Needed somewhere to get an oil change that wasn't the dealership. A family friend recommended Nate. The Kia dealership was going to charge me over $100 for an oil change and tire rotation, Nate did it for only $70. It was fast and I felt super comfortable leaving my car there. I had seven maintenance free years with my 2012 Prius. However, it was getting up there in age and miles, so I was getting concerned about its overall health. I had a 2004 Prius that melted down around this same time/mileage. I initially brought my vehicle into Nate's for a checkup. They ran some diagnostics and made suggestions on needed maintenance items. I started with changing the transmission fluid. Then I follow up a couple months later with the fuel injection system cleaning and new sparks plugs. Shortly after that, I got the dreaded "check hybrid battery" message. Yup, the hybrid battery pack needed to be replaced! And last, but not least, I needed to replace my front suspension. Needless to say, I spent a small fortune on my Prius over the course of the past 12-months. Although I wasn't thrilled about having to make all the repairs, I figured most were overdue and I was riding on borrowed time. Nate's was great throughout the whole process. They thoroughly explained the needed repairs and made suggestions as to what could wait and what shouldn't. Their fee was reasonable and most of all, every repair they made was done right the first time. I could notice an improvement right away and I never had to bring the car back because they missed or forgot to do something. It was fixed right the first time, every time! This was a big relief after spending all the money I had on my vehicle. Often when you bring you vehicle to be serviced, they fix something and break some else and the bill keeps accumulating with no end in sight. As mentioned, the vehicle is seven years old with high mileage. It was helpful to know in advance what work would/should need to be done, so I could decide whether I wanted to get a new car or keep this one. I decided to keep it based on the estimated suggested repairs needed for the vehicle, as it was much less than purchasing a new one. The shop is well run and always clean. Nate is the quiet genius who wields a wrench like a surgeon with a scalpel; and somehow his uniform is as clean in the evening as it is first thing in the morning. Sophie is the front woman who knows more about automobiles than most mechanics who have worked on my car. She explains everything thoroughly and works hard to get you the best price on parts and/or rebates. I feel like I have a new car! I would be confident driving my Prius across town or across country. I seriously wish I could give them a 10!!!! This place is amazing! I have NEVER had such a fantastic experience with a mechanic! The dealer said I needed a new transmission, seemed usual because my miles were low...so I had Nate's Next Gen give me a second opinion. Turns out the dealer was right. Nate's could have just stopped there and said yep...let us fix it, as most mechanics would have done. But no...Sophie went ABOVE AND BEYOND and tried to get to the root of the cause. She worked for weeks making calls and working with the vendor that provided my "transmission flush" at one of those "in and out" shops...which turned out to have caused this premature problem and got the vendor to refund me $2,000!!!! Although the ultimate repair was higher than that, I have never been so happy to pay someone for auto care! I will NEVER go to another mechanic for anything! Sophie has earned a customer for life with her amazing work ethic and respect for her craft! Word to the wise...those in and out quick shops that do oil changes and required "maintenance" of your vehicles are not looking out for you. I have a 2013 Kia Optima hybrid , I bought it in scottsdale from a Kia dealership . Well I have known I needed to replace my battery since I took it in three months ago but the Kia in scottsdale has untrained service advisors so I can only imagine what the mechanics are like !! So today , was the day I had no choice but to get a new battery. My car would not start without a jump. Called the Kia in scottsdale 5 times to get in contact with the service department and all it did was ring and go right to voicemail. So I just showed up , I am not a professional , but with a hybrid I know there is 2 batteries in the car. I asked my service advisor which battery I needed to replace he said, the only one in the car ? After that I left , after 2 jumps and driving allll over Scottsdale I found these guys on Yelp. We called immediately and Sophie got me in within the hour! I am sooo thankful for them ! They not only helped me out at the worse time ever but actually taught me about my vehicle ! My 2007 Prius just 'died' while driving in Chandler. Total blackout and strong smell of electrical burning. Got rescued and immediately got in the internet for help. Found this shop by a google search. Reviews seemed pretty good so I took a chance and had my car towed to them. Sofia took my call and was just great to talk to and really went out of her way to help me understand what might be wrong and how they can help. This was just last Friday afternoon. My car got to their shop Friday after hours. I got a call on Saturday morning with a full explanation of what was wrong and a quote. They could have totally taken advantage of me as they knew I thought the car was a loss. Well, they repaired it the same day (Saturday) with a $130 part and some labor. I got the car Saturday afternoon and met Nate. He was very good about taking his time to explain to me what had happened to my car and even talked to me for a while about another car I have.
