They are awful!! I had my exam and went over to order my glasses, picked them out . Then I staetd that they uploaded the information i had for discounted pricing . she looked it up and stated that they did not accept that plan.so I say why did you not tell me that when you uploaded it? Then I go to the desk and say I needed a copy of my perscrition and they staed I would have to pay an addtyional sum of 41.20 for it.I was not happy. this year my appointment for 06./11/2025 . so i goggled about paying for the prscription in New hampshire and found a federal mandate stating that they must provide patients with a copy of thier perscrition regardless if they ask for it or not. After talking to a manger I was told the fee was for them doing a refaction test. My recent experience having cataract surgery at Nashua Eye Associates was very positive. The staff is competent, helpful, and very pleasant. Dr. Parikh performed the examination and the procedure on my left eye. The medical support staff was very skilled and pleasant and the procedure was completed in a short time, with almost no discomfort. Me and my family have been going here to this location for many years. We are a family of eyewear needing people. I have always been pretty happy with the level of service, care and advice that we get when we go there. However, today I currently have a bad taste in my mouth. My spouse ordered me Ray Ban Prescription Sunglasses for a surprise birthday gift. The glasses came in today and I picked them up, tried them on and loved them!! I was so excited, I immediately put them on to drive home, snapped a selfie and sent it to my wife. I was just living my best life finally with prescription sunglasses that I have been holding off on purchasing for years. She messaged me back saying "Looks good!!! Where is the Ray Ban etching on the lenses"? I replied "they didn't have etching on the lenses". My wife was confused and wanted the signature etching on the lenses. I was unfazed either way because I just loved them. So my spouse made a call to Nashua Eye to find out what happened, and they advised "they don't order Ray Ban Lenses due to multiple customers in the past not liking them". This to her and I feels like a serious bait and switch. It was advertised on the wall as Ray Ban glasses with the etching and I think the common, everyday consumer would expect that this is what they are getting, with the obvious exceptions of the modifications to tint, color, lens protectant and or course the prescription. This is POOR, business practices!!! If this is your policy it should be made CLEAR to the consumer in a clear and concise language that they WILL NOT be getting Ray Ban lenses, and the consumer should be able to make the decision if they want to move forward or not. It was NEVER brought up ONCE in the consult while my wife was working with the representative to build the glasses for me. A couple of additional notes: -The glasses also came with the original etched nonprescription lenses?!?!? -The rep when I picked up the glasses made it seem to me like my wife purchased a 2 year lens protection plan, apparently this just comes from the lens manufacture they used, as its not on my receipt. -I was also showed a Certificate of Authenticity Card, which I thought was for the Ray Bans, but was for the lenses.....Like WHAT?!?!? -I can get the same glasses with Ray Ban lenses without my insurance right now from Ray Ban directly for roughly $100-$150 more. Overall just a really disappointing, disheartening, and poor experience for us from a company that we overall had pleasant prior experiences with. Yes I have the receipt, and yes the lenses we have are listed there, but again the AVERAGE consumer would not know whether that was a material, a manufacture or other. This has been my eye doctor for years. I see Dr. Mangano who is excellent. I have a really strong prescription and she writes the strength of my contact lenses which is right on target. The doctor and staff are very professional and know what they're doing. The office is usually busy and I know it is a popular place because the doctors and staff are very good. I would recommend Nashua Eye to any of my friends or family. My father had his cataract surgery with one of the cataract surgeons in Nashua. He was super happy with his version after surgery. My mother also goes to Nashua Eye so it is a family affair. The Hudson office is busy but is not as busy as the Nashua office from the times I have been there. Bad company. I paid for the eye exam when I was finished, but weeks later got a bill for $200.00 because they said that cataracts was discussed, so it was not a "standard" exam. We never discussed cataracts and whey did they not know that before I left that day when they charged me. This place is a scam, and gets you in other ways also Avoid at all costs!!!! read more

I made an appointment months ago and planned it out seeing I attend college in another state and live there for the time being. I made my schedule work around my eye appointment. I show up this morning to check in only to realize they CANCELED my appointment and did NOT reach out to me to let me know. They decided it was okay for me to SHOW UP to tell me it had been cancelled. I've also noticed coming to appointments to check up with the glaucoma specialist I sit around and wait for 45+ minutes for her to come in the room for only 5 minutes just to tell me nothing has changed. There was no one being waited on when I walked into the Hudson office. They sent me to a kiosk... after scanning my drivers license they asked me for my social security number? I came in yesterday for my yearly eye exam. Upon walking in the two women stare you down like you're lost and don't offer any sort of warm greeting. You're supposed to check in at the kiosk and not bother the women. I literally watched one of them staring blankly at the wall for a solid 5 minutes. Then they bark at you to come over if they have a question for you or to take your copay. Again no greeting, no personalty... I get it me being a paying client must be a real inconvenience for you. I was finally seen 35 minutes after my appointment... never once told they were running late. I contemplated walking out, I should've. When I had a question about my prescription I was told I'd have to wait for an optometrists and the receptionist tried to guess and answer to my question. This is seriously not the place to go. You've been warned. I will NEVER go back. I hope this saves someone the aggravation I experienced. read more

Nashua Eye is living off of their reputation from 20 years ago, because they are awful. They have some talented doctors - I will give them that, but every other aspect of their business is just terrible. They have absolutely no respect for anyone else's time. I take my father there to the retina office on the 2nd floor once a month for Macular Degeneration issues. Every single time we have to wait a minimum of 1 1/2 hours to see the Dr. for what takes 10 minutes. We have been there as long as 4 hours. - this is not sometimes this is EVERY time. The only thing that has made this better is COVID - because now they can't stack their waiting room with 20 people to see 1 doctor. The regular office is bad too - as others have complained you see 3 people sitting there behind the desk having a personal conversation while you need to check in at a kiosk and scan your driver's license every time. What the heck are they paying these people at the desk to do? Do we really need to have these 80 year old people checking themselves in with a computer because they don't want to pay someone to do it at the desk? They charge $600 for a pair of glasses but you can't have someone check you in when you arrive. Terrible customer service. Next - my father needed a laser treatment on his eye. This is considered a surgical procedure for which he has insurance. His copay will be in the $200 range - they call 3 times to try to collect the copay before the surgery date (I've told them we will pay our copay at the office when we arrive - I've never paid a doctor for an appointment in advance and I'm not starting now), but yet on Wednesday they cannot tell me what time his appointment for the surgery will be on Friday. I ask why and am told that they have multiple patients getting surgery and they need to schedule the one's with diabetes or other complications first. I say ok, I understand that, but you have your patient list now (because you have to have all the paperwork in 2 weeks ahead of time or they cancel your surgery date), so why can't you look and see who is scheduled first? and then let us know when we are scheduled. "we don't do it that way - we'll call you in the afternoon the day before surgery to schedule" THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT MATTER. No respect for me, or my schedule. One of the things about I hate in a doctor is those that think they are more important or that their time is more valuable than mine. Guess what it's not. I can make allowances for emergencies, because we all have had things happen that need to take precedence over standard appointments, but this is how Nashua Eye operates 100% of the time. The woman at the front desk was very unfriendly and while it was easy for me to use the check in kiosk, it was painful to watch older customers come in and try to use it. There were at least 5 people standing behind the desk chatting instead of helping them out. I have had good experiences there in the past but this last appointment was so miserable that I will be looking for another place for my eye exams. read more

I bought my last pair of glasses here. For those who don't wear glasses, you might not know that they cost hundreds ($400-$600) for a good pair. The guy working there talked me in to buying a rimless pair, with a magnetic polarized clip-on. When I showed reluctance to buy glasses that look delicate, worried that they might easily break, I was told that, with proper care, they would last years, and that he would stand behind them. When I further expressed concern that the magnetic clasps would release on a bumpy trail, while mountain biking, he told me that such a scenario was so farfetched that he would replace them, for free, if it ever happened. I asked that he make note of that in my file. Can you see where this is going? The glasses broke, putting them on one day (I take excellent care of my glasses, as I'm a cheap bastard), about one week after the sunglasses clip fell off on a trail, and were lost. When I went in, and waited forever for someone to wait on me, I was told that the guy had left (though, this was said with such heavy reservations that I suspect he was fired), and that none of his records could be found, and that they would not honor his guarantees. Needless to say, I argued, and argued. I got nowhere. And, while I understand that, if one wants to be less than "customer friendly", (assuming I was told the truth about the loss of records), an argument could be made for not believing your customer, and erring on the side of protecting your own ass, I certainly won't be giving them any more business. Now, having paid $50 to fix the glasses, I wear old, out of prescription sunglasses, as I am not giving them money for something that was promised to me for free. They get 2 stars, rather than 1, because he at least had the nerve to imply that there was a chance I was lying about the guarantee, which, on some twisted level, I can appreciate. To update: now the coating is coming off, leaving a large blurry spot in my view. I was never told that this was a possibility, when the guy was upselling the product. And here I thought that I was done being annoyed with this place. read more

I have been going to see Dr Bunker the optometrist for the past five years when my eyesight needed checking for a new prescription and he was always efficient and competent. They obviously sell eyeglasses as a high profit addition to their service and I would decline paying higher prices for an item I can purchase elsewhere with better economic satisfaction. The last two eyeglasses purchased was at BJs wholesale for more than half the optometrist price. Always ask for your prescription before leaving the office. read more

This review is for the Optical group, not for the doctors. April 1, 2013 - I went to Nashua Eye Associates because I have VSP insurance through my work. I had lost my glasses, so I let the Optical group know I would appreciate any expediting possible. *Trying to drive with only pair (over 10 year old) glasses is very difficult.* I was told that the glasses would take up to 2 weeks and that there was really nothing they could do to expedite them. That was probably the first, and last, time I got honest and accurate information. I was told I would get an email when my glasses were ready. After over 2 weeks (April 16), thinking there may have been an email issue, I went to the office, signed in on the computer, and waited for my turn. The person I spoke with said there was no issue, but the glasses were not back from the lab yet. A week later, on Monday, April 22 I left a message (you cannot reach a person with their system) requesting and update. After 2 hours had passed with no return phone-call, I called VSP. They found a way to reach a person and discovered that the frames has been on back-order, that I was NOT notified of that fact, and that they had not sent them to the lab yet. VSP said to contact Nashua Eye again and ask what they plan to do to correct the situation and compensate me. After having 2 hour go by with yet another not-returned message, I called VSP and she explained how to 'beat the system' to reach a person. I did and asked for the manager in charge. The manager (Frieda) said that I should have been notified of the back-order, that the frames had been received and sent to the lab. I was also told I would have my glasses 'by the end of the week'. She also said they would give me an extra pair of the clip-on (magnetic) sunglasses as compensation. It is Saturday. I have no glasses and not received any phone-call or email with an update. I cannot figure out how to 'beat the system' to reach a person though I know they have Saturday hours, so I have not idea what is going on. You'd think they would want to give me a call, even with bad news, as their lack of communication was my greatest issue with their service. I'm going to call VSP on Monday and let them know the situation. I'm also going to offer to provide anything they need to disqualify Nashua Eye Associated a VSP preferred supplier. I will update this review if I ever get the glasses and promised extra sunclip. read more
