Brie In Puff Pastry

We went to Arborvine for our 25th anniversary. I spent a lot of time researching restaurants before our vacation, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was delicious. We sat on the patio and we both had filets that were among the best we've had. We ordered Brie and the most beautiful flower was used as a garnish on top. Our server noticed that I was enamored by it, so she brought me a little container so I could take it home. Was a great experience and would definitely recommend.

The one restaurant I make sure I have a reservation for in Maine, and the day is planned around this special evening's gourmet dinner. The setting is quite romantic inside. Plan ahead because it is popular for good reason. We always start out with their amazing oysters and craft cocktails. Next, we had the haddock nicoise and rack of lamb that was outstanding . They have an excellent wine selection. I also highly recommend the house-made desserts.

Lovely location and dishes are works of art. (See pics below) Servers know their stuff and are super attentive, Maybe I'm just used to miami rates but for the experience prices are reasonable. Only open for dinner from 5-8. So early bird gets the worm. Worth it!

Haddock

If you're itching to go out to a nice dinner in the part of Maine, would recommend Arborvine. They have a select menu, and a cute atmosphere. They have an insulated outdoor area, decorated with lights. Romantic spot for a 1:1 or place to take the family. I'd recommend trying the dishes you can't get anywhere else, like the Maine crab.

Blueberry Wine

Very fancy restaurant just a drive away from Bar Harbor! Would definitely recommend for a nice night out. Extensive wine list, and I enjoyed some blueberry wine shown below.

Rude elitists with overpriced mediocre food. When you pay too much for a meal that you could have prepared better at home.

Beautiful ambiance, beautiful service, lovely food…read more We had an amazing time here and the girl at the front desk shared a lot of the history of the original building before they made it into the restaurant. Meal and wine list was great and the portion sizes were amazing.

Our server, Charli, was outgoing, polite and had a lot of knowledge on the food items. She recommended the oysters that are locally harvested and these were by far the best oysters I've ever had. I eat a lot of oysters living in South Florida, but these were so fresh and perfectly salty from the ocean water. The apple mignonette that comes with them is sooo delicious and pairs sooo nicely with the briney taste of the oysters. We also had their version of a french onion soup, onion soup gratinee, and it's like an elevated version of the classic. It has more of a tomato-ish broth in my opinion, but was absolutely delicious. It was really hard to pick a main course because we wanted to try everything off the menu, but we went with the mushroom gnocchi and scallops panzanella. Again, DELICIOUS. I loved how thinly sliced the mushrooms were because they incorporated so well with the gnocchi and sauce. The scallops were perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the fresh, lightly cooked vegetables. Overall, our experience was lovely for our first night in town and would definitely visit again!

White table cloth service. Servers were all excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. This place has the best fine dining experience in the mid-coast. Food was outstanding- every course. I did find the printed à la carte and dessert menus odd as they list the dishes' main ingredients but lack any preparation detail. So we found ourselves having to ask about several dishes before being able to make a selection. Maybe it is on purpose but it made me a bit uncomfortable to keep asking about preparation of the dishes throughout the courses. The only real negative for us is the same negative we had 10 years ago. We were seated in the porch area and I suspect they fill this area first as it has wonderful views of the Camden Hills. Both times we have been seated in there, there have been loud, fairly obnoxious diners (#-bombs flying this last visit) in the room with us. Complete turn off but nothing the restaurant can do about it. We will try Natalie's again but will forgo the porch dining for another room.

The only thing we did notice was the amount of food served on very large plates. Could have had a bit more of everything just saying. Also complimented the Chef throughout to the server and she said he loves to hear people's compliments but when leaving and he just barely acknowledged our compliments. Maybe he was tired but how often do you get a chance to compliment someone especially "The Chef" on their expert cooking. Anyway would we come back in the future but it does have a limited menu so best to check before making any plans.
