    French toast combo
    Tere M.

If the quality and portions matched the price I'd have left more stars. We go out for breakfast maybe once a week and this place by far has been the most expensive for the least amount of food that was lacking. Pictures shown are for the stuffed French toast, two orders of the French toast combo, and two orders of the churro/cinnamon pancakes. Service was friendly but they never came around to check in or refill our drinks. We also had to wait a bit for our bill. Decor could use some work, it looks like they're aiming for a Texas theme but it's very mismatched and the music playing sounds like it's from an AI station. We likely will not be back.

Food was real good! Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant was clean. The country music was not bad. Stopped in for breakfast. Try the chileques with red sauce. Delicious!!!! The cinnamon sugar churro pancakes are gigantic! My 9 year old who LOVES pancakes couldn't even eat a quarter of one order. Waitress kept my coffee cup topped off and hot. There's so much to love about this spot. If I'm ever in town again, I'll be sure to come back.

Chef Mairicio and Sous-chef Marisol are On Point ! Delicious food. Top Tier Service Staff. Very clean and happy ambience. Come see them. No regrets. Next time I am trying the 8oz Ribeye Skillet.

Stopped in to eat breakfast on my way to Lake Tahoe with some friends, and the food was quite good for the price! Our server Jose was friendly, respectful, and kept our drinks full and the coffee was fresh and had flavored creamer . They also have daily specials. Would recommend to stop in and grab a bite to eat!

They say everything is bigger in Texas...even here in Manteca, CA. Texas Country is cooking up their version of Big T sized food!! The "Country Skillet" is a layered monster with biscuit, scrambled eggs, bell peppers, onions, sausage topped with white cheddar cheese and country gravy! Trust me this will give you a couple meals. Stop in and check them out. Staff is friendly, food is delicious, restaurant is clean and well decorated.

We notice this cute place from our door dash account. We went on a weekday around brunch. I had the stuffed French toast combo and churro pancake combo. The place had a Texas feel. I'll definitely come back and refer some family and friends. Server was friendly and quick. Food came out fast and delicious. Portions were enough. I probably could have just had the French toast and not a combo. The French toast was so filling. I would get both dishes again. I want to try something savory next time. The only reason why I didn't give 5 star was the dirty knife in my utensil roll. But overall excellent.

Came here for breakfast and loved the country vibe -- good music, fun décor. Portions were huge and everything tasted great (the chilaquiles were YUM). Big shoutout to Jose -- best service! He kept our drinks full, checked in often, and had us laughing with his jokes. Exactly how service should be. Good food + good vibes + great service = we'll be back!

While I was in the area killing time I stumbled upon this place. The menu is pretty cool. The atmosphere is good. They messed up on my order though. I ordered a Texas cheeseburger and they gave me a regular cheeseburger. It's ok since they charged me a cheeseburger. All in all I will come back again great food great staff definitely try it out.

Needed breakfast and was out in Manteca - I don't know anything. A fellow said check these folks out. He said "I felt like I was in the "50''s." It's a cool room - nice vibe, good menu and the staff was super friendly. Had a customized omelette and it was delicious. Hash browns crispy and all the little details were perfect. And did I mention the staff? Yep, nice folks. Enjoyed and next time will check out lunch. Enjoy!

Visited this place while working close by and glad I did! The food was good and overall being from Texas I enjoyed seeing all the Texas decor and the chicken fried steak I had been missing. The food had good flavor and cooked well and had good presentation. The service was good and no issues at all. Will consider coming back here to taste other additional Texas dishes.

This is my second time visiting this Breakfast/Lunch spot. I really want to say they knocked out of the park. However they have fallen short for the second time. The first time I ordered the Portuguese skillet and it had no Portuguese beans . I feel the reason is because it has linguica , "If you know You Know". It was average at best. This time I order the Red Chilaquiles. The presentation was fantastic, see photos. However just like the skillet it had no gas. Luke warm red sauce mixed with corn tortilla chips topped with two eggs and carnitas. It was average in taste again at best. Final thoughts. Texas is big and this place has a speck of Texas flavors. PS the staff is very nice the place is clean and plenty of parking. They also offer Veterans discounts. Also, I may try one more time in the coming weeks but, for lunch.

Everything is fresh, wholesome, and intentionally made. You can tell they care about the food they're serving and the people they're serving it to. For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. Given the multitude of licenses at stake in such enterprises, I wish to share my recent experience at this location. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.

You can tell a lot of regulars come to the place because of the happy personal greetings many were getting. I love that kind of atmosphere. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and the tradition and mushroom ravioli main dishes. While the bruschetta is flavorful and had plenty of topping, and the homemade bread delicious on its own, I was expecting the bread to be more crisp and thinner cut slice than a thick wedge. My traditional ravioli was delicious and very plentiful, I had a full to-go container ready for leftovers the next day! I also tried my husband's mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce and I actually enjoyed it a little more than the traditional. Overall the homemade ravioli was delicious and reminded us of another place we used to frequent in the San Jose area that had their own raviolis too, but we agreed Noni's was even better! We will be back another time to try more dishes!

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)
