We were on our way to breakfast and the Hubbs saw the now open sign, and veered in. I wasn't looking forward to it, but he puts up with all my Asian food. It didn't help that I could see 88 Bao as we parked. Tiny spot located in the new shopping center off of 120 and Airport next-door to Dutch Brothers. The Hubbs got a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, and a soda which came out to over $21 before Taxes! I was also charged $1.75 to add cheese to my chili dog. Not sure what type of cheese it was because it never melted. What did look good and was priced reasonably for fast food was their breakfast. We should've taken the queue as everyone else was ordering breakfast and done the same thing. Their pancakes and French toast looked really good. The Hubbs bacon cheeseburger did taste good and the onion rings were the best thing we ordered. My chili dog was underwhelming with what tasted like canned chili and cheese that never melted. We got a cherry cheesecake to go, and it had that old school taste that is more nostalgic than gourmet. The place is tiny with only three or four places to sit. Most of their orders were to go or doorDash. There was so much condensation on their desserts showcase, luckily it didn't affect the taste of the cherry cheesecake. We've been here twice now since they opened. First time we ordered online for pickup. Fast easy process burgers were good smaller than what I remember In the past but it was good and filling. The onion rings were fantastic I love me some onion rings they did NOT disappoint. My son and husband both had fries and I stole a few from them and they were delicious. We ordered a chocolate pie just as good as I remember. Next visit we went in to order to take home some breakfast - which I would like to mention they do breakfast all day which I was not aware of. I had the meat ham omelet it was very good with hash browns. My son had a breakfast sandwich which he was really good and filled him up. Husband preferred his usually eggs hash-browns pancakes and toast. We all enjoyed our meals. We will be going back The place is small only a few tables inside and outside it does get busy since it's right off the Hwy and next to mavericks and Dutch brothers. read more

Went to nations this morning for the first time and ordered their breakfast. It was amazingly good however we got the sliders. Also I would not recommend getting the sliders. They are dry. There was no meat on the little quarter Patty. It was horrible dry and not very tasty at all the cheese was on the hamburger and the hamburger was so dry. ZERO RATING!! DON'T GO!! We went for breakfast Sunday at 8:45am. First off they ran out of coffee and never made a new pot. Gave us 2 different sets of dirty knives with dried egg stuck to it. Paper thin pancakes. Staff was nice young ladies but said they were surprised the'd be busy Sunday morning for breakfast. Super disappointed. A couple walked in and with only 4 tables had no where to sit so they left. I felt jealous and wished I could turn back time so I could've gone somewhere else. Fantastic long time Bay Area burger and breakfast place! Had a fantastic visit to the new Nation's burgers and Pies in Manteca. Burgers were great, fries were cooked to perfection chili was great, custard pie was fantastic! The owner Sulbha is awesome. I used to go to the Nation's in San Jose / Berryessa in the 80's when she was at that location. Was so nice to see her and reminisce a bit. What a wonderful Lady! Do yourself a favor and stop at this Iconic California restaurant! All their breakfast , burgers, pies ...... grilled cheese....etc. are delicious . Food is not that great, customer service is worse. They gave me a dirty knife and instead of giving me a new clean one, she said "I'll rinse it off for you" and gave it back still dirty. I was disappointed by the behavior of some of the staff during my visit. There were three older ladies working there who were openly talking about customers in Spanish and laughing at them as they came in to place orders. Unfortunately for them, not everyone is unaware of what is being said--someone present understood the conversation. Regardless of the language being spoken, customers should be treated with respect and professionalism. Judging and making fun of people who are supporting the business is inappropriate and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds employees that all customers deserve courtesy and respect. read more

New Nations in Manteca is garbage! Came for breakfast and everything except for the hashbrowns that I asked to be crispy came way over done. Gave it another chance tonight for dinner. The burgers were way over cooked. Well Done isn't even a real description. They were like leather. Along with the bacon could break teeth. Only reason I could eat was because of the toppings. I have loved Nations for 50 years! My issue with this Nation's is that when you order through Door Dash you can't ask for no onions on your burger. Not everyone likes onions. They need to add a section that states no this , no that, like every other restaurant. Also the place is tiny there's only like 5 tables , so obviously your counting on to go or online orders. So your online options should mirror your in-house options. I was there the morning they opened and was a little disappointed. The lettuce on my burger was limp and not crispy as I'm accustomed to and the dressing they use on their burgers was very sparse. Also their fries were overcooked. On the flip side , we had breakfast this Saturday and it was as good as any Nations I've been to. Matty melt was super cheesy and delicious. Wife's cheeseburger was great. The fries and onion rings were nothing special and we didn't finish them. Waitstaff were personable and friendly. The store was clean. We were surprised at the very limited indoor seating of four tables, but it wasn't an issue this trip. Felt bad for the workers & the people trying to eat inside, way too hot & come Summer if will be miserable. Menu is easy to ready. Prices felt higher then usually. I recently went to the nation's at 1445 S.Airport Rd in Manteca. It was the worst dining experience that I have had in years. I purchased 2 orders of kids cheeseburger sliders,1 harvest burger,2 orders of fries, onion rings , 1 cheese burger, and 1/2 strawberry cheesecake which costs me $67.78. The meat and condiments on the burgers were spoiled and smelled bad. The only thing that was savageable with the meal where the fries in onion rings. Everything else had to be thrown out.And we had to stop elsewhere to get food. I was very upset and disappointed.What a deterioration of the quality of the food at nations. Unfortunately, by the time we realized the food was not edible.We were over forty five minutes away from the restaurant otherwise , I would have returned the food. My advice would be not to patronize the nation's burgers food chain at all.But if you do , please make sure you check your food before leaving. Burgers were very good and tasty, service was ok little slow, however the food was hot, place was very clean not enough place to sit and eat enjoy your meal.
