Their workspace was always clean and thoughtful for our pets and family to traverse to and from the house while they worked on the project. And most importantly, the finished gate and fences were clean, high quality and polished... and better than we imagined! Our second project we just finished this past month was our deck (and roofing as our garage sits underneath our deck). They replaced our leaky wooden deck with new beams, proofing/coating, tiles this time (the whole nine) and it is perfect- complete with polished iron, a side gate to match our existing gates/aesthetic and touch ups where needed. Tal was very transpararent from the beginning and made us aware of the pros and cons for every material and promptly finished the whole project within two weeks. He said that the weak hinge was a problem causing the gate to not be even and that I needed a stronger hinge. The repairmen came by within a few days but an hour early when I may not have been there. He welded the new hinge and the problem was still there. The gate wouldn't close because the space wasn't there. The repairmen said he was only there to weld. He called the company to talk to me about this issue. The company called me and said everything looks good right? It was not. He and the repairman had a long conversation over the phone because he had to be somewhere else. The repairman after checking the closure, stated that a space/hole needed to be cut into the wooden pole to push the metal plate in. He ended up putting in the hole and it does close now. The repairman did really seem to try to fix the gate. Overall 3.5 stars. Positives: The initial service call and repair time was quick. The gate looks fixed and repairman who came out seemed nice and tried to make things right. Negatives: Putting in the new hinge didn't really seem to fix anything and felt like an extra cost still. On the phone, they tried to explain that they have a lot of experience with these gates and that the hinge needed to be replaced. With all that experience, why did they not see this other problem. After they fixed the gate, I then recalled that a different gate company in the past (for a different issue) told me the pole was the problem. Maybe I will use that company in the future instead. The company seems to track reviews closely. I got a call about my review within 15 minutes of posting. They wanted to find out what happened.

The gate on the other side was functional, but in serious need of a cosmetic upgrade that complemented our new garage door and gate columns. Many of the contractors we reached out to were unwilling to accommodate our design requirements. We really wanted wood-looking vinyl gates with an arched top to complement the rest of the house. Pro-Vinyl Fencing was the only contractor in the Thousand Oaks area willing to bring our vision to life. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable and actually beat out several other estimates we received. David was our primary point of contact throughout the design process. He was extremely patient and went out of his way to accommodate all of our specific choices. The main reason we are taking off a star comes down to installation day. The installer (who was separate from David) installed the drop rod on the wrong side of the gate, requiring a second visit to correct it. We also suspect the installer contributed to a few scratches on the gates during the job. Beyond those hiccups on the installation side, we were thrilled with David's customer service, the affordability, and Pro-Vinyl's willingness to execute the exact material and arched design we wanted.

Was lagging on getting a pool fence for the longest time. Wife and I hear a tragic story of a toddler drowning in a pool and we immediately want that peace of mind to keep our little one safe. Called Tim on a Monday, set up a time for a free quote. Showed up as scheduled, which I hard quality to find in companies now a days. Tim was very friendly and gave me a reasonable quote. So I decided to go with Pool Guard of LA. Came over that same week on a Sunday at 8am and was done by 10 am. Tim and his assistant did a very clean job. He went through the steps on where the holes will be drilled and walked me around the pool to get a feel of the distance from pool to fence would be. My issue was with the way my inquiry was handled and it ended up being a fairly large inconvenience to me. I have a rental home with a pool in a large yard. I needed a safety fence installed for new renters who have a toddler. Long story, but there were already holes from a previous fence and when I called to schedule an estimate, Leran told me they could install a new fence right away and use the existing holes without having to do anymore drilling, or minimal drilling. This was quoted to me over the phone without seeing the property. I sent some photos and he looked at the property on Google images. I agreed to have them come. The installers arrived and told me they actually couldn't use the holes but wanted to drill a bunch of new holes and they were ready to start on the spot. It felt like a bit of a bait and switch. I've never had a pool fence before and I really didn't know much about the installation. I do now, and I know that they were really short-sighted (or deceitful) in giving me a quote over the phone and promising me one thing without seeing the property first. I felt pressure to go ahead and buy the extra holes because they were already there with the equipment and the fence, unloaded in my backyard. But ultimately, I decided against it because I know the extra holes would look horrible. Their price was also pretty high. I ended up buying a used fence/gate from a really nice guy on FB Marketplace for and my handyman installed it for me, only having to drill a couple additional holes for the gate. All for about 1/4 the price I was quoted by Pool Defence. Yes, it was a little more work and research for me, but I saved a LOT of money and I have a great, compliant fence now. Not here to trash this business, but be honest about my experience.

Unfortunately, I didn't get that level of reassurance here, so I chose to go in a different direction. I'd recommend others ask detailed questions about licensing, insurance, and policies upfront so they can make an informed decision. This is a child safety product, it's not worth cutting corners over a lower price. **Update after owners response** Thank you for confirming that you are not licensed. That clarification is important, because in California, a contractor's license is not optional for this type of work, t's a basic consumer protection requirement for projects over $500. It ensures a contractor has verified experience, understands building and safety codes, and carries the appropriate protections for the homeowner. Pool fencing, in particular, is not just another home improvement project, it's a critical safety feature designed to prevent accidents. If you're cutting corners by not having your license I can only imagine what you do with these installations. Sad that we, the consumer are not knowledgeable enough to see what looks right and what doesn't. And I wouldn't trust any of your 200 reviews, offering incentives tied to reviews makes it difficult for consumers to evaluate feedback objectively.
