!!!DON'T GO HERE!!! I tried to submit with NO STARS - Completely asinine Senior Citizen discount, they require seniors to come to the store to utilize the 10% discount offer, what if the Senior is handicapped? what if it's bad weather? why even offer it at all? They're taking advantage of the elderly who like to penny pinch so they reel them in with a 10% off, but make them come to the store to collect on it. Makes me sick, and the girl who answers the phone and the skinny, tattooed "veteran" that work there wholeheartedly support this, absolutely refused to do the right thing, change the policy, i have promotional materials that say nothing about this and yet they still stick to it. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?! What happened to COMMON SENSE?! Use what brain cells you have left to compute that this is just plain wrong and say something to the owner, because this isn't going to keep customers, it just states that they're selfish, greedy and heartless. My parents have been coming here since 1976, they'd rather lose a steady customer then give them a discount that would've amounted to around $4.00 - make a statement and pass on this place, go to Nellie's down the street or Italian Pizza Time around the corner, there are plenty of options instead of aligning yourself with a stupid policy from a bunch of heartless jerks read more

I've actually never had the pizza because the first time I went here, I got a pasta dish & it was so good that I've just continued getting pasta every time we get take out from here. It's always hot, fresh, and on time. I also like that they have the cake bites at the register... makes for a nice small dessert. Solid pizza, very fresh and didn't taste like it was sitting around at all - like some slice shops. We especially absolutely loved the Margherita - it was delicious with a good tang to it from the tomato sauce. All of the other slices were good too, but the Margherita was definitely our favorite. Besides the great pizza, the staff were super friendly and didn't even make us pay when we got our food. A rarity these days and, in some ways, sort of a throwback to old pizza shops, but we paid after we ate. In an odd way, it made me feel good about being here - like reliving my past days roaming around the outer NYC boroughs and grabbing a quick slice at a shop. To wrap it up, DEFINITELY will be coming back for more slices - and even a whole pie!

This may be the best pie I've eaten in a while, especially since the structure had the integrity to hold up all those toppings - it wasn't soggy at all, like a lot of pies with that many toppings tend to be. We did eat it at the pizzeria though, fresh out of the oven, so that probably helped. Prices are reasonable too. A regular slice is only $3. I'm just sad that we don't live closer. We just happened to be in the neighborhood running errands and we found Turvino's. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely going to check out some of their other pies. What bothered us most was not even the burnt pizza, it was the complete lack of customer service and care for loyal customers. A little professionalism and empathy would have gone a long way.
