Exactly what I was craving I like that the left the dressing on the table because I like an ungodly amount of dressing and I was comfortable sitting in front of the door because there was ample space and the double doors prevented the cold blast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly before even putting dressing on the salad. The green peppers were more than I expected but pleasant. I don't always like a pita bread but this one was served on a warm dish and the perfect amount of crisp! There were employees around anytime I needed something and after another person left, they immediately cleaned the table. Looked like plenty of parking. After getting a craving for chicken souvlaki I checked Yelp to see who served it close to me. The Village Grill wasn't the closest but the reviews sounded good. They have 3 sizes. The mini, the regular, and the super size. So naturally we ordered the largest one. The order was definitely super sized! The veggies were all nice & fresh & crisp. The chicken was tender, flavorful, & generous. The pita was served warm. The only thing that changed my review from a 5 to a 4 was the Greek dressing. First, we asked for extra & were told flatly NO. Pricey $7.75 gyro sandwich. Tasty but small portion and no side. Daughter and I felt hungry still after ordering one each. So we ordered the onion rings for $5.99. Crispy and delicious. Again really pricey for just onion rings. After getting two soft drinks with these food items, our bill was over $30 without Tip. Waitress was efficient. The dish here was not particularly delicious. The rice tasted like quick cook rice, it was very poor. The seasoning on the chicken was not really there... it just tasted like grilled chicken. And as if this wasn't disappointing enough, the price was significantly more than the same dish would be at far better restaurants. Finally got a chance to order takeout from this restaurant. They used to only be open at lunch from what I remember, but it looks like now they're open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.! I ordered a small Chicken souvlaki. I appreciate that the chicken was cut into pieces and came with a side of Greek dressing which was good and plenty of feta cheese. The salad came with half a pita bread which was good. My friend ordered the Gyro wrap which came with fries or rice. The fries were just typical krinkle cut fries. She said the Gyro wrap was good, but could have used some sauce/dressing. The man who I got my food from was very nice, but was not wearing his mask properly. Had lunch at the Village Grille and was really surprised. We had a vegetarian sandwich and a tuna melt. Both come open faced on pita bread. Not what I would have expected when ordering a sandwich, but turned out to be super delicious. Did not look too closely at the menu but most of the people around us seemed to be having similar lunches. There is not a ton of seating but we were able to find a seat at lunch during the week. The chicken souvlaki salad is good... it contains a large size piece of pita, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cheese. However, I ordered it to go and although I was the only person in the restaurant, it took roughly 35 minutes to be prepared. Chicken souvlaki salad: the grilled chicken is so tender and well-seasoned, and the lettuce is crisp and fresh. The feta is shaved so you get just a little bit in each bite - no huge chunks of feta - for the perfect ratio of ingredients. Grilled veggie pita: I wasn't sure what to expect, but this had a mix of grilled peppers, onions and tomatoes that were seasoned with some sort of delicious oil-based dressing. Again, the feta was perfectly dispersed to season it and bring everything together. It was so, so good - I didn't expect it to be so tasty and satisfying. Pita bread: fresh, pillowy and delicious. I love trying new Greek restaurants because no hummus or souvlaki is ever quite the same. This particular village grille has pretty awful parking. It shares a lot with the restaurant next door and there are very few spots. Came in around 3 one afternoon and ordered the chicken souvlaki and a side of hummus and yogurt sauce to go. They have a few different sizes for the souvlaki. At first I asked for the mini and then one of the workers went in the back to show me the sizes to make sure that was the one that I wanted. I ended up going for the size a bit bigger than that and it was MORE than enough. I think the mini probably would have been a perfect lunch portion. I waited in the restaurant for a little while and figured my food would take 10 minutes or so, so I went for a walk down Main street to pass the time. When I came back 10 minutes later, the food still wasn't ready but it wasn't a big deal considering the owner made it very clear they are NOT fast food but are FRESH food. I loved that. They, like many other places I have been to lately, had no whole wheat pita. After 25 minutes or so, the food was finally ready. While I waited, the owner was sweeping up the restaurant and making sure everything was really clean. It was nice to see him taking pride in his restaurant and keeping it tidy. I felt like the inside could use a little decoration. The pictures on the wall had seen better days. Onto the food. The salad was DELICIOUS. They don't serve their chicken souvlaki with olives which is great for me. The chicken was seasoned really well and the vegetables tasted very fresh. I took a glance at the yogurt sauce and noticed it was loaded with dill. I hate dill so I was pretty bummed out and almost didn't taste it. HOWEVER, I decided to give it a shot and I actually loved it. The flavor was really tasty. The hummus wasn't my favorite. SO over the top lemony I couldn't hold myself back from making a sour face. Since this place isn't around the corner, I likely wouldn't come back any time soon but it is definitely one I would return to if in the area. read more

Very disappointed in the catering experience we had today! We've ordered from here before for work events and ordered the same amount of food we typically do for such an event. Imagine our surprise when we were delivered HALF TRAYS of food when full trays were expected, as in the past with similar orders. When we called the restaurant to inquire about what we saw was a "mess up" with our order delivery - oh, no, that's their new "scaled back" portion sizes. What?? No apologizes, no concessions, nothing. We had people at our event leave still hungry because of the lack of food. While the food was tasty, it certainly was overpriced now based on what showed up to serve our crowd. And it doesn't compare to the quality of souvlaki available from Zoe Restaurant (which unfortunately isn't closer to our workplace, otherwise that would be our go-to!) We will now be looking elsewhere for catering for our work events. Shame. :( read more

Honestly the best chicken rice takeout I have ever eaten in my life!!!! I ordered the Rice and Chicken Plate Dinner Plate and to my delight, this meal exceeded my expectations! The chicken and rice is mixed in with grilled peppers, onions and tomatoes which is a huge change to what I'm used to eating in my chicken and rice bowls at other establishments like Chipotle. The fork came inside of the container under the bread, so if you open he take or bag and don't immediately see a fork, don't worry, they didn't FORKET about the fork. The only regret I have from my order was that I didn't order two. This is a must-taste for anyone out there that like Chicken and Rice bowls at Chipotle or Moe's. I was introduced to the Village Grille by my coworkers in Williamsville. We frequently get large catering orders from this restaurant delivered to our office. I just realized I've had so many great experiences that it was time to write a review! For catering, we usually order chicken souvlaki, rice pudding, and a chicken/rice dish. The order always comes with plenty of pita bread and dressing. In the many times we've gotten this order, the food has been amazing! We always end up with leftovers to heat up the next day. The rice pudding is one of my favorites in the area. The service is always fantastic. The employees who deliver the food are always on time and help bring our large order to either the conference room or cafeteria. Oh, and you can't beat the price. read more

I get take out from this place enough to be considered a regular. It's close by and one of my favorite spots on the way home if I can't think of anything to eat or make. They have the best chicken souvlaki around. The portions are insane, it's reasonably priced, and everything is fresh. I can get a super sized salad and two people can eat it and be beyond full. Maybe even three depending on appetite size. It's a small little place if you're eating inside. Nothing remotely fancy about it. It's pretty simple. The staff is usually pretty friendly. I love The village Grill! This is my go-to for chicken souvlaki. The mini is a perfect portion size (regular and super available too). I like to order a side of their delicious tzatziki (cucumber yogurt sauce) to dip my pita in. I have, in the past, ordered and loved their chicken finger sub as well. I just can't seem to stray from the souvlaki sine I had it to go back or try anything else new! Service is always quick and pleasant, and food is consistent. The place is small and very casual. I've only dined in once or twice and usually get take-out. I've also heard great reviews about their catering from med reps that have used them for lunches. Prices are fair. Great place, tasty, yet simple Greek/American fare. This place is unassuming from the outside and easy to miss. The inside isn't much to look at either (around 6 tables, pop cooler, a fish tank). That being said the food is excellent. Sandwiches, salads, Greek food, wraps. Very affordable as well. I ordered the turkey melt. Expecting a sandwich I was surprised to find turkey and vegetables with melted cheese on top of a sliced pita pizza style. Will definitely be back.
