Luckily, we found Marina and she gave us the most perfect, relaxing day. Everyone in the bridal party wanted a different look (glam, 1920s, classic, etc.) and the bride wanted to go very natural. Marina was so accommodating to what everyone was looking for and made us all feel beautiful. She spent the entire day with us and helped us plan out the schedule so that everything went exactly as planned and on time. I've been a blonde my whole life but its started to darken as I've gotten farther into my 20's. When I read Marina's reviews she sounded almost too good to be true. I called and left her a message about what I needed and what kind of hair I had and she called back within the hour. I'm so glad it led me to The Makeup Artists - they were AMAZING! I did my hair trial with Jessie and makeup trial with Ashley and both were so easy going and made you feel comfortable right away. Marlo and Jen helped out the day-of, and they felt like part of my wedding party group and made it all that much more fun. They were able to take all of our photos and make everyone look beautifully how they wanted. They were professional and efficient - I was worried we weren't going to get everything done in time, and we ended up finishing early! They were so patient and made sure everyone was satisfied before moving on to the next. I worked with Andrea on scheduling and pre-planning, and she was so awesome to work with! Covid has caused so many plans to be changed or cancelled, but, it also reminds us that there are…read moreamazing people that want to help others. My friend and I found out two days before her wedding that the MUA she hired, had to cancel due to potential Covid exposure. After the shock wore off, my friend and I were planning to do our own makeup. Which, would have been an amazing feat since neither of us wear make up...like AT ALL! I didn't want my friend to have to do her own makeup on her wedding day. She deserves to be pampered and not have to worry about trying to attempt to do her own makeup. In Yelp I typed in "Top 10 MUA Salem, MA." Suite Bella was in the top 3! After looking at the photos and reading the reviews, I sent out an S.O.S.!! Within the hour Gina (one of the owners) responded and said she would be able to do our makeup and she was super close to our hotel. The stars had aligned for us. Gina was kind, personable, professional, on time, listened to what we were going for and most importantly made my friend's day. Gina, I know Patrice and I said it repeatedly, but, we can not thank you enough. We loved our looks! We know this is what you do, and it was only two of us, but, to be able to help and accommodate us at the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs (we're baseball fans) - you were our home run. We both wear a little bit of makeup pretty regularly for work, and maybe a little more for special occasions; but we wanted looks that were a *little bit* bolder and more special that would also stay put for the whole day and night. We thoroughly enjoyed the consultation process, where Grace clearly heard what we wanted and asked lots of helpful clarifying questions to be sure everything would be just perfect. While it initially looked as if we'd be paired with a team member day-of, we were lucky enough to have Grace herself get both of us glam -- plus my step-daughter! So, so perfect for all of us. And Grace is also a wonderful life coach. We opted into the pre-wedding stress-relief sessions (on Zoom), which we both found really helpful in keeping us focused on the excitement and the positives -- rather than the inevitable logistical challenges and problem-solving and nerves -- as we headed toward our big day. Really top-notch service, which among the other plusses brought me to a shade of pink for my lip color that I love but never would have picked for myself in a million years! :) I understand that Grace also does makeup tutorials and more general life-coaching, and while the post-wedding budget doesn't quite stretch to that right now I'm definitely considering it. She is truly talented and made me look truly beautiful, but still like myself- just an enhanced version!
