The delivery personnel they use are incredibly rude. She was directed to the wrong building, had security call me to confirm my location (which was totally fine), but then she called me with a nasty attitude because she waited for me for a few minutes in the correct lobby. When I came down, her husband was very confrontational and cursed (by spelling out the words) as I walked away. When someone is receiving flowers, they're usually very happy when they get them... but these are barely what was ordered and their behavior ruined the experience. I placed an order online for flowers and candy to be delivered two days after I had placed the order. I also indicated on the delivery that the recipient be called to inform her of the delivery. I soon found out that the recipient would nor be in the office on the delivery date that was requested. I called and called but no one picked up the phone. So I left a message asking that the delivery be rescheduled to the next week instead. No one returned my call and the flowers sat in the young ladies office for a week. No stars. This business is awful also doing business as Selmat designs. I received welted flowers for an event. The flowers were awful. First off they were the wrong color combination. I ordered purples and lavender but I got pink. However, because my event was within a few hours I was stuck. The very next day we had to throw out all of the arrangements because the dead flowers were very pungent. Do not use this business. Nate' is extremely unprofessional. We ordered roses and orchids but received carnations, tulips and one dead orchid with old nasty Easter palms thrown in the bottom with lots of filler field flowers. Please do not use this business unless you are in the market for off-colored, half dead, stinky flowers. read more

I googled 'Corsage near me' and Nate's (pronounced Nāy Tāy) Flowers and Gifts popped up. On the website, I found several corsage choices which suited my taste. I gave Nate a call and my order was completed over the phone. The corsage was more beautiful than I had imagined and ready on time. It was absolutely gorgeous and the customer service was A++. The funeral floral arrangement was a horrible When placing the order a photo that was shown to my family member from iPad was all yellow roses. However they chose roses and carnations Prices that was charged were close to $400 and it was not worth it. It looked like it should have fitted a child's casket, flowers were not full and there was greenery on the backside of the arrangement only. Family members called before placing order no answer and so they went there (that was a red flag) and she was there. She does not return calls and email messages so not sure what hours she is working. After finally driving by and speaking to her and express my concern and unsatisfying comments as to why she is charging too Much for such poor quality. All she was worried about is that I should not put this in social media and that's not fair to her. Well it wasn't fair to me that such ugly flowers were placed on her casket. She never offered any compensation or apology about the situation. She showed me picture of what was shown to my family and her picture of what she took at her shop with iPad and I showed her my photos. Was told that nothing was wrong with the arrangement and I was the only one to complain about her service. Well if you look on her site a majority is not funeral arrangements. My experience with this florist has been a disaster. They are extraordinarily unprofessional and I can't imagine how they stay in business. Here is the story. I like sending flowers for various occasions and instead of phoning an impersonal order center, I like to deal directly with the local florist that will deliver the flowers. I have always been pleased with the results - until now. When a co-worker was out sick, I did some research to find a good florist near her home and Nate's seemed like a good bet. I tried phoning several times on a Tuesday and always got a message that they were with a client and I could try ordering on the website. OK, I finally did that, choosing the same day delivery option they offered and then had to leave my office for several days for a conference. The next day they called and left a message saying that they got the order late and asked if I still wanted the flowers delivered. I didn't get their message until the following morning and made several calls over several hours trying to speak to a real person, but only got the answering machine. Each time I left a message asking them to please make the delivery and to call me back no matter how late. The next day they called leaving a message that they had no record of an order (really! how did they get my number the first time to say they got the order late!) and that I should call the people who run the website (!!) to discuss the issue with them. Nate's is the only contact information I can find on the site, so that makes no sense. Almost an entire week has gone by and no flowers have been delivered. I don't know if my credit card was changed but since I have a confirmation of the order printed out, I suspect that it has. I am now going to have to spend additional time researching the issue, possibly disputing the charge and, oh, yes, finding a florist who can actually manage to deliver flowers. Nate's? NO STARS!!!! In 2010, I hired Nate's Flowers as my florist for my wedding. The end result was devastating. As a bride can you imagine walking into your reception after months of preparation meeting with Nate (Mrs. Pope) with absolutely nothing as discussed for your flower arrangements. As a customer I was asked to purchase all the vases which I did. I chose the flowers that were to be the center pieces. I also had a bride and a maid of honor bouquet made, as well as a Mother-in-law and groom flowers, total cost $895.00. The vases that I brought weren't used the flower centerpieces were more like funeral caskets arrangements, flowers stuck in green foam as the base. The bride bouquet which cost $75.00 was the size for a flower girl (see below), and the maid of honor bouquet could have been carried by a 3 year old, all the flowers were all awful! To resolve the issue I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB) because I knew I wasn't going to receive any money back. I won my case. Customers please note that Nate's Flowers is part of POPE FUNERAL Home. If you want flowers for an event etc., please use a REAL florist. I'm sorry to say that Nate does not know anything about floral arrangements or the people she hires. I also used Selmat design for wedding invitations no comment. read more

Unfortunately, I ordered a rose & baby's breath standing floral for a family member's funeral in June 2019 with Nate's Flowers and Gifts in Forestville, MD. I spoke directly to Ms. Nate on the Monday of the same week of the funeral which was going to be held on Friday. She assured me the spray would be delivered to the funeral home (which is next door to her business) on time. I asked for the spray to be delivered between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm prior to the 4:00 pm family viewing. Because I was satisfied with what I saw on her website, I paid for the floral with high expectations. Upon my arrival with the family on Thursday for the viewing at 4:00 pm, I didn't see the flowers that I'd already paid for. I waited until almost 4:30 pm and inquired with the lady at the front desk of the funeral home to ask if she had any information regarding the flowers. She told me she didn't but would do research and be right back with me shortly. She came back after stepping away for a few minutes and said she was told by Ms. Nate that the temperature was too hot to put the flowers out but they would be at the funeral the next day (Friday). I mentioned that I wasn't contacted via email, phone call or otherwise of this and I asked for Ms. Nate to call me back. The front desk lady took my name and phone number and said she would deliver the message. As of this day July 9, 2019, I have not received any correspondence from Ms. Nate or anyone from Nate's Flowers and Gifts. I have called on several occasions and again NO RESPONSE!!! Oh and by the way... the flowers were at the funeral indeed..and no I wasn't satisfied with a "thrown together" funeral spray! Roses looked like they were already beginning to wilter. Did I mention that the following week after the funeral, while still in town and trying to reach out to Nate's, the voicemail stated that she and her staff were out on vacation for 2 weeks! I didn't know that florists take 2 week vacations and close their business while they are away and are still expecting orders from potential customers. They are unprofessional and has the worst customer service ever!! (which is none). Nate's Flowers & Gifts are one of the worst businesses that I have ever patronized! I DO NOT recommend anyone doing business with them. read more

Ordered an arrangement from here as there were few local options. Although it was difficult for Nate to get in touch with the recipient due to the circumstances, she was peristent and dilligent. When she wasn't able to leave the flowers outside or get in touch with the recipient she kindly made a complimentary redelivery the next day! I went here on 01/30/2015, Friday. Just to stop by and pick my girlfriend up a nice little something. Ms. Pope was on delivery (it's a part of here job) but nonetheless she helped me when she arrived. I was taken back at how friendly she was. She was definitely able to accommodate me and I was able to get the flowers in a timely manner after she arranged them. She arranged them so beautifully!!! I would definitely recommend her shop. I'm not from the area but I thought I give this place a try and there were no hassles. Everybody that helped out was very friendly and she's good at what she does. I have here card so the next time I'm in town I'm definitely going to her for business. This is the kind of business that I hope thrives for years to come. Very very satisfied with my experience. I had a wonderful experience with Nate's Flowers and Gift. I wanted to order flowers for my mom's birthday at the very last minute. I called the shop and Ms. Smith provided great customer service to me and assisted me with an order in a short time period. She even offered to order the flowers by noon that day so that my mom would receive the flowers before the end of the work day. My mom called me to say how much she really like the flower arrangement. I am a big fan of this place and would certainly recommend it. read more
