We went to check out Nata Detroit with high expectations for an Albanian dining and entertainment experience. We arrived around 6:00 pm for dinner after being told that the DJ and entertainment would start at 8:00 pm. The space itself has a lot of potential and a nice vibe, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food we ordered was good overall, however none of it felt authentically Albanian. While everything tasted fine, it was disappointing not to see or experience traditional Albanian dishes, especially given how the restaurant is presented. We stayed to wait for the entertainment, but around 9:00 pm the DJ finally started playing, and it felt more like music for a private party -- there were very few people there and no real atmosphere. By the time we left around 9:30 pm, nothing was really happening. The food was enjoyable, but not Albanian, and the entertainment we were told to expect never really materialized. Maybe things start later, but based on our experience, it didn't live up to expectations.

Went to check out this new Albanian restaurant in the hopes of finding some authentic dishes we sampled during a recent European trip to that region. Unfortunately, they have a rather traditional menu of dishes you can find anywhere else. (Maybe one dish was more authentic). Seems like a missed opportunity. No traditional drinks or desserts either. The food we did order was pretty solid. lamb salad came with 3 large lamb chops and a basic salad with feta. We tried mushrooms pasta. Sauce was good but could have used more mushrooms. Salmon dish was good. Salmon was cooked very well - flavorful and not over cooked. Cevapi burger was pretty decent too. Overall the experience was fine. But not memorable.

A new restaurant in Troy where the Detroit Burger bar was located. They made some nice changes with atmosphere and menu. We enjoyed the hot honey hustle was delicious. Everything was good. The service was friendly and efficient.

I had my baby shower at Antica Nova this past Saturday and the whole experience was perfect…read more There was an issue with the previous restaurant we were going to use for the shower and we are so grateful they could accommodate us here. We had a few options for private rooms, but they suggested the main dining area for the lighting, which was really nice. There were multiple linen options we were able to choose from (pink options in pic) and these were included in the total cost. The whole room was set up according to how many seats we wanted at each table and they were fully prepared for us to start decorating as soon as we arrived. The personal bartender also arrived early and prepped the station long before guests arrived. The food was all delicious. We had buffet style (set up shown in one picture by fireplace). Way too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures of food. The buffet was about 10 minutes later than expected, but there was a party of 80 at the same time and no one seemed bothered by this. We chose chicken tenders and fries for the kids attending and this was promptly served about 15 minutes before the buffet so the parents were able to help feed before getting their own food. Rolls- really classic white bread rolls. Exactly what you want. Green beans - these were sooo good! Very buttery and surprising! Potatoes- hasselback style, cut in halves. Also so buttery and perfectly salted. Tuscan chicken- thin sliced chicken breasts with sun dried tomato and a creamy Tuscan sauce. This was extremely delicious. Salmon- I cannot remember the flavor we chose but perfectly cooked and flavorful, cut into about 1.5" pieces so it didn't feel overwhelming to choose one of everything. Salad - classic salad with tomato and cucumber. We chose a ranch and vinaigrette. The table had Parmesan cheese, half and half creamer, sugar, and butter available. They allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes as dessert ($1/person) and served regular/ decaf coffee with this. This room could definitely fit more people. Our set up was 6 round tables of 6 but they were very flexible with how we wanted these set up and number of chairs per table. Overall, great experience. I can't wait to come back for dinner!

The menu was extensive with some vegan options. Service was relatively slow and the restaurant was not crowded. Our food was okay and very underwhelming. Our beef was overcooked even when we asked for medium preparation. I really wanted to like this place because of the beautiful dining room. But it was certainly an average at best experience.

There were some tables and high tops but there also was lounging type areas. That is where our group hung out for the evening and it was perfect. We all could talk with one another but still able to enjoy our drinks and food. Our waiter was amazing. I wish I caught his name. But we were a rowdy bunch and he handled us professionally and was friendly. My only complaint was not filling waters enough. But other than that drinks and food came out pretty fast. 54 W. has a collaboration with Mojave Cantina for food, so you can't go wrong because Mojave is delicious! Drinks and food were all tasty! The place has their own bathrooms - two unisex single stall restrooms. Not sure if it was the big group and I missed it? But didn't know if they had a drink menu? Food menu was a QR code and our waiter brought over hard copy menus from Mojave. A very cool place and great for drinks or celebrating.

We sat at the bar and had to wait a while before even getting menus. This kind of service continued for the rest of the night and we honestly felt ignored and forgotten. Once we got our food (we ordered the Tacos Mexicanos) we had to wait again for silverware. The bartender never came by to check on us after receiving our food so we ended up having to flag down a different server. And then instead of being able to ask the bartender for a margarita, I had to flag down a different server AGAIN to put my drink order in. This place seemed super hectic and disorganized. Food runners did not seem to know where they were going and had to yell across the place to ask the servers who ordered the food they were carrying. Not sure if they don't number their tables but it was super distracting and made them look unprofessional. The food itself was mediocre. This is the outdoor space behind Mojave Cantina so they share a menu/kitchen. I thought the meats were quite dry and needed some acid or some kind of brightness to wake them up. I thought the space itself was really cute though. And I love a themed out bathroom and the sliding doors with the hook locks were super fun. Overall, probably would not come back to 54 West.

They were just opening up, but they let us sit at the bar while they got the restaurant ready for dinner. We all got drinks at the bar. I got The Final Rose drink. its's very pretty and not too strong. After sipping on the drinks, the host brought us to our table. Chris was our server that day. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. Here's what we got: - Michigan lamb ragu (his) - Lobster and shrimp pad thai (mine) - Crab and shrimp cakes (share) - clam chowder (share) His family got some of the same items, but I can't remember the different items they got. The overall consensus though was that everything tasted fantastic. Coming from the Bay Area, I have high expectations when it comes to Asian food, so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the pad thai tasted. The clam chowder was creamy and delightful. The crab cakes were the perfect size and not teeny tiny. The lamb ragu was very well done also and my husband is a big fan of lamb so he really enjoyed his meal. Since we were there early, it was quiet which was nice. Would definitely return in the future the next time I am in Michigan.
