Took my 2004 350z to Chris for repairs as well as upgrades. Other shops quoted me for a clutch replacement for 3,000 for just the labor, and they also wouldn't let me use aftermarket parts (Chris does). Chris quoted me at 750. This was a no brainer for us obviously because that price is almost unheard of. Since Genie Auto is NOT a scam, I was actually able to buy more parts for the car in because I could now afford it. The longer he had the car Chris pointed out more things that could use attention, and took the time to call junkyards (since the car is so old) to find a part for me. You simply will not find this at another mechanic shop. I ended up getting a stage 2 clutch install, flywheel, custom radiator hose, short shifter, tie rods, exhaust, y pipe, test pipes, under shroud, slave cylinder, oil change, and new coolant for under 1k. First of all, my car is 7 years old, 145,000 miles on it and so I figured it was time to find a mechanic and stop taking it to the dealer. Yelp has this nifty feature that you can request a quote from various companies. I took full advantage of that feature and requested numerous quotes. A few of the companies responded that they didn't work on my brand of car. A couple companies never got back to me, one company didn't understand what work I needed done (strange, since all the ones who gave me a quote had no problem) and there were 5 who emailed me quotes. 2 of those quoted me over $900 while the other 3 quoted me around the mid $500's. Why the difference? Ya got me. So, I narrowed it down to the 3 with the reasonable price quotes and of the 3, Chris of Genie Mobile Auto Repair was the only one who was mobile. Why not stay at home and get some work done while the car is being repaired instead of sitting in a shop or having to use Uber or getting a ride. I set the date and time for the repair and everything was awesome. Chris showed up to my house on time. He was very professional and in the end he took the same amount of time to do the repair that the dealer had told me it would take. He was clean and as far as I can tell did a great job. There was a bonus coupon offered via Yelp but even without those savings, Chris was extremely fair with his pricing. I would totally recommend Chris and his services. Since we didn't know who to ask, I relied on yelp I sent a message to a few top rated mechanics asking for quotes. Our 2004 Kia Sorento, the ole gray mare as I like to call her, had sit for a couple months without being ran and the positive battery cable had literally corroded and fused to the terminal and basically melted off from the heat and corrosion! Love the AZ heat! So I either had to tow it to a shop or get someone to fix it. Well I did my Google search and saw Genie Mobile Auto Repair had 5 star ratings on both Google and Yelp. So I gave Chris a call. He responded quickly and came to my place to take a look at the SUV. He gave me the "dealer" option which is to replace everything with new parts (way too many $$$$) and then another option that effectively solved the problem for a fraction of the cost. Bam!
