Had I written this review yesterday, it would have been 5 stars. However my unfortunate lunch interaction I had today has pushed me to this sad review. I make a point to always dine/shop/visit local restaurants as opposed to corporate businesses. I've eaten at Natalie's and the food is always super tasty. If this review was solely based on the food, again, it would be 5 stars. I ordered lunch for myself and someone else today. I specifically asked that his sandwich be put on white bread- I mean they even asked what kind of bread, then repeated it back to me. Drove there to pick up the food, then drove back to my work not even a mile away. When he opened the sandwich, he saw the sandwich was on wheat bread. Because he is allergic to the ingredients in wheat bread, we had to call. Upon calling, the male owner answered and I explained to him I was just in and the confusion that happened with the order. He told me to "just come back and I will replace the sandwich".. now usually I would have just said OK... but a Monday in the corporate business automotive industry world doesn't really allow absence so I couldn't afford to leave work again. I asked if he could bring it to me instead... his reply was "well what's here? I don't know where you are".. I told him where I work (again less than a mile away), and he said "really I have to drive there? well is someone else eating the sandwich I'm not just giving away free sandwiches".. I explained that, no, no one else was eating the sandwich as the person it was made for was allergic.. and that "not for nothing, but it wasn't my mistake". Before aggressively hanging up the phone he said "fine I will drive there to the front but I am not getting out of my car". Working in a customer-service based industry, I'm upset that someone would become this defensive and unpleasant based on a mistake they made. Its a shame because in person the owner is super friendly. The business I work for employs nearly 500 people, who I assume will also no longer be ordering from there as they were at witness to the phone call on speaker phone. Again, what a shame. read more

I had high expectations after rave reviews from other UB students, but the first visit was just alright for me. Bear in mind that I am Lebanese and picky about my Middle Eastern food, and have been spoiled recently living in NYC with easy access to the best of the best in that department. I ordered a Kafta pita and found the flavor of the kebab to be lacking. It was bland and a little dry, and there was not nearly enough of it- the wrap was 90% veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles). I would also have replaced the standard deli-style pickles with more traditional pickled turnips; they tasted very odd to me on a wrap with hummus and spiced meat! The hummus was tasty although not remarkable. And as another reviewer commented, for what you get, the prices- while not astronomical by any means- seemed a dollar or two too high for Buffalo, considering what they are serving up. Still holding out hope though. The menu is really quite extensive for a little deli, and boasts a wide range of my favorites. The place was clean and the staff was very polite and efficient; we waited just five minutes for our food. The shawarmas looked tasty too. I'll be back for round two. read more

I swing by Natalie's to get lunch pretty regularly. I love their wraps. My favorite are the gyro wrap and the falafel wrap. Warning: wraps are filled with a delicious hummus-sauce that will leak. Eating them in the car is tricky (as someone who has a lot of experience). Their hummus and rice pudding are also fabulous. The staff is nice - they know me by name now. Interior is diner-style. Nothing fancy. Really fast service if you're on the go. read more

Natalie's is one of the places in Buffalo that I really crave food from. They have a great selection for everyone from meat eaters, vegetarians, and those who care for more American-like fare. I find the prices very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. I go out of my way to find an excuse to come up near Sheridan Drive so I can stop by. My go-tos are the beef gyro wrap (the dill sauce they use is addicting) and the chicken lemon rice soup. If I am sick, I want that soup. They usually feature around 6 different kinds a day. The dolmas and falafel are also very good and any of the salad-type items like taboli taste fresh. They now have wheat flatbread (no upcharge). They seem really flexible with ingredients and substitutions. Even if you just want a basic ham sub for a kid, you are set with a wide variety. The interior is pretty basic with kitchenette-type tables and chairs, no booths. You order at the front counter, pay, and food is brought out quickly. They have fridge cases with bottles of pop and snapple. Staff is super friendly and I have seen them explain the items to other customers. You get the family-type atmosphere from the staff as their whole family is often there working or meeting up. Love seeing that lunch rush and the place fill up with everyone from UB students to business professionals. read more

Stumbled on this place when I overshot Sheridan one afternoon coming from UB. Maybe it was the sunshine pouring in through the window, but I loved everything about it. I waited a couple days to see if my enthusiasm for the Chicken Shawarma would dissipate. It did not. I returned and had the Greek Chicken wrap. Just as good. So, with the caveat that I have tried but two of their items, I heartily recommend this establishment to all. read more

Food that is delicious and you feel really good after eating. Fresh. Quality ingrediemts. Made there not made a year ago and kept on ice. Clean restaurant. The dill dip though is very intense and rich. So much dill in there and maybe not yogurt based, tastes more like mayo based -- a little goes a long way. First time here, stopped on my way back to work from a meeting. Ordered today's special, spanakopita and a bowl of soup. I opted for the cream of mushroom. The order was ready quickly, despite a few people in line ahead of me. Got back to my office and the spanakopita was still pipping hot and it was delicious. Flakey dough, delicious filling. The soup was warm but way too salty. I couldn't actually finish it, which was disappointing. The flavor hidden under the salt seemed good. read more

I came here today for the first time on my lunch break. Having perused the menu beforehand I knew exactly what I wanted to order: the falafel wrap. I got it to go. It was ready in five minutes and brought to me wrapped up and in a plastic bag with a thick napkin. One bite and I was in heaven, it was very fresh and filling. The wrap consisted of falafel, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and tzatziki sauce. It was quite large and I scarfed it down. I will definitely be back. read more

Apparently my expectations were a bit high. The hummus was bland and the chicken kabob wrap was nothing to write home about. I found it suspicious that there was american cuisine on the menu. My hope would be greater focus on improving the middle eastern cuisine. read more

I am so happy to have found this gem of a restaurant! I ordered the hummus app and chicken gyro wrap. The hummus was so fresh and I loved the hint of lemon. The gyro wrap was fabulous! It's tough to judge a restaurant on a first impression so now w/ a functioning website and correctly advertising their hours, I decided to give Natalie's another go today and I'm glad I did. Instead of the mediocre Chicken Shawarma I had last time, I went w/ the Beef Gyro wrap topped w/ a killer dill garlic sauce that stayed in my mouth the whole day. Some might consider that a bad thing but it just reminded me of how good it was. Loaded w/ marinated beef and feta, this filling wrap only cost $6.44. I think this place tops Rachel's now for the best Mediterrenean food in Buffalo. read more

I had heard about Natalie's by word-of-mouth recommendation since I'm not a meat-eater. I called in to place an order for the Vegetable Kibby and it was great, I was really happy with it. Manager at Amherst Location he is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. My office has ordered from them multiple times, however, I was new to Natalie's. I called to speak to a manager as there was a $3.79 phone charge attached to my bill. When I questioned him about this, he became VERY angry. Screaming at me on the phone of how many fraudulent charges they have had and that this has been an on going charge since Covid. When I tried to explain to him that I was new to them, he insisted I HAD ordered from him. I couldn't get a word in and was shocked at the anger he had over the phone. I hung up on him. He called me right back and told me "who do you think you're talking to. a kid? You don't hang up on me!" I hung up again. I was so frustrated with him, hanging up was the only option I had rather then sinking down to his level. Hope you have a better day knowing you lost business with my office. read more

Best baklava!!! Chicken shawarma is my go to. It makes me into a garlic breathing dragon but it is worth it.

Love this place, Tony makes you feel like you're visiting a friend. I'm not a Mediterranean foodie by any stretch, but all of the food is excellent. Better than a couple significantly more expensive places I've been. Surprisingly has one of the better fish fries in the Amherst area (what gives with the terrible fish fries up here, there are 2 or 3 places in the Jamestown area better than anything up here) One negative... Don't eat the Chicken Schwarma if you need to be near people the rest of the day. The garlic mayo leaves serious dragon breath. It is delicious, and may be worth it, but be warned. read more

This was a low key place with great food. It was some of the best Mediterranean food I have had. Lots of varieties of soup available and some in our group had that and it looked great. I had the kibbee pita and the ratatouille. The food I had was vegan and perfectly spiced. Definitely worth checking out. read more

This place stands up to the Greek/Med places my wife and I have visited. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. My wife ordered chicken shawarma and I ordered the beef kabob. Both dishes were cooked well but they both lacked some seasoning and were slightly band. A dash of salt resolved this issue. This isn't a negative towards the hummus, but our pallets would have liked some garlic to it. She really enjoyed the rice and said it was her favorite part of her meal. read more

the outside looks sketchy at best. 100% of the time i order the falafel wrap. it's a typical falafel wrap - pretty delicious but not overly awesome. it is a sort of "order at the counter" place. this just caught me off guard my first time there. the baklava isn't that great. when i bring people here they say really great things about their food though! i'd recommend it for sure. it's a hole in the wall - good place to know about if you're looking for lunch read more

Absolutely love this place. Grape leaves are sooo good!! I get them every time I'm here. Its run by a family, great people. I am happy to give them my business solely on that fact, but since the food is great too Im even happier to pay to eat here. I usually get the falafel wrap. The falafel is not greasy like at some other places ive been. This place blows every other Greek or Mediterranean place in the area straight out of the water. Haven't been there in a while since we moved, but used to order takeout regularly. It was always delicious and reasonably priced. I'll have to make my way over there again sometime soon. read more

Portions are small, not that tasty, and definitely overpriced. I've tried them out three times in the last three years, as they are conveniently located on my way to work.
