I would not recommend them to anyone. I learned the hard way that they are not transparent about errors made at the lab on sunglasses I bought. Mine were sent back to the lab 3 times. Unacceptable for what I spent for them. They are selling subpar glasses for top dollar and giving subpar service. The representative out of the Concord store called me one time and left a message as my concerns were relayed to him. He never called me back. The customer service is severely lacking. Our family of four has been going there for years and we've always had a great experience. Recently our 10 year old son told us he was having trouble seeing the board in class. We were able to get in for an exam quickly and his new glasses arrived within a few days. He's much happier now and the service we've received afterwards (broke them 48 hours in) has been nothing short of exceptional. read more

Very friendly staff + Dr. Niro is very knowledgeable, attentive and open to questions. The office is taking many precautions during COVID-19 (wiping down seats after each use, temperature check, Covid screening, staggering patients, etc). Great experience! read more

A long overdue review for a great Practice. I promised to write this review about a year ago now as a thank you to them for their great service, and I've finally I've gotten around to it. The Doctors were friendly and happy to answer questions, and the Secretarial staff in particular were kind and helpful as I worked to figure out my insurance and fill out forms, which is intimidating for a guy in his early 20s. They even gave me advice on how to work around the limitations of my coverage to get the best price for my prescription! I'd point (or depending on how bad their eyes are, lightly nudge) anyone looking for eye care service towards Niro! Also, personally, I think their average rating deserves to be higher. There are only like 4 reviews on here, and I think it's wise to remember as you look at them that for every really good or really bad review, there are hundreds if not thousands of people who have passed through the doors of an establishment and had good service, but decided not to come on yelp to comment on it. I plan on using Niro well into the future, and would like to see their practice stick around for quite some time because of that, so if you go and have a good experience, I'd ask you to come on and write a review too. I've been patient here for many years, but just had an especially great experience with Wayne and Shelby I wanted to share. When my glasses broke just before New Years, Wayne was quickly able to get the part he needed, promptly called me when it has arrived, and within 10 mins had me back to normal. He was pleasant and responsive throughout the process -- thank you Wayne! Shelby is the receptionist who is doing a great job keeping us safe and slowing the spread of COVID. She dutifully asks the COVID screen questions via telephone before you enter the office. She must do this 25 times a day and she's still able to do so pleasantly. I've been a patient of doctor Joseph Niro for the past year and he's great highly recommend him. Also i would like to give a shout out to SHELBY at the front desk shes so friendly and helpful, one time i was out of contacts lens and i called her at 4:55pm on a Friday asking if i can get lenses because i have an event on Saturday, Shelby was kind enough to stay open until i come and picked them up and she not only waited for me she also gave me extra pairs with big smile on her face. The service is very bad. They didn't check if you are covered by the insurance. But they said you are legible for comprehensive exam. In the end I have to pay all the expense. Don't use this office read more

The Worst Eye Doctor on 4/14/15 I went in to see Dr. Niro with my daughter (18yr.) to have her eye exam for contacts. During the appointment he rushed my daughter and was not listening to what she had to say. He had patients going in and out of his room multiple times along with my daughter. When my daughter asked him to change the lenses for her to see better; he did not correct the lenses. There was no difference from the last lenses she was prescribed. In addition, Dr. Niro did not give her a trail pair so she could test out the lenses. He talked very fast with my daughter and dismissed all of her questions which made me think that he did not care to take the time to ensure the well being of my daughter. It was the worst experience we have ever encounter at any doctors office period! read more

My husband scratched his eye with an electrical wire last night and couldn't see or open his eye all night. He had never been to an eye doctor before so I just called this place in hopes that they could get him in this morning. The receptionist was very willing to help and very understanding; she had the doctor call back within ten minutes to do an over-the-phone consult before determining if he needs to go in. Ended up that it was serious enough that Dr. Niro decided we had to go in, and he squeezed us in immediately. Really incredible service! I highly recommend this place! read more

Dr. Niro is never on time, I have had to walk out because I have waited so long. I called to complain and the so called office manager was rude, as usual. They are way over priced, almost thievery. I will never go again. read more
