I had never been to Nathan's when it was on Park and I still haven't been inside their current location at the Henrietta marketplace. I ordered delivery via Yelp/Grubhub yesterday and was REALLY impressed by the timing of my order (I ordered for 12:30pm and it arrived at my door at 12:31pm), and how delicious my entire order was. If you get a soup, be prepared to reheat! It didn't come completely cold, but it came at basically room temp which I was totally good with. I reheated it to my piping hot preference and was ready to dive in. And dive in I DID! WOW - the cheesy tomato bisque is absolutely delicious. There are some small chunks of roasted tomato and the cheese makes the bisque souper creamy. I ordered a small soup with a sandwich, but in the future would likely just order a side of the rosemary olive oil bread to dip. An ideal lunch! For my sam, I went with the stuffed tuna, and stuffed it was. This is a huge, bready sandwich made with whichever of their homemade breads you prefer. Classic, cheesy garlic, rosemary olive oil and a few more options. I personally loved the soft bread and thought it went perfectly with the tuna and soup. I wouldn't necessarily order delivery from here again (fee was steep at $7) but I would absolutely order for a group from here, or do catering! This was one of my favorite go to restaurants that I would order from my favorite is their broccoli and cheddar soup and they're half tuna half egg salad sandwich on the garlic cheddar bread. My issue with the restaurant is they offer delivery services but whenever I go on the website that they contract with it always says the restaurant is busy and not accepting online orders. During the week this is my way to order from this restaurant and I hope at some point this will change so I can order from there again. read more

This was my first and most likely my last visit to Nathan's and it went like this...First off, there's plenty of safe parking on the side of the building...Next, the room is easy to get around with very tall ceilings, almost industrial in its appearance...Now onto the food, well there's various salads to choose from with the usual stuff like any other salad places...Cobb, Greek, tossed etc. also a variety of soups to enjoy like cheddar broccoli, Italian wedding, Chicken etc. There are also cold drinks such as various soda's and tea's...I decided to make my own salad choosing up to five ingredients and an iced tea...Total cost of around $14.60...So, the only thing that caught my attention was the less than friendly woman at the order station, even when I said it was my first time there and looked as if I needed some help with all of the choices to choose from, she was stone cold that was all I got from her, hardly a word spoken...The salad was fresh and the tea ice cold and nothing more in my opinion, maybe I should have tried the soup...Anyway give them a try and make up your own mind. read more

I grabbed a quick lunch at Nathan's with my girlfriend based on a recommendation from her co-worker. We were both rather disappointed with the meal as we tried their new Ramen Noodle dishes. The highlight of the Ramen noodle bowls was the chicken bone broth, which had great flavor. This must stem from their prowess at making homemade soups because everything else about the Ramen bowl was disappointing. The boiled chicken breast was unseasoned and poorly cut before they splashed some bbq sauce on it and set it atop some "ramen noodles." The peppers were raw and crunchy like you would want on a salad. The hard boiled egg was sliced in half and cold in the center. The final kick in the gut was the "ramen noodles", which were more like broken in half angel hair pasta with an overly soft consistency and no flavor of its own. This was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to finish my "Korean BBQ ramen" on the cold December day. I also tried the Seafood soup, which was good but not enough to redeem my overall experience. read more

Asked for saltine crackers, was told "We have been out of crackers for 3 months now" (Ok but grocery stores have them). Mmmm it was OK, a decent selection of soups and sandwiches (didn't try a salad) that they serve fairly quickly. I was a bit disappointed in the existence and amount of filler items in the soup lots of potato or in my buffalo chicken overcooked elbow macaroni? I never think elbow macaroni when I think buffalo chicken. The chicken, roasted red pepper n limp bacon sandwich had good flavor. I'd agree with other reviewers that the chicken seems like the solution injected prefab stuff. We sampled a jalapeño bread, which they forgot to give us the first time around. It would have been so much better if the cheese was melted or warmed, what magic bread gremlin can cook bread without the shredded cheddar melting? I tucked it away and toasted it into a magical ham sandwich the next day, well worth the wait. Lobster bisque wasn't on the menu but a crab chowderish option was. There was a hefty portion of imitation crab, I think a disclaimer would be nice when not using the real thing since real lobstah is reportedly used in the lobstah bisque. read more

I love this spot for a quick work lunch! Sandwiches are fresh and delish! I recently tried the Korean Ramen. It was ok...I really was hoping for the actual ramen noodles. Especially since it was labeled as such. However it turned out to be spaghetti. Or at least tasted just like spaghetti. Went about 1pm on a saturday and most of the breads were sold out but still managed to get the garlic cheese which was amazing. Fresh baked and warm. Tried the tuna salad on croissant and the cream of potato soup. The meal as a whole was very satisfying . You know how after some out to eat meals your left with that "bluuuuhhhh" feeling? Here I was left with "mmm yes delicious" . The tuna was really good. The soup was perfect for this blast of cold weather we just encountered. I'd never ever been here although I'm here at the Genesee market sort of frequently to go to Lori's and Palmers and 2 friends at work clued me into it as a good lunch spot. I've been here twice and loved it. I mean... the soups? please. They will give u tastes of whatever they have on special for the day to help u to decide if ur up in the air about what u want. They scrapped the bottom of the barrel, and then for some strange reason, put it in the microwave cause it was cold??? What??? So I was with friends and had it to go. Upon eating it, there was NO broccoli, just cheese broth, and I was still in disbelief they nuked it. The favor was ok, but with no content. So disappointing! Some people give a place 3 tries, I am sorry after 2, I am done. So a huge thumbs down for this establishment, that I thought I would really like. Customer service is slow, as you will wait, and they have NOOO problem giving you their scraps for the high price you paid. Cream of potato bacon... mac 'n cheese soup... cream of broccoli... I'm incapable of ordering the "healthier" soups when I come here. I'm tempted by the cheese and the carbs in all aspects of life. It's a top pick for me for lunch, especially in the winter. I love to warm up with their hearty soups and their breads! While it's not a gourmet loaf, it's a nice bread to dip into your soup. I opt for the ones that have special additions like the pepperoni cheese loaf and the jalapeño cheddar. I've tried the garlic cheddar one, but found the garlic a bit to overpowering as it was slightly browned from baking, which blasts out the flavor. Top choice of them all is the jalapeño cheddar. I also tried a small salad, which isn't actually that small. I'd only get the large if it was the only thing I was ordering. I added a scoop of tuna on top which replaced the need for dressing as it was enough moisture to coat the spinach (you can choose between spinach, spring mix, and romaine). Salads come with 5 options for toppings. Hearty! I choose to add carrots, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and celery. My whole meal for a small salad and a small soup was ~$8. This particular location is the largest and has space to sit if you're coming for lunch. It fills up during the 12-2pm lunch rush. It isn't open for dinner, unless you swing by before 6pm to grab a pint of soup to go. read more

Got takeout from here on a day when we just didn't feel so great and it was really gloomy outside. It was good comfort food, and I didn't have to cook! We ordered the broccoli cheddar soup, cheesy tomato bisque, cheese bread, and garlic cheese bread. They all had pretty good flavor and the bread was REALLY soft and perfect to dip in the soup! If you're ordering for dinner, I'd suggest ordering the large soup and one of the breads - it was the perfect amount! The reason for the three stars is that I just felt like this was nothing over-the-top or really special. A lovely gesture on the part of the Brighton Central School District PTSA was to provide all teachers and staff at Twelve Corners Middle School with a complete bagged lunch from Nathan's near the end of the school year. The issue for me was that there were no fully plant-based options. I was going to let it go, but the PTSA rep who was at the school distributing the lunches last Friday insisted that I be included. She took down my contact info and said she'd make sure I received a lunch that was compliant with my diet, but nothing materialized, either that Friday, or the following Monday, as promised. I gave Nathan's a call to see if there might have been some miscommunication. I spoke to Rick, who got right on board and made sure a vegan lunch was delivered on Tuesday, which consisted of a generously-sized crisp garden salad with balsamic dressing, gluten-free bread, red grapes and a bottle of water. I know Nathan's doesn't generally cater to my food demographic, so I was very appreciative of this effort. read more

And I am really not into imitation crab. Yuck. It was too sweet and all I really wanted was the chicken salad sandwich. The cheesy tomato bisque soup was super gelatinous and mealy. I ordered my sandwich on the garlic bread, which didn't even taste remotely like garlic. Pretty disappointing lunch. And their chalkboard in the front had Fridays specials on it... And it's Saturday. My officemates seem to love Nathan's and have made Wednesday a weekly Nathan's adventure for their Lobster Bisque. I definitely enjoyed the bisque, and it was priced about right considering it had real chunks of lobsters in it. I've tried several other soups since(they have a continually changing plethora of soups), but nothing has really come close to the lobster bisque. The only thing that really turned me off about Nathan's is their bread. The bread is served extremely doughy, not to mention it is cold. When you have soup you definitely want a warm, crunchy bread to dip into your soup. If they could just toast the bread a bit I think that alone could bump this to a 4 star review. I really want to love you Nathan's, so please take my constructive criticism to heart. read more
