Best shop and absolute best service! I took 3 of my cousins here to get their haircut and Steve was so patient and understanding of what they needed/wanted. The environment felt safe and comfortable. Energy is everything and this barbershop exceeded that. They took us in so last minute and really accommodated to us and our schedule to get my cousins looking right for school tomorrow! If the hours are convenient and pricing isn't an issue then why not but it's 80... and another thing the wall said 75... so idk if he included a tip or just wanted to charge me extra and the dude didn't talk to me at all he talked to his coworker and then when an older gentleman/customer came in they started talking to him like what kinda service is that and it wasn't that they didn't talk to me it was the weird looks they gave each other when I started to say anything. No consistent customer service, definitely can find cheaper places BUT the cut was good BUT average for a barber worth his salt so kinda whatever you decide on what your needs are. read more

I made an inquiry request through yelp yesterday and Nate responded almost immediately. I wanted a next day (today) appointment early in the morning. Nate got me in at 10:00 AM WOW, was I lucky. Not only did I get the appointment I was looking for, I also got the exact cut I was looking for and I didn't even really know what kind of cut I wanted. I had a vague idea, but Nate knew exactly what to do. I could not be more impressed. I have long grey hair and wanted a nice side fade and top knot. PERFECT! Hair cutting is good, but the barbers here have a hard time following directions. I've gone on three occasions where instead of fading my beard on the sides, they've completely trimmed the entire beard down to nothing. I've been working hard on growing it out just for them to cut it off when I get haircuts. Im paying for a service that isn't what I asked for which sucks as it's very expensive as well. Otherwise the shop is nice and the haircuts are good, just don't go if you care about your beard or adamantly tell them multiple times to stay away from your beard read more

I would trust Nate 100% any day of the week to keep me clean. A little on the pricey side but I was definitely feeling myself after Nate gave me a cut before the weekend. I sent a message to Nate, explaining that I needed special accommodations and he was not only very understanding, he was quick to respond. I went here when he was renovating. shit was everywhere but he was cool and he ask that i give him a minute to clean up. hey, you're going to take care of me so all i can do is the same. I was looking at the services he provided. all i needed was a buzz and a beard trim but screw it, he had a facial service so i was like hook it up. he did. beard came out perfect... lined up the bottom of the neck and back perfectly. but i think the best part was the facial. I had heard great things about Nate's Barbershop and was excited to try a local place as I love to support the neighborhood shops. I needed a haircut for my SFSU graduation the next day and had called in the morning to secure a 6:15 appointment. When I arrived at the shop at 6:15 there was just one barber waiting for me and had me in the chair. He told me his name was Dominic and began cutting my hair. At 6:35 he said he was done and when I tried to question the lineup and how he only did the side of my head and not the whole thing he said that it was as good as he could do. I also said that I did not want to do a fade on the sides or back and left with what looks like a light fade. When I finally accepted that he was not going to spend more than 20 minutes on me I asked for his Zelle and how much to send which he responded with 70$. Now I have gotten expensive haircuts before but for those the expectation is that it is just scissors and not a clipper cut which this was entirely. When I put his Zelle in it came up with the name "Julio" which made me feel as if he was trying to get one over on me as he told me his name was Dominic in the beginning. I did not feel as if this was a professional experience and was disappointed as everyone I have talked to said that Nate himself was awesome and provided exceptional service. read more
