You also are asking me to wait until Tuesday for the review when my concerns were brought on Friday. Worst. Haircut. Ever. If you would like to waste 2 hours on a haircut that should have been completed in 45 minutes, all while listening to far too personal baby daddy stories shared by your nice, but unskilled, stylist, then this is the salon for you! What was that? Should I have said something? Well, I did. That's when the less than 100% fabulous customer service kicked in. I sent photos and messages documenting the haircut. I asked for a refund. After all, that was $90 for the haircut that looks like the craft scissor haircut my friend's daughter gave herself when she was 5. They want to "fix" it. There's barely any hair left to "fix" and also, no. You have lost my trust. Just refund the money. Here's my story: I chose one of my reference images (the one with green highlights) directly from their website based on cut and type of color, highlights with a fashion color. What could possibly go wrong? There is a person there who literally can cut the cut I want the picture proved it, right? The scheduler said she knew exactly who to book me with, but let's do a color consultation first for $60. I countered with, let's schedule the cut and the stylist, and I can discuss color then. At my appointment, I showed the stylist a carefully curated set of images, cut images, and the cut I wanted in pics of me when I had that cut. This is important because, I should back up and say I was asking for a pixie cut. I explained that I wanted my already short hair to be styled into a long banged, messy pixie with wispy tendrils by my ears. This would require trimming bangs, texturizing the longer "bob" sides and back. An hour in, I knew far too much about her personal life, and half my hair was clippered and way too short. Then she said, " Hey, maybe we should leave the other side as it is (when I came in)". Um, what? I asked to see the back. It had been clippered and the long hair on top laid on it like a rug. Zero texture. Um... the back of my head looks like a triangle? Can you please fix it? She did, kinda. Now, it's at mile marker two hours, and I am late. She was still not done. I told her I had to go and that I would have to settle for what I have. I left, put my hat on, and cried. But that was after I was also charged a service fee to tip. Next comes the customer service: After work, I took my hat off to discover that you could see my scalp in places. I have virtually no bangs, and it is waaaaay worse than I thought. I immediately emailed with pics. Their response, thanks for the feedback. I called and asked someone from their leadership to call me back. Nope, no call. Fast forward to the next day and several emails later, and the owner said you can either come in (next week) or "this matter is closed". Charming. I've had pixie cuts for 20 years. This was not a texture things or even a miscommunication. It was a failure of the scheduler, the stylist, and ultimately the owner. That stylist needs to be trained better and should have never been given me as a client. And the owner, well, just rude. When did customer service become so rare? Guess they must be doing well if they don't need new customers. There's more, but I am tired of typing. I don't usually leave reviews. Update: to be clear I did not decline the review. I declined a review without the possibility of a refund. You also are asking me to wait until Tuesday for the review when my concerns were brought on Friday.

I've had this service at Northgate Anastasia two or three times, and Alderwood at least once prior…read moreso it seems to be a fairly easy to duplicate service. I get an appointment to see Diane. No stencil? No marking of arch? Wow, I think - Diane must be a real pro at this. Yay. And, it's "happy hour" so she removes some less-than-feminine dark hairs from my upper lip as well - for free. Oh, how I wish she had left that alone and spent more time on a good brow job. On the way home, in better light, I see a large hank of eyebrow hair that has escaped removal. Playing phone tag with an admirably responsive Diane, I go back in and she graciously removes remaining hair. Still, no stencil, no arch measuring, nothing like previous visits to Anastasia counter. Why am I such a wuss about demanding adequate service? Why don't I call people on their shit? Both the top and bottom line of my brows are uneven where they have not been before, which I have to attribute to the wax job I received. If you've ever had a fine eyebrow wax done, you know it is very, very easy to fill in your brows and wind up with awesome eyebrows. I've had to work at it to figure out how to get my brows to look great, and that they look nice reflects much more on my experience and diligence than the wax job I got. I would have had just as good service, if not better, at a little strip mall Asian nail and waxing shop, at less than half the price ($30) so it feels like I threw away money on this service. Diane, you're a personable gal but you really need to sharpen your skills. Or maybe you had a bad day. Whatever it was, I got a crappy brow wax and won't be back to see you.

So when Allison advised me she would no longer be working there I was a little nervous...only to meet Danielle who does just as awesome of a job with these brows. Yes it's 30 instead of your usual 20 at most places but your brows comes out nice and even and not over plucked/waxed. They show you how to maintain it or fill it in if you ask...and that's well worth it in my book. Thirty every 4 weeks is nothing. I don't get my nails done or color my hair so good brows is something I will splurge on.

This spa is truly top notch, and the variety of services in this space is amazing. You truly feel like you are in Beverly Hills or something, it's that nice. The women who work here are also so fun and truly like each other, which just creates a bubbly fun environment. Brittany is a master of what she does. I have had a few bad lash lifts in the past, and she was honest with me that there was still some damage and that she wasn't going to let the solution sit for as long in order to protect them. I feel like that was really fair and nice of her to protect me like that. I also got a brow lamination and WOW! I have seen so many overly fluffy/glued brows and been scared, but she made them look so natural. I also just genuinely enjoyed being around her- her positivity is infectious. We chatted about procedures and services to try for my wedding and I never felt like I was listening to a sales pitch, it felt like chatting with a friend. I will be back for a touchup to my brow microblading and am interested in teeth whitening, spray tans, facials, and all her other services as well.

I wanted to freshen up my look, and discovered Glam Seattle. Brittany had reached out to me same day after I had scheduled my appointments online, and provided all the details on the services I was requesting to make sure it was what I was wanting. This made me feel so much better about getting each procedure done. The day of, she walked me through the process, and took her time finding the right colors. I was nervous about going darker on the lips at first, so I went with a lighter color. She put plenty of treatment on the brows and lips, and felt no pain during each procedure. She also checked in on me frequently to make sure I was doing ok. Immediately after, there was very minimal swelling which went away within 24-48 hours. I recommend following the healing directions she hands out at the end with the care kit she provides. I was so happy with my results, she totally nailed the look that I wanted!!! I did get complimentary touch-ups with the combo packages I chose (which I also recommend). She was flexible on the scheduling, and I decided I wanted to go darker on the lips. Brittany was totally accommodating to all my wants and needs, making sure that I was happy. She also checked in with me after both visits to follow up with any questions I had, and to make sure my healing process was going smoothly. I really love how she listened to what I was wanting, and her attention to detail. She cares about her clients and it shows! I will definitely be going back for more services in the future!

I booked here based on the strong reviews, but unfortunately my experience didn't match the rating…read more I should have researched the location more beforehand, because the salon felt much more like a budget chain experience despite the premium pricing. When booking online, I selected "long hair" at the listed $65 price. Thankfully I confirmed the pricing upon arrival, because later during the appointment I was told my hair was "longer than long" and would actually cost $75. That felt frustrating and unclear. The haircut itself also didn't feel worth the price. The stylist didn't seem particularly confident, and overall the service lacked the attention and professionalism I would expect at this price point. I also wasn't greeted when I arrived, wasn't offered a place to put my belongings, and after my wash I was left walking back dripping wet without much assistance. The stylist who did my hair also came across as very cold and rude throughout the appointment, even though I tried to be friendly and kind. That said, there was another woman working there who seemed genuinely warm and welcoming to other customers, so maybe I was just unlucky with who I was paired with. At the end, my hair was straightened without really asking whether that was how I wanted it styled. When I asked about curling it instead, I was told the straightening counted as the one complimentary style. They eventually offered to curl it anyway, but only after I explained I hadn't wanted it straightened in the first place. Overall, this felt more comparable to a basic chain salon experience while charging significantly more. As someone with long women's hair, I personally wouldn't return or recommend it based on my experience.
