My first trip to this place, i bought dough mixer on jan 19 2021,, Axis brand, The manger says its really good brand. I brought it home and it runs for no more than 5 second and it stopped that was evening, so I called next day and they said to bring it back , so they can look at it. Her name was Jennifer, she was very nice . So they said its fuse burnt out. I have no idea, its a brand new dough mixer and first day the fust burnt out, normally the other store will either refund money or give new merchandise. But they just replaced the fuse and gave it back to me. When i bought it this one didn't have box so i want to make sure its brand new. The manager said its brand new. but when i brought home there was scratch on the bowl , also the Asix brand name was just glued poorly just came off. I did ask the sales lady Jennifer about return policy she said there is no return policy. so Now i am stucked with poorly made dough mixer which is no use for me . 1 it don't do its job, it makes noise after few second once dough is bit mixed. i need to return this help me, thank you kesh shakya 202 213 8399 read more

This restaurant supply warehouse is located right off Route 1 a bit south of the old Laurel Mall. As a bartender, caterer, and amateur cook who keeps a meticulous kitchen, I go here for my supplies because (1) they sell quality things and (2) they sell those quality things at great prices. It's family-owned and -operated, so much so that 1 of the owners' folks is almost always there to show you what they have in stock: super-nice people, and they know their stuff. They let me in 10 minutes after they closed on Saturday (2:30PM) because I only needed a couple of things and promised to be in and out fast :) The online catalog doesn't show you all the things they have to sell, either. It's a huge warehouse, so it might help to call ahead for more rare stuff like a naan baking oven. Poking around the floors will reveal this or that odd implement that you've been missing for years but forgot you needed. For instance, I've been down to 4 potato nails for a couple years and no store in Columbia, MD sells potato nails that aren't cheap Chinese crap. I went there on a lark and voila, they sell Japanese-made potato nails that are larger and made of better metal than the ones I had. You can equip probably a couple dozen different types of restaurants with the stuff they have, and you can do it at a good price. My only beef with them is that they don't sell the "Pulltap" corkscrew / wine key, the Cadillac of service corkscrews. Other than that, everything they've sold me has stood the tests of time and use. Heck, they can even sell you an authentic Persian rug for your restaurant! I really like this place and I recommend going there to all my bartender and caterer associates and cooking acquaintances. Theirs are the only extra business cards I keep in my wallet (besides my own). This place is handicap-accessible. P.S. don't scrape your front bumper on the way out. 1 of their 2 driveways is a bit steep, so drive in and out carefully and at an angle if you have a large car. read more

I'm just a hobbyist home baker but this place has helped me get high quality tools (mostly containers). It's nice to be able to lay hands on things like 12 liter acrylic buckets before buying them to be sure they're exactly what you want. But today, I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I told them I needed a container that I could store about 35 liters of flour in and they helped me find a container that was good safe and does the job. While I was there I grabbed a few other kitchen tools (a bench scraper, an ice cream scoop I'll use for cookie dough, and an extra metal tongs) for very low prices. Bottom line: yeah, they don't have a detailed website and they're more geared to business to business purchases but that doesn't mean they can't spare a few minutes to help average consumers (like me) fill a hole in their kitchens with just the right tool. read more

We ordered a 2-door Flower Display Cooler online. All the business to complete the transaction, pay for it, and set up immediate shipment, went very smoothly. The delivery of a 500-pound cooler from Maryland to northwest Florida took only a few days, and the unit arrived in excellent condition! It is up and running, and already paying for itself with additional impulse sales from our walk-in customers! We needed a stainless steel sink for our school and it turned out National was in Laurel where we are. First of all the size of the building was amazing for Restaurant Supply store. I've been in the restaurant business before and this was by far the largest I've seen. And of course it was brimming with equipment on multiple floors - so selection is fantastic. Ours was a relatively small order, but I the service I received from Arya was over the top. Exceedingly patient, friendly and attentive as I kept changing my mind. Not only did he personally deliver the sink to the business, I accidentally left my phone at the store and he immediately drove it across town to our company! And we're not even a restaurant and therefore not likely a returning customer. Amazing! The only possible negative was that the table arrived with plastic still on it which will require some effort to get it all off. However judging from the how to questions on the net, this seems like a common problem, and therefore likely a common practice - so I won't dock a star for it. I recently bought equipment for my catering business from National Restaurant Equipment. It was a wonderful experience. A friend of mine told me about National and I went there with an intention of just looking around but I ended up buying everything on my list. I had no idea that they have such a huge showroom and warehouse, whatever I needed was in stock. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous; the owner himself showed me equipment from different manufacturers and helped me stay within my budget. The servicemen were not only competent, but pleasant to deal with, they delivered on time, took away my old stuff, installed the new equipment and had them working in no time. We bought an ice machine almost 3 years ago and I called them when it started to leak. Turned out it was our fault because we had neglected to change the water filter because it was out of sight behind the machine and the line became plugged. Also, because of 18 months of construction dust, the underneath pan drain was clogged. National sent a guy right out and he took care of it. Very good service and very easy and friendly to deal with. I went looking for some oval dishes and was surprised that they had very few dishes at all. If you are looking for commercial stoves, ovens, fridges, ice machines, or lobby decorations this is the place to go but I suggest that you look elsewhere for cups, plates, etc. read more

This place is great. I'm starting a business and needed to get a few things so I can get cooking. I looked for restaurant supply businesses and chose this one due to the good reviews. Boy was it a good idea. I wandered all over the place, the back area goes on and on, looking at everything they had in stock. I was looking at some pots when an employee asked me if I needed any help. I rapidly said a couple of sentences to him including a question or two. Unfortunately, his English is minimal and I felt kind of bad when he just stared at me for a minute. He was able to help me find a lid for the huge pot I chose and was very nice. I finally settled on some other items and went to the front to pay. Cathy was awesome and helpful as well. The prices were very good too.I will definitely go back for other items as I need them. I was searching for new pasta bowls for my home. I had been looking on Amazon but decided to check out National Restaurant Equipment and Supply since it was near my house. I'm extremely glad I did! The staff was extremely helpful and I managed to get four high-quality, durable ceramic bowls for less than what Amazon was charging for bowls that I was worried could break in the dish washer. I went to the store today to get a coffee maker for my home and was served by a female staff. It was early morning and I can see that the staff were all busy and trying to start their day. The female staff was inpatient, rude and condescending. She repeatedly told me (three times) that the store are meant for commercial sale, not home, by the way, this is not true as I have been there before. When I wanted to see a model which is on the top shelf, she asked repeatedly if I really wanted that double filter model. How can I make any decision if I had not seen it and do not know what a double filter is. As a customer, what I know is that I want to buy a reliable coffee maker with a bigger pot for my big family who are all coffee-addict. As a staff representing the company, I feel that she is not well-trained in customer service. Maybe, she do has knowledge about the product she is selling but she definitely do nt know how to put it across to her customers. read more

My mother and I went into business together in 2006, when we took over a 100,000 sqft high scale sports bar in Rockville. Many of the appliances were out dated and simply worn out. Although our budget was very limited we knew we needed to replace a lot of the equipment behind the bar. We went to National Restaurant Equipment and Supply with little hope of finding anything of quality within our budget. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the sales staff and the owner, Parviz who was SO hospitable. The sales staff was so knowledgeable and informative about the merchandise and answered all of our questions. We explained our budget crisis to Parviz and he worked with us to stay within our means, while still providing us with good, quality products. We got 2 used beer coolers in great condition, and a new bar work/service station along with a three spout beer dispenser. They were on time with the delivery and they even set it up for us! You can't get that sort of efficiency and service from an online supplier. Shortly after we renovated our kitchen and purchased all new equipment which has allowed us to completely revamp our menu. We have now opened two more restaurants and we've purchased a lot of equipment, and after doing our research and comparing prices we always come back to NRES for the service, quality, and the fact that Parviz will beat or match the competitors prices. read more
