This is my favorite restaurant in the area! I come here every time I'm in town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The quaint moody atmosphere is perfect for a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is always friendly. Yummy drinks and top notch food. My favorite is pasta #2!

Met my friend during her lunch break and it was a nice experience. The food was good and the people were kind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lunch is just on the bar side and it was full on a Friday afternoon so plan accordingly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the mushroom burger and shared the pretzel. The burger was yummy and the pretzel was huge. Will be back to try dinner!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing better than sitting fireside with a glow at the unique and very cool national public house in the little town of Leechburg.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostess was our first warm hello and she was more than happy to take our annual bd pics in the beautiful staircase. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was busy on a Friday night and we enjoyed a beverage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From there Erika took over the fun evening with her friendly professional and extra special service for my birthday celebration. She was outstanding making sure we were not rushed and times it perfectly. The calamari appetizer was served hot which we love and was excellent. Two nice sauces with it. I also had a small side salad which was fresh with the homemade ranch dressing. Yummy. My halibut was delicious with fingerling potatoes and zucchini crispy julienne style and light sauce went well with a nice Chardonnay and my guy's filet was perfectly done and was as tender as could be. Leftovers are in the fridge. Cheesecake with berries and a cup of their best coffee topped off the night. Erika was more than willing to take our fireplace pics to capture the warmth. Always my annual bd celebration and highly recommended to all. Parking lot is right beside the pub. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fine dining with a trendy neighborhood vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wish it was in our neighborhood but always worth the trip.

    Very cool decor

The food was great. We had the loaded hush puppies and the pretzel. But the cocktails were super expensive. Twice the local average.

My absolute favorites are the blackened prime rib with teriyaki And the salmon wrapped around lump crab but this time I had the LUMP crab stuffed mushrooms and peanut butter pie. Great bar and drink options. Fine food in Leechburg! I either go here, la vigneta winery, or National public house if I'm in the area craving some fine food and drinks.

The apples were crisp and fresh and the dressing was a nice pop of sweet and sour poppy dressing. My girlfriend enjoyed the Jumbo Lump crab cakes. The jumbo lump meat was delicious. It came with mashed potatoes, braised carrots, and coleslaw. I had the New Zealand Oro King Salmon. I had my blackened. The lemon dill aioli had a nice tartness to it. While the mashed potatoes, braised carrots and the bean sides were very tasty, the potatoes and carrots felt a bit heavy for the salmon summer dinner. But that's a personal preference and they were still really good. I appreciated the local beer options and really enjoyed the Dancing Gnomes Wishbone Pale Ale. We will definitely be coming back for another meal.

A Hidden Gem Worth Leaving the Turnpike For! After making…read morethe drive between Northern Virginia and Ohio for more than 20 years, we couldn't believe we had never discovered Out of the Fire Café before. Anyone who regularly travels the Pennsylvania Turnpike knows how hard it is to find a truly memorable place to eat. This one is absolutely worth the short detour. The atmosphere is charming, the view is beautiful, and the food exceeded every expectation. We had to try their famous mushroom soup, and even though I'm not normally a mushroom fan, it was hands-down one of the best cups of soup I've ever had. The smoked salmon salad was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Filet Mignon Sandwich special, and every bite was packed with incredible flavor. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home and added to what was already a wonderful dining experience. We finished with the Bananas Foster. While it wasn't the tableside flaming presentation you'd find at a fine-dining restaurant, the flavor was outstanding and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be making Out of the Fire Café a tradition on our future trips. If you're traveling the Pennsylvania Turnpike, do yourself a favor and make the stop--you won't regret it!
