I felt neglected during the whole service even for a weekday, will not be coming back again. Ordered the chilaquiles habaneros, ordered my eggs over medium and were made over hard. Very impressed by this Mexican-American Fusion spot. Came on a busy Saturday afternoon and waited a while for a table but I can understand why. Definitely as yummy and delicious as it looks. We came here on a Thursday morning. We got sat right away. They have lots of booths, tables and I love the ambiance of greenery. We're from Orange County visiting family and we really didn't find a lot of restaurants that were appealing up until now. We came across this gem. My wife had the chilaquiles with the green sauce and I had the Americano Classico with the cream brûlée French Toast and let me tell you, it was to die for and if I had all the time in the world, I would have love to order all of the food on the menu because everything looked so delicious when the waitresses were coming out the various assortments of foods (Oink Oink). The food did not disappoint. I loved the way our food was put together and the quantity, plus the inside of this restaurant was very modern and very welcoming. The seats at the bar which we were seated because we didn't want to wait were comfortable. The only downside is that the seats at the booth were slippery, so as soon as you are about to sit, your chair would slide, but other than that, We love this place. The service was impeccable, our server Jaylene was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a better server, she was the best. We visited on a Saturday shortly after they opened at 7AM. We visited early based on a recommendation that this place gets busy as the later morning approaches. If you don't like crowds or wait times, this was a perfect time to visit. This place an upscale diner/bistro type vibe. It looks fresh, clean and new. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our waiter took our drink order, which was drip coffee. I'm not sure what kind of coffee they use, but this was the best tasting drip coffee I have ever had at a restaurant! I ordered the Chilaquiles with red sauce and Chorizo. When the food arrived, it looked great and was presented well. The portion size is on the larger side, so make sure you're hungry. I am happy to report that the food tasted as good as it looked. They cooked the tortilla slices perfectly, which gave everything a nice crunch. There were a bunch of options on the menu that looked/sounded great. I hope to try one of their French toast options on my next visit. The yelp photos will have you conflicted on your decision as all the food looks amazing. Wait staff was on point by continually coming by to check on us and top off coffee. At the conclusion of our meal, payment was settled in person at our table. Our experience here with food quality, taste and wait staff service earned it a 5-star rating. Went to eat brunch on a Sunday, I joined the waitlist in Yelp before we left the house and there was a waiting time of 45-55mins. We arrived a bit early on the suggested time to be seated, so stayed in the car until our table is ready. We got seated after 60mins. The place looks clean and pretty. The staffs are friendly. We ordered American Breakfast with Creme Brulee French Toast, Tiramisu French Toast with eggs and bacon on the side, Kid's breakfast and Kid's Burger with fries. My kids ordered Piña Colada Strawberry Non-alcoholic Drink and I got their Caramel Macchiato. We loved our food, and we will definitely go back here to try there other food on their menu. read more

First time we visit Bistro about 2 years ago, food and service were really good. Now 2 weeks ago we had breakfast there and waiting time on food took too much, plates were served 1 at a time every 8-10 mins. Service not so good and what surprise me was the $15.75 Party surcharge for a party of 6. My 3 kids, wife, sister in-law and me. Also the charge of $7.20 dollars extra for paying with card. Server said oh don't worry about those charges, will take them off, but they did charged my card at the end. I really don't like to write bad reviews about restaurants, but definitely Bistro salt and pepper deserves this bad review, hopefully they can get better in the future. Love this place. I went solo Saturday around 11-12 and the place was packed with a lot of people waiting outside. Since I was just one person I was seated immediately at the long bar. We even suggested to split into 2 tables of 4 and were told it would not make a difference. Staff did not know how to work around with a large group.
