Enjoyable roomy booth service with a large roomy granite table and big sunny window. Coffee good. Eggs fine. Friend's omelette was good. Toast a bit dry. home fries... eh? Lol little odd cubes with some tough little hard bites here and there of what not sure - little dried meet bone texture though - but hungry so glad to have them. Service helpful and swift enough. Would return and check out nee things.

Nestled on a little hill, the Glen cove diner offers you a typical diner experience. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, friendly service, and an old-school charm that immediately feels welcoming. The menu offers you all your basic diner staples from hearty burgers, fluffy pancakes, and a great all-day breakfast. The portions are generous, and the ingredients taste fresh. We ordered the New England fish and chips, Californian eggs benedict, corn beef with hash with eggs and a tuna melt. The food was fresh and portion sizes generous. I was disappointed in the fries as they were soggy and limp. However, the coffee, although not gourmet, was strong and constantly refilled by the staff. The Parking lot is spacious, just be warned if you have someone in a wheechair. The push up to the door is a good upper and lower body workout. The landing area and door opening is tight for a wheel chair to maneuver in, as well as a little 2 inch step at the door threshold. Overall, Glen cove diner delivers good food with a very friendly and attentive staff. PS. If you pay cash, you get about a 3.5% discount.

    What can I say?
    The Review Guru ..

I don't normally give 5 stars on everything but this place "takes the cake", I mean literally. I ordered a spinach feta cheese omelette that wasn't even on their menu and they made it for me. I added home fries and rye toast. Instead I got "kibbles and bits" on the potatoes and marble rye. I don't want to site the potatoes as significant but to be honest I was expecting chunks of potatoes as if it was cut fresh. My friend had a club sandwich and fries that looked spectacular. It was so good and big from the picture enclosed he couldn't finish it. Let me add the attention to the coffee service. The waiters didn't stop on the refills and it was constant, Thank You The Diner inside is quite airy, modern with up-to-date furniture and lighting. The natural light coming through all those large windows worked well also with the ambience of the place. The Diner has 2 bathrooms co-ed, both with modern amenities and CLEAN. Parking lot is large with two entry ways, one from Glen Street the other from Pearsal Avenue. That right there should tell you something? If you past one entry way on deciding whether or not to eat here? You'd still have a second chance at their other entry location... LOL *STOP BY FOR A BITE and tell them the Guru sent you. Quality of food , cleanliness ! Staff is great presentation excellent but it seems cook is not versed in basic American cooking . This is what happens with remote control ownership ! Want great Diner food ? Neptune Diner Jericho turnpike , you'll never go anyplace else in Long Island !!!!!!!!

Lunch with my co worker. We both had salads. These salads are real meals. You will not go away hungry. Excellent. Only bummer is Pepsi.

Diners are good when they serve great food. This was one of them! My sister brought me here for the fist time and I really liked the food. I had the Cuban breakfast. I have to say OMG. This was really good!! This consist of rice and beans with eggs, avocado and platinos. My sister had the pancakes that were made perfect. The place looks clean but there is hardly any patrons due to past experiences for what I heard. Will definitely come back!

    French fries

Today was the third time and I had it. I ordered a burger here. Of course rare and this is the third time they used old hard meat and brought it well done. On top of that, for the first time, they gave me these old very salty fries that were not even hot and somewhat cold. Did they bring leftover fries to me? I'm pretty sure it is if it's this old and cold. The service is fine as usual. The waitress and waiter are friendly and all, but using old meat there times in a row, and this old salty cold fries at dinner is just absurd.

Excellent food! The Monte Cristo was delicious. The French toast and bacon were excellent and the Greek Benedict was divine. Amazing portions, delightful waitstaff and fast service. You can't go wrong here. I don't understand the lower than 5 star ratings!! If I ever find myself in Glen Cove again, we're stopping here for sure!

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. Good (not great), pricey and very close to my hotel room!

Ultimately, our experience ended up right in the middle--some hits, but a few noticeable misses that kept it from being a stellar meal. The Highlights: The Coffee: Easily the absolute star of the morning! Rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection--it was easily the best part of the entire visit. The Atmosphere & Service: The overall setting is lovely, and the staff kept things polite and attentive throughout our meal. Where It Fell Short: The Drinks & Food: We ordered virgin mojitos, but the orange juice base tasted surprisingly flat and off, almost like it had been sitting out too long. The Omelette: I ordered a classic omelette, and while the presentation was decent, the execution was just plain bland. It felt like it was lacking key seasoning or fresh herbs to give it life, making the whole dish feel pretty uninspired. All in all, it felt a bit sub-par compared to the usual Roslyn dining standards. That said, brunch can be hit-or-miss depending on the day, and I'd still be open to coming back to give their dinner menu or other options another chance.
