Live Scallops with Wasabi, Radish, and, Lime - 1st course of tasting menu! (10/01/22)
    Jennifer Y.

It's lovely to have a fine dining restaurant in Camden. Featuring farm-to-table Maine ingredients with a French flair dishes. White tablecloth with a red rose on both patio and dining room seating. I selected their 4-course tasting menu. Stunning presentation, most memorable was their "MAINE LOBSTER". Shoutout to all the fantastic sauces to each of their otherwise lightly seasoned courses. CHEERS!

Natalies is a fantastic place to stop by for a meal or a cocktail if you are in Camden. I would certainly recommend this to anybody looking for an elevated experience with the understanding there are certainly some flaws. Natalies was well reviewed and well recommended by anybody I had a chance to ask. I called a month in advance while planning out our anniversary vacation and specifically shared allergies and additionally requested out door seating. When receiving the confirmation phone call from Natalies the day before, I reminded them of our preference to seat out doors. While we were assured that as long as weather permitted, we would be obliged, the hostess was taken by surprise when I reminded her in person for our request. The atmosphere was great. Elevated, decadent, low lit, and not too loud. The outdoor seating is on two sides with one facing the water (which is gorgeous and why I kept on asking), followed by a less beautiful view. The hostess sat us on the lesser of two sides. Our waitress was quite kind, timely, and knowledgeable. Directing us skillfully to cocktails and dining options. My wife got the tasting menu whereas I got the lobster tasting menu. It amounts to about four to five courses with an amuse bouche and sometimes a small surprise dish which serves as a pallet cleanse. The lobster tasting menu was incredible - serving four different lobster dishes prepared in unique ways. The other tasting menu was largely exciting except for course two, which is the chefs vegetable/pasta dish. This unfortunately was quite bland and failed to have imagination. Honestly if the rest of the mood wasn't amazing, this rating would be much less. Drinks were great as well. I will note that there is a certain charm that comes about from the food runners. Specifically it seems like there is a family touch here. The runners take the time to present and it comes off as sophisticated with the French accents. Certainly a great spot to have a special night but it seems as if some details are dropped. Additionally would note that this restaurant is quite pricey even if you choose not to do the tasting menu.

Amazing restaurant, we spent just a day in Camden and the best part of it was the dinner at Natalie's. It was all amazing, the staff, the ambiance, all so clean and beautiful. Absolutely delicious items, very welcome and nice staff, I loved their approach to kids. For my kids was a first time experience of fine dining, and I love how Natalie's made it all so smooth and enjoyable, a 5 stars experience, for sure. Thank you!!!

Wonderful dinner on patio with many nice surprises - cool towel to wipe hands before AND after dinner (lightly scented), champagne for our anniversary, scrumptious food, such as homemade sourdough bread with brown butter, seared halibut cooked perfectly and outstanding service (thank u Connor!).

Oh Natalie, you have out done yourself! This is an amazing dinner experience! Everything was well put together and paired perfectly. The food is delicious and the chefs tasting bites in between were superb! The sommelier had a great personality and knew exactly what to suggest! It is pricey our bill was 300$ but it was worth every dollar! See you soon Natalie :)

Natalie's is an experience. Overall, it had its pluses and minuses. You feel like you are in a Yacht Club on some island. Diners go all out in attire and you have a sense that the regulars receive special attention. If you want upscale in Camden, you have found your place. The views from the outside deck are lovely as is the setting. The restaurant features lobster which is removed from its shell. I had the grilled lobster in a corn base. The lobster was good, albeit slightly tough and dry. The corn base tasted very fresh. My chardonnay was delicious and complemented the meal. While the salted butter was nice, the bread was only ok. Service was attentive, though they made me wait beyond my reservation time to be seated. Dining here is an investment, but if you are worried about that aspect, you probably should not be here in the first place.

I went to Natalie's for a wedding and everything was outstanding. I had never had food or cocktails as well crafted and delicious. The service was amazing and the place is truly beautiful and romantic. I can't wait to go back. All the guests were completely amazed and we're planning a trip back just so we can go experience the restaurant again.

The food, staff and atmosphere here is amazing (drinks too) I tried a Victoria's Secret per the bartenders suggestion and wow...it was so good. Some places you get a drink and there is so much alcohol in it you feel like you're taking a shot when you sip it. I've been to a few places in Camden and this is one of the best around. Everything is delicious and they take even simple things, like fries, and take it to another level. I can't pick one thing I had as my favorite because they all were good. So no matter what you decide to eat here just know it will be better than what you expect it will be like.

Amazing food and drinks. We started with the traditional oysters. I had the Atlantic Salmon, Oaxaca Old Fashion, and a glass of the Feudo Montoni.

Seared halibut with zucchini and chili flakes

Outstanding meal. Gazpacho with grilled shrimp, halibut with zucchini, and vegan gluten free carrot cake. Excellent service and attention to detail. Wonderful wine list. Highly recommend for that special dinner and gluten free options.

Have returned twice since then. As the menu is small and hasn't changed since my first visit, the charm has worn off. I usually share the roast half chicken plus 2-3 sides. The meal was absolutely flavorful on my first visit but not so much the last visit in Dec 2025. Maybe it was a bad night? I thought the flavors fell flat and service was not as attentive. I was celebrating the holidays by treating friends to dinner and had to wave down someone twice to order rounds of drinks. I will give any establishment 20 stars if they are paying attention as to whether your glass is half empty. For me, the food can be excellent or blah but excellent service can make or break a restaurant.

(See pics) Hospitality is completely absent. No one made eye contact for a prolonged period of time after we entered. Yes, it is a very small space, but there was one waiter and one bartender. Never received set ups. We rooted around in an exposed cabinet and snagged our own. And they don't carry any sodas whatsoever. So... enjoy the food but pack your patience and perhaps don't look too hard at the walls of the dining room.

We weren't ready for a 16 oz pork chop or a half a roasted chicken, so opted instead for the burger. At an eye watering $26 I was expecting something more than I got. The short version is that it was a meh cheeseburger on a bun with warm soft fries. It's clearly catering to the summer visitors. Don't think that we'll be back.

I had a Black Manhattan cocktail, supposedly differing from an ordinary Manhattan by use of a different kind of bitters (Amaro) and "filthy cherries." These seemed like basic good quality maraschinos to me (3); nothing "filthy" about them. Nevertheless it was good, fruity, and ample strength. The appetizer selection was small and heavy on bread-based items. (No free table bread was available - grrrr.) Most didn't appeal but the Roasted Garlic did, served with bread (2 kinds: a toasted crostini and a fresh crusty sourdough). The garlic was a whole head, sliced open for easy access and presented on a very hot plate, sweet and mellow from long slow roasting, and served with a choice of cheeses (molten blue, brie, whipped feta, or chèvre) - I chose chèvre and it was very good and a generous portion. A very simple dish not often encountered in restaurants. In retrospect this was the best part of the meal. I felt a little rushed at times and impatient at other times. It took a very long time to get the appetizer so I had nothing to dilute the effects of the strong cocktail. But then more than once I was asked about my entree before I was ready; once when ordering the appetizer and another time soon after I received it and hadn't made up my mind yet. I held my ground and told them I wasn't quite ready, and they accepted that and I took my time eating. There was an eclectic selection of wines by the glass. I had an interesting rosé from Slovenia. My entree was a roasted fish filet (halibut I think? It's no longer listed on the menu) served over a tomato-based sauce. This sauce was richly scented and complex and the plate was attractively garnished with micro greens. But the fish was on the small side and the flavor was monotonous - no discernible browning on the top. The other component, probably an herby cucumber-yogurt sauce resembling raita, which should have been a cool complement to the hot tomato broth, instead was melting unattractively and dispersing into it. Perhaps most disappointing, there was nothing else to this dish. It needed a starch or something (rice, boiled potatoes, or even more of those very good breads from the appetizer - wish I had saved some.) So it's good I got the appetizer first, or I would have left rather hungry. Desserts were also very limited and most didn't appeal. I decided on the Clafouti, which is a baked tart, thicker and heavier than flan, with fruit (black cherries) It was way too hot, didn't have enough fruit, and ice cream would be a far better choice than the amorphous blob of whipped cream it was served with. I should have skipped dessert. It was so boring. As for ambience: it's a crowded, noisy place but in a pleasing way. Very small, and I had reserved one of the 6 seats at the bar (I was dining solo). It's whimsically decorated, like with the grape-covered nude statue holding a candle. There was attractive artwork on the walls, some of which I believe was for sale. I did detect smoky odors coming from the kitchen that other reviewers have noted but I consider that a positive thing, not a negative. So come here if you wish. Check it out and form your own opinion. As for me, I wasn't sufficiently impressed and wouldn't return.
