Naomi and her colleague looked at the pieces of my (unfortunately unfixable) glasses and very helpfully were able to fit my existing lenses into other frames. Since it had been quite a while since I'd had an eye exam I was grateful that the doctor was able to see me that day. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Naomi helped me look at new frames and used her expertise and great sense of taste to suggest a few which fit my face and my style perfectly. Naomi even arranged to have two choices I had been considering both available for review at the pickup. I have already gotten many compliments in the new glasses I chose! Every person at Concord Optical from my first visit with my broken glasses to the second to pick up my new glasses up was very cordial, helpful and professional. Over the years, he has refused all payments other than checks and complains about being tracked by the credit card companies, badmouthed other providers, told multiple horror stories about patients who supposedly had serious health complications after (take your pick) having corrective surgery, seeing other opticians, using the internet to get contacts, and so on. Laughably, he "banned me from his practice" (after being a client for over a decade!) because I used 1800contacts to get a new prescription after I'd moved thousands of miles away. I think he received an automated phone call from them in error, and I woke up the next day (on a holiday!) to rude voicemails and emails, accusations that I "decided to try & get around the law", and so on. Utterly unhinged. I stayed even after family stopped being willing to put up with him; spare yourself the trouble.

We brought…read moreour two year-old child in to get checked out, and it was very clear that the doctor had very limited experience working with a two-year-old patient, having difficulty conducting any test and asking them to do things way beyond their age level, including asking them to kneel, to describe the theme of their last birthday party, and when experiencing any difficulty, displayed zero patience and simply said that we would have to come back in another year's time to run the exact same test again due to what she noted as a behavioral issue. In addition to shaming my child, she also told him that he would be getting a toy at the end of the appointment, and when our child showed difficulty in putting on the temporary sunglasses (with eyes dilated), she swiftly gave up on that idea, went back to her office, shut the door, and our child was given no toy. Arguably most frustrating was the fact that we showed up to our appointment on time and did not actually see the doctor for an hour and 20 minutes, at which point our child was already low on patience. Overall, I would've appreciated some understanding from the doctor, and at least some new information, as we will now have to wait 2 years to get a single update. Not coming back to LEA is a very easy decision to make!

The first time I went there (Concord office), the doctor had an emergency, and I had to wait over…read morean hour to see him. The second time I went (Oct 2024), a 'tech' did the refraction evaluation (read the chart) and put in the eye drops to dilate my eyes. The doc came in, spent 10 minutes with me, and the charge to BCBS (which I have a vision plan for), was $485 PLUS they charged me $65 to do the refraction eval. Neither Medicare or BCBS with EyeMed coverage covered the $65. Never have I had to pay for an annual through insurance. It's ridiculous and exhausting, and expensive. If you're worried about the cost of eggs, worry instead about the ridiculous charges from doctors of all kinds. Based on other reviews, I'm going to find myself another group to go to.

I needed frames for work at my computer and for reading and another pair for "walking around" with…read moresunglasses. Carol at L'Optique understood immediately what I was looking for in terms of style, something interesting but not over-the-top. She picked out a great pair of work frames that complemented my face and also picked out very resilient out-and-about frames with little side magnets to hold snap-on sunshades. Carol is an expert at configuring frames and lenses. The work frames have a reading/close-up region toward the bottom and a computer-distance region toward the top. The walking around frames have a reading/close-up region toward the bottom for reading menus and such, and the remaining portions are for distance and driving, etc. The clip-on shades are very easy to use. It's up to me not to lose them ;). The frames took a bit of time and were not inexpensive, but considering that I wear them everyday and need something well-made that would stand up to some abuse, I figure it was well worth it. Carol is great to work with and very attentive. The lenses weren't quite strong enough in the first frames (my eye doctor's prescription was a bit too weak), and she was able to get a second, stronger set without any trouble or additional cost. I'd say L'Optique is a high-end store but even so, it offers a wide price range to probably suit most budgets.

My wife and I went to this optometrist to get full-time glasses for myself and reading glasses for my wife. My wife had a problem with the lens that Dr Niro prescribed for her left eye. Her vision was blurry and she also had double vision so we went back to see Dr. Nero and he wasn't in , so we saw the assistant and the assistant was very helpful in trying to adjust the glasses but was unsuccessful in helping her with her vision issue . The assistant was going to see Dr. Nero tell him about the problem that my wife was having and Dr. Nero called us at our home and told us that there's nothing he can do and he said that he cannot Write two different prescriptions for the same pair of glasses , that she could only have one eye that can see perfectly and there's nothing he could do for the other eye. Come to find out he's a liar. We researched the issue through multiple optometrists and found that you can absolutely have a different prescription for each eye . I can't now and will never recommend this optometrist to anybody for anything , as a matter of fact, if I could give him negative 5 stars I would .
