We have had a fence installed by Nathan's Pool Fence since about early 2021 when our pool was finished. After inspection we took it down (we had no lil ones around just myself and my husband). Around late 2022 we called and asked if he could use the door and parts from the unused fence to move it to a different area (closer to our driveway area instead of around the pool). They came out looked at what we asked for and did it (for a fee) perfectly. Now we are 2024 and are grandparents! So of course we need the fence back around the pool section. I had booked a pool fence installation with this company today. The installer showed up on time and began doing his measurements. I noticed that the measurements went all the way to my neighbors wall. I asked the installer how he was going to attach the ends of the fence, he said that they were going to attach it to my neighbors wall. I advised him that since it wasn't my property, he was not going to be able to do that. He said that he would have to then add an anchor pole and that it would be an additional charge. I explained to him that the owner Nathan never told me that he was planning on attaching the fence to my neighbors property and that I would not be paying for the anchor pole. He called the owner who agreed to wave the price of the anchor pole. The installer then advised me that he was going to have to remeasure the fence and add additional holes on my concrete since he was adding the new pole. I had him mark where each additional pole was going to be laid out and noticed that one of the poles was going to be directly on top of a troweled cut in the concrete. I asked him if drilling a hole there would cause my brand new concrete to crack, he said that it could. I explained to him that his boss Nathan assured me that they would not crack my concrete, he said that with the new layout, he could not assure me that it wouldn't crack. I asked him if he could custom fit the mesh so the pole could be move. He explained that their product is preordered in four foot sections and that they could only shorten and not extend the mesh without drilling more holes in my concrete. Not feeling comfortable with more holes in my brand new concrete or taking the chance of them cracking it, I decided to cancel the job. If you are looking for a basic designed fence and aren't worried about your concrete then this isn't a bad company but if you want something custom and assurance that they won't crack your concrete, I wouldn't go with this company. read more
