I am currently staying in Mesa on a temporary basis. A few weeks ago I developed car trouble and did not know a mechanic in this area. You know the things that run through your mind at a time like this. How am I going to find an honest person who is not going to sell me a lot of things I really don't need. I decided to check yelp to see where the locals in this area go. I read a number of reviews and decided to give Future Auto a try. It was only a few miles from where I am staying too. When I pulled in to the garage i noticed it was an older place and business looked to be slow. I found Brian working under the hood of a car he had in the garage. He asked me what I needed and I told him the trouble I was having. He stopped what he was doing and went out to look at my car. He connected his computer and it told him that I had two bad plugs. So he ordered the plugs and I decided to take a walk. When I got back, Brian was returning with my car from a test drive. He said, you are good to go. The plugs are all you needed. He charged me for the plugs and 1 hour of labor. Needless to say, I was very happy I decided to give him a try. I am moving out of town, but if I was going to stay around this area, I would not need to find a good mechanic. I urge anyone who might be in my position, to give him a try. As you may notice, as of today, EVERY review of Brian and Future Service Automotive is 5 Star . . . even the non-recommended reviews they hide at the bottom! This is a 5 Star update . . . My 15 year old car finally died. Blown head gasket, hole in the radiator that sprayed fluid all over the engine. Brian said he could fix it, but it wasn't worth it, time to let it go. He then recommended calling Ecology Auto Salvage to scrap the car. They offered me $400. I did my due diligence, called 4 or 5 other places, but nobody else came within $50 of Ecology's offer. A great recommendation by Brian I have a new ride now, so don't know that I'll be needing his services anytime soon, but I will continue to recommend him to anybody with car trouble read more

Seriously. I love this guy. I've been taking cars there for years, and I can tell you he never gives you a hard time, is totally honest, and never gives you a list of things you may want to fix. One time, he fixed a recurring problem with my oxygen sensors and catalytic converter that another shop couldn't fix (they had replaced the parts twice and still hadn't solved the issue.) Brian looked at the problem as a whole instead of just reading the electronic report-and he fixed it! It was super simple and cost about an hour of labor. I just brought in a new (used) car for him to look over, and he sent me away with an all-ok. If you want a mechanic that will be honest, look at your car as a system, and charges reasonable and more than fair prices, take your car to Future Service. Brian rocks. read more

Brian is a nice guy and the BEST mechanic We have been taking our cars to him for about 15 years and we currently have 5. That includes our kids older cars and our newer cars. Brian communicates well, is honest and thorough. He will work with you on priorities or budget when needed and he does warranty work on newer cars. PHENOMENAL!!!! HONEST!!!!! GOOD MAN BRIAN-saved my doggy! I will be giving Brian all my business for as long as I am in AZ. I went there based on the yelp review Friday after Midas couldn't figure out the reason my car alarm was randomly going off. This was noon before a 3 day holiday weekend and Brian took an hour to sort out the circuitry and unhook some wires to see if anything made a difference. He figured I would need an actuator for my driver door since it's the main lock communicating with the key fab. He did that after the weekend and only charged 145 for it (wouldn't let me pay him on Friday)! The very next day I accidently LOCKED my keys in my CAR with my DOG in it !!!! 95 degrees and dog in car, is a CRISIS. First I called a locksmith so they were on their way in 30 min then the police who said it was an emergency and were sending the fire truck. In the meantime I dialed Brian to see if he had recommendations how to get in best. He actually said he had a box of old keys and they might work so HE DROVE TO US and beat the fire dept and locksmith and opened my car on the 5th key try. Cancel 911 and locksmith, BRIAN to the rescue. Honest dependable service at a reasonable price. He is very knowledgeable and easy to understand and talk too. I have been taking cars to Brian for over 20 years and have recommended him to countless family and friends and he never disappoints. One of the things I love about Brian is his honesty. For example, when you take your car to him, he will tell you what needs to be done right away vs what needs to be taken care of down the road (pardon the pun). For many of the years I was going to Brian, I was a single mom who had been taken advantage of by other mechanics since I knew nothing abt cars. Brian's honesty was and is refreshing and greatly appreciated. My 83 year mom took her car into another shop that she has been going to for longer than I've been going to Brian. They wanted to do close to $2000 worth of work on a car that isn't even worth that much. My husband and I convinced her to let Brian give her a second opinion. After he checked it out we learned that not only did it need the $2000 worth of work but once that was corrected, another $1000 or so would be needed almost immediately to correct various other problems. It's just not worth it on a 20 year old car with crazy high mileage I'm thankful to Brian for helping my mom see that it makes more sense to put that money into buying a newer more reliable car. The other shop would have just kept pulling more and more money out of my mom and at 83, she certainly doesn't need that! I took it to Brian at Future Service, and had the problem (a rare one, at that) identified within 15 minutes-- and a reasonable price figure for parts and labor in the next 10. It was fixed by 10am the next morning, but if I had brought it earlier, it would have been fixed that day. I have been giving Brian my business for over many years now (since my first car!) and before that, it was family who had already had years of business before that.. so I can honestly say that I would hands-down recommend Brian for any automotive needs. We've always had Hondas and that has always been what we've taken to Brian for either routine maintenance or if something has happened (or to get car vitals check if we're buying or selling a used car). I recently recommended him to other family. They have been praising him for saving them many hundreds of dollars on a repair (their other 'mechanic' had quoted and estimated initially) on a POS car they just use to commute. I'm like 99% sure this the place we go to, I can't remember the street its on but the map does seem right so: My wife has been going here for years - she's mostly driven Honda's. Brian specializes in Honda's and Acura's and usually has a few really cool, really old Honda's laying around. The place is run down, dirty and rickety BUT he gets us a great deal every time and always gets my old 97 Honda Accord running again. One time we bought a Transmission Computer Control Unit from ebay because my A/C wasn't working. We took it to Brian to install and it ended up being the wrong one, he had the correct unit in stock and gave us a great deal. After YEARS of frustration with my leaky AC and a consecutive line of mechanics who were either unable or unwilling to fix the problem, I finally brought my car over to Brian. Boy, was that the right decision to make! Brian took out his accurate and specialized freon sniffer detection gear, found exact area of the leaks (from badly connected parts), and proceeded to replace and seal them. The fix turned out to be totally solid! THANK YOU AGAIN BRIAN! "Now as for the merchant, deceitful balances remain in his hand, and he loves to defraud". Hosea 12:7 Deceitful Brian Roy, sold me a Nissan Stanza and assured me that there was nothing wrong with it. I trusted him and purchased it based on his word which I place on equal level as a written promise. This was not the case, the car had a factory defect which he knew about but took advantage of my wife. If your word is not worth the promises you make, you shouldn't make any promises. After I came back and even offered to bring the car in and have him fix it for reduced labor repair, he wouldn't even work on it. The factory defect is the leaking fuel injectors that give off a strong odor of gasoline which can be a safety hazard. Shame on you Brian, Sorry to have to downgrade your spotless reviews list. You can still do right, call us and I will bring the car to fix it for a reduced labor cost & I will pay for the parts and update our review. Update, Brian you are not a dealership yet you sell several cars per month on your lot which requires a dealer's license. What about taxes, are you current with your taxes? What about your employees, are they being paid as employees or under the table? It's good to have our affairs in order before bringing up someone else's. Why do you hang up on us when we call you? We don't want to do business with you either, not after you lied and refuse to work on a car you sold under false pretenses which shows what really kind of customer service you provide. It takes a couple of bad reviews to show your true character. Hope you have an auto dealer's license when the Attorney General asks you about it. read more

I almost never write reviews. However, I'm leaving Phoenix and it's the least I could do for Brian. If you can't tell, Brian is the owner and the only employee of Future Service Automotive (as far as I can tell, anyway) and his shop looks like it got hit by a car tornado. Don't scoff. He's also the best mechanic I've ever met. Most importantly, he is always honest about the service on your car, and will even give you cheaper options if you are hard-up. I've left my car with him three or four times, and he has consistently finished his work on it in less time than expected. He also fully explains the problem with your vehicle before handing you back the keys, and if possible explains the cheapest/best way to get anything taken care of that he doesn't service. Brian will never do any work that you didn't ask him to, and he always quotes the maximum price it will cost (it's worked out to be a bit cheaper every single time, something which is uncommon among mechanics). When I say goodbye to Phoenix, I'll regret losing the best mechanic in the world. If you're sick of dealing with awful car dealerships and mechanics who add on hundreds of dollars of service for no reason, go to Future Service and talk to Brian. He'll be the dude lying on the floor under a car with three fans blowing on him due to a lack of air conditioning. read more

Air conditioning went out on my gf's 2004 Honda Accord and we were fearing the worst as far as how expensive it would be to fix. We took it to a Pep Boys and they couldn't even diagnose the problem and estimated it may be electrical and may be extremely costly to fix. They sent us away. I first came across Brian at Future Service 20 years ago. I bought a rebuilt compressor for my daughters 86 Honda Accord from a place near Bisbee AZ. Within 45 days it failed. I called the place and was told the part was under warranty but I would have to pay for the labor again. That didn't sit well with me so I asked them where they got the compressor. I was told it was a guy at Future Service named Brian. I went to the shop and explained my situation. Brian took one look at the compressor and said that yes it was his work, he apologized, replaced it and did not charge me anything for his labor. Now THAT is what service and taking responsibility is all about. I have taken all our cars, from Honda, Nissan, Acura and Lexus to him ever since. This guy is the best mechanic I've ever come across and he's HONEST!! He will never try to sell you something you don't need and never take advantage of someone that knows nothing about cars.
