the appointment, and when our child showed difficulty in putting on the temporary sunglasses (with eyes dilated), she swiftly gave up on that idea, went back to her office, shut the door, and our child was given no toy. Arguably most frustrating was the fact that we showed up to our appointment on time and did not actually see the doctor for an hour and 20 minutes, at which point our child was already low on patience. Overall, I would've appreciated some understanding from the doctor, and at least some new information, as we will now have to wait 2 years to get a single update. Not coming back to LEA is a very easy decision to make!

Spending $600 and up for Lexington Eye for their "high-quality" frames and still struggling to read any printed material. The emotional trauma of my deteriorating vision affecting my job, reading to the blind. I discovered in 2024, with the wonderful help of Warby Parker, that the prescription from Lexington Eye was very wrong. It was, like all my previous glasses, an old prescription from 2018 (with my prior eye doctor). Not all the updated ones I had every year from Lexington Eye. Lexington Eye (Arlington location) did a recheck and helped me with this new info, found it to be accurate and replaced by latest glasses free of charge. No apologies and no reimbursement for all the other 6 pairs that are useless to me. My latest Gucci glasses, from Lexington eye are not even as comfy as my Warby Parker. She even took the time to look up an eye surgeon for me to follow up with. Wrote down three names. I picked out a pair of glasses, with no pressure, or up selling (I would be having surgery my glasses would only be for a couple of months, as my RX would change).
