We went here on a Sunday for lunch. You find a table with a number and then order at the counter and give them your table number. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't terribly busy when we got there but got super busy as we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a kids menu and my kids enjoyed the food. I don't like bone in wings so I didn't have any wings but the other adults I was with had a ton of flavors and said they were all super good! I got the chicken tenders and they were very good. The fries have a seasoning on them that is good but a bit spicy for kids. I also got the teriyaki sauce to dip my wings in and it wasn't my favorite. Their soda machine is all craft soda which was cool and the soda was really good! We will definitely be back to try more!

I have to drop it to 4 stars. The wait times are just getting silly. We took a break from coming for a year. Tonight there are about 5 tables waiting for food. We have been waiting well over 20 minutes. Beer is done and no food. You guys really need to fix this. 20 min is the the max. It is not full right now not even close. Still good wings and vibes but don't let it slip!

The wings here are solid, a great spot t check out if you want to try some unique wings and flavors. The servers here at extremely friendly, and all have their own favorites on the menu to recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's cool atmosphere, plays into your classic dive bar vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you have young kids that scare easy don't go to the back seating area or the bathroom. The front might be more suitable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a self serve spot where you place your order in the front and get your beverages too. After you order they bring you the food. We got the black widow, magic dragon and the tarantula wings. The wings are fried to perfection. The sauce on each were great. The solidity on the magic dragon was different but good. It helped mellow out the heat. The tarantula was my favorite, sticky spicy and sweet. Will be going back to try there other flavors.

If you like chicken wings you have to check out Dspot! So many in house sauce flavor combinations to choose from! They are meaty and saucy and soooo good! Chef D is a mastermind in the kitchen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of parking in the lot, lots of tables and chairs for indoor seating along with some pretty awesome decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a small patio for outdoor dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have daily specials if you check their socials and are even offering up brunch now on the weekends. Go with a group so you can try a few different flavors! Also get the seasoned fries and sauce!

D-spot is a consistent go to for us. We've done pick up and dined in. Just be sure to check the hours, sometimes they close early, etc. My go tos (as a spice baby) are the Alfredo and the Honey bbq (I know I know, boring but delicious). Husband's go-to is the goat's blood, but he alwayand we always get the seasoned fries with extra Harissa Aioli - trust me. But truly, there's not much that can beat a quality chicken wing and beer!

Came here around six on a Wednesday, waited about 20 minutes for our meal, everything came out super good and as ordered... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Four stars soley for the environment, it's a bit loud and chaotic inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely interesting inside, I'd say it's more of an adult atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall pretty good! We usually get take out from here and love it!

(Last visited August 1st, 2024). This Yelp review has been long overdue... but it's time to finally write it and give D-Spot the recognition that they deserve. Here is why D-Spot is my favorite place to get wings... in the entire world... Atmosphere/Appearance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Set off the beaten path in a small city east of St. Paul called Oakdale, MN is this incredible establishment. It's in a strip mall connected to Cub Foods and several other smaller businesses with a pretty prominent standalone Taco Bell in the parking lot, but no matter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Owner/Chef Darin loves Halloween, scary movies and the like... So inside reflects that. Lol. Off to your left is the most, detailed display of skeletons and the like. The rest of the restaurant is pretty simple.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are 2 rooms, one of them bigger than the other, but the overflow room is often closed if it isn't that busy (rare). The tiled are a cream color and there's one long booth seat that runs along the right wall with adequate tables. In the extra room is a very cool logo and a live moss "painting". [[HIGHLIGHT]]Energetic music comes thumping from the kitchen throughout the day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: There isn't much service, which makes this whole process much quicker and less involved. Once inside you'll see someone taking orders off to the left and then the wrap-around bar. Grab a menu that'll be laying on the counter, pick out your flavors and then place your food and drink order at the kiosk then go have a seat with the number that was given to you. The longest I've seen food take here for 45 minutes and even then, totally worth it, but it usually doesn't take that long. The staff are friendly and Darin, as well as his wife are both so sweet. They're kind and don't mind having a conversation with you. Just be aware that they close between 8:00pm and 9:00pm each day so that their staff can actually have lives. Food: So there are technically 6 categories of wings here. Yes, they sell other food as well, but one whole side of the menu is dedicated to these wings. Lol. So, there's the "Green Flame" which are the sauces/rubs that don't have heat at all. Next up is the "Yellow Flame" category. These will have a light kick of spice involved in the flavors. Above that is the "Orange Flame". These will have a moderate spice level. "Red Flame" is the category I enjoy most and where my favorite wing flavor of all time resides. These have a heavy spicy flavor as a part of the sauce/rub but isn't unbearable. Now it gets crazy... "Blue Flame" is where the spice can become intolerable to even some true heat seekers like myself. I've had 4 different flavors from this category and only 1 of them didn't make me cry/sweat. The category that isn't even on the menu is "White Flame". These are only available online and have to be pre-ordered because some of these flavors take up to 48 hours to make. Yes, I'm so serious. I have no plans on venturing to this category, but be my guest. There are also 3 secret menus in which special code words (which can be found hidden around the restaurant) must be uttered in order to access them. Darin, the chef must also be in the building to prepare them. I'll only discuss my favorite flavor sauce because I've been to D-Spot over 10 times and I live thousands of miles away from this place and have tried over 40 flavors here. Volcano... from the red flame category is the perfect blend of curry flavors, Buffalo and heat. That's all I'm going to say. Plus, if you get access to the secret menus, the wings become more than just sauces and seasonings... they become entrees and events... Value: The wings here are pricy, but it is what it is. Depending on the category they can range from $10.50 for 6 to $18.00+ for 4 (Blue Flame). The spicier they are, the rarer the pepper so yeah, you gotta pay to play, but it's so worth it to have such incredible creations. In conclusion, D-Spot will forever be my favorite wing spot in the entire world. I have yet to see someone dethrone them, but some have come close. However, whenever I'm in the Minneapolis area, I will absolutely stop in because... well.. I have to! I hope you do as well.

    Order of Muay Thai wings

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is interesting. They have a metal vibe with a backroom seemingly out of a haunted house.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordering is counter service. Their fountain soda is a local soda company + diet coke. The portions were small, 6 wings for $10.99 with no accompanying ranch or blue cheese. We ordered the jerkalo and asked to have the sauce on the side, and were charged $6 for a side of sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The flavors were delicious, but the price and vibe were not for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Brimstone, Wombat, and Honey Barbeque
    Josh D.

Oh. My. Gosh. As I write this, my tongue is burning, my nose is running, and I might be sweating. And I LOVE it. This place has been in my radar for a long time but I never find myself on the east side of the twin cities. This weekend my world changed. I'll never be able to look at BWW the same. The only negative... choosing your wings. I should've asked for one of every flavor I got the honey BBQ (my safe play/comfort zone), the wombat, and the brimstone. I should've skipped the honey BBQ and gotten another wild/fun option. All three were bomb. So good. The wombat was my favorite of the three. Good heat level and awesome flavor. I HAD to try one from the "hot" category and the brimstone didn't disappoint. Very warm. I'm wondering what the witch doctor hits like and I'm almost a little scared. I get the "wild" and the hotter options at BWW and this place puts them to shame. If you're a wing person - make the pilgrimage to your new wing Mecca - DSpot!

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant itself is really beautiful and it's also very big. I guessed 200 seats plus patio. The space is very elegant, and clearly a lot of attention went into the design. I would describe it as kind of modern steakhouse vibe. Dark wood, faux fur and leather finishes, etc. Elegant. We were seated at a booth by the bar with a big window view of the patio and parking lot. We were immediately slightly offput because the marble ledge separating the booth from the window was dirty - grease and little food crumbs. Not the best first impression. The booth and table were both clean though. Our waitress, Ash, did provide good service but I would say honestly she was a bit too attentive if that makes sense, and she was also too chatty for us. There were several times when she lingered at our table to tell us something we didn't inquire about or to just talk about something. It was a bit annoying honestly. But the service itself was good. We were also visited by a manager during our visit. We each got a mocktail (it was lunch) but they have an impressive drink menu. I got the Red Rose which was really tasty, and my husband got the pineapple drink, which he also said was good. -We ordered the chimichuri shrimp appetizer, which was pretty banging. Four really large shrimp, each on its own piece of bruschetta, doused in chimichuri sauce. Even for me, with a low spice tolerance, it was just the right amount of spice and it was really really good. -We also got a round of oysters. The oysters themselves were fresh - no complaints there. When they were delivered to our table, the person did not tell us which variety was which (pretty standard when serving oysters at any restaurant). Because we eat oysters a lot and one of the varieties was sweet petite, it was fairly easy to tell which was which. But in my opinion, there should have been information given when the oysters were served. The other big issue was the shucking. Some of the oysters hadn't been fully separated from the shell, and we both found ourselves picking bits of shell from our mouths. We actually had a little discussion about the $6 price tag. I felt it was reasonable, my husband felt it was high. But for $6 apiece, the oysters need to be shucked properly and these were not. Ash also made a point to tell us all kinds of information we didn't ask for about their happy hour, which includes $3 oysters. That would be a steal if they learn how to shuck them. -I got the half french dip sandwich, and I was really glad I just ordered the half because what I was served was totally a whole sandwich in my book. The accompanying fries were delicious, crispy, deep golden brown and hot. The au jus served with the sandwich was slightly on the salty side but not terrible. And I do realize it's au jus. In all it was a pretty decent sandwich. -Hubby got the sea bass sandwich, which was also pretty tasty. I'll be honest and say that I think the entree sea bass would have been better. The fish was so good that I don't honestly think you needed the bun. But it was really good and fresh and delicious. We skipped dessert. In all, a pretty solid dining experience and the food was very good. But it was the minor things mentioned that bothered us, so 3 stars with room for improvement upon our return.

Previously, the food saved it from itself. The dining area is so noisy, and the tables are jammed into each other - there is no way to get in or out without bumping into another chair - but for good food at acceptable prices, it was worth it. After the last visit, the food isn't worth it for me. On this most recent stop, several of the regular items i had gotten had been discontinued, and I could find nothing else that was appealing, so I went with their omelette special. It was disgusting. I ate the individual elements by themselves, so that it wouldn't be a total waste, but much of the bacon just tasted bad - not undercooked - just bad, like they didn't know how to make bacon. The decline in food quality seems to mimic the overall decline in this establishent. I can't foresee ever going back. PS The Service was good.
