The service was amazing and I love going here for milkshakes! Thanks to the amazing staff for everything!

This place is known for burgers but my friends that live in Oakland brought me here specifically for the banana cream pie. They have a pretty big selection of fresh made pies including seasonal ones. Got the banana cream and ended up eating the entire thing between 3 of us just due to how delicious it was. Tons of banana and the perfect sweetness!

Visiting from Los Angeles my father is from here and told us we must go here . It was a perfect littler start to my nephews birthday. The cheesecakes were amazing ! BIG SIze everything -- the cheeseburger with bacon was cooked perfectly

My general rule of the worse the food looks the better it tastes definitely applies here.

Love nations burgers This place didn't disappoint This order was great: Cheeseburger w/ chopped chilis Chocolate shake Next time: -will add an egg to the burger

    CHOCOLATE CRME PIE (HALF)

Found 2 weird things in pie! The smaller piece is like a thick piece of plastic, like the end of a plastic tube, and the larger looks like a piece of bone?!! A fish fin?!!! idk but I'm absolutely disgusted. Never again!!!!

Well, I didn't come here for the burgers. Really, it was late at night and I was hoping to find a salad and a sweet ending. When I walked in around 11 pm, the place was busy, and filled with folks waiting on their food and talking about Waffle House. I realized I wasn't going to find a salad, so my attention shifted to the pies in the case. They looked so magnificent, but I've never really been much of a pie fan. I chose lemon meringue for the mere fact that I've never actually tried a lemon meringue pie (or any meringue if I'm being completely honest). We also took home a banana creme pie and the blueberry cheesecake. The slices were MASSIVE. Now, here's what was shocking to me: the banana creme pie was perhaps the most delicious dessert I've ever eaten. Mind was blown. It was so fresh, and not overly sweet. It was just...a new sweet obsession to fantasize about. Now, I understood the appeal of bananas and creme as an oatmeal flavor! I wish I could tell you how I felt about the burgers, but they just didn't interest me. And I don't think I'll ever have a desire big enough to try any of the food there, either. But I can confirm, THE BANANA CREME PIE here is recklessly tasty. You're welcome.

The moment you walk into the shop, you'll notice the current flavor offerings displayed on colorful ice cream-shaped signs across the wall to the right. I could spend an eternity studying each flavor, but there's limited space to queue indoors so really gotta decide on a flavor and serving style fast in order to keep the line moving. Among the flavors were some classics, fruity/floral mixes, and dessert-inspired ones too, a whole range so there's something for everyone. I got the Breakfast Brownie and it was unforgettable! It tasted creamy and delightful without being overwhelming, while the cornflakes mixed inside added a satisfying crunch to each bite. I came back a second time before a show at Crybaby, a smaller venue across the street. Grabbing a scoop here to-go has naturally become part of my pre-concert routine at this point and I plan to come back again next time to explore more flavors. If you're ever heading to a show nearby, I'd definitely recommend stopping by beforehand for a lil energy boost and treat.

Also, whoever they have making their flavors is super creative! They list out all the flavors on the wall on super cute little ice cream scoop cut outs for you to browse while you wait in line. It is definitely more of a takeout ice cream spot with not a ton of seating so you either gotta get lucky with seating, wait for a spot, or take it to go. We got the pandan strawberry and the milk & cookies + cream. Next time I stop by I really want to try out their sundae!

I was surprised that no one spoke of business specifics in their reviews. There is a limit to how many can come in; and you are not allowed to touch anything when inside. There are also no prices listed anywhere. We thought this was odd. Our order: * Personal Peach Cobbler * Walnut Brownie * Banana Pudding For these 3 items, our total was over $25. The service was friendly but a bit awkward. You are only able to see cases of dessert options, it is more of a pick-up point, not so much a bakery location you can browse. I wouldn't suggest coming as a large group, there is no where to sit to enjoy your baked goods and parking is very difficult. While the cobbler and banana pudding were good, I wasn't a fan of the brownie. My partner enjoyed the cobbler a lot, but when we did the calculations, the prices were astronomical. I'm not sure what gourmet difference the items contained, but we likely would not come back to this bakery considering prices and parking. The location is cute, in theory, but with no actual location or displays, or price lists- what you pay for doesn't balance out. The lack of transparency for prices was very sus to us. I'm sure the business will continue on especially with how much they charged. I can't imagine the bakery location and building rent costing a lot as far as operating costs; as it is small, and not expansive at all. The price of the baked goods doesn't even go towards branded packaging. Which could be understandable. The only beverages available that I seen was Nesquik. Steep prices with no justification - especially when you have other bakeries in the area, in addition to Nation's for Pies, very affordable and classic as well. E&J's has a great banana pudding and cobbler as well for $6- they are also a Black-owned business and family operated. Absolutely no bad intent, just wanting to share transparency in my review so Yelpers know that prices are not listed, which means they are subject to fluctuation- in this economy that is not a fair way of doing business. One star per item we liked, for this review. As much signage is visible upon entry regarding rules and limited persons for entry at a time- not one area provided prices; only signs that tell you not to touch. It's required by law for prices at every establishment to be listed, according to SB 478 for general consumer goods and services in California.

I've been lucky enough to try four of their flavors, and each one showcases their signature silky texture and deep flavor. All are not too sweet! My personal favorite is the Kyoto Matcha - the matcha is high-quality, with a vivid green color and rich flavor that balances beautifully with the creamy cheesecake base. The Original is a classic for a reason with deeply caramelized top and creamy interior. I also tried the Iribancha, a roasted green tea flavor. It's intense, smoky, and unique..maybe not one I could finish in one sitting, but definitely memorable and recommend for those who want that earthy/smoky taste. The truffle was also a standout, adding just enough umami to round out the sweetness. Preorders drop via Instagram (@basukucheesecakes) and sell out lightning-fast. Otherwise, plan to line up for slices! Wishing Basuku all the best on their next chapter. Fingers crossed for a return to the Bay someday! They own an apartment in Paris and I didn't want to offend them with my usual guerrilla tactics. I'm known to fight dirty and conspire with others during this game and everybody hates me because of it, and I didn't want to be banned from their apartment, as Paris in the fall is lovely. Thus my journey with Walter began. One thing about me, is I respect a place that knows flavors. I don't want basic vanilla, give me some weird and strange and flavorful that will tantalize my palette and ignite my senses. Give me salty and sweet. Give me TANG. Give me these things and DONT give me gas. Bad Walters cracked the code. All flavor, real dairy, no lactose, no gas. Each week they have a different batch of flavors, so there's always something new to explore. There's like 6 flavors to choose from at once and they let me try them all before I selected my choice hehe. I tried to sample 6 flavors at Cold Stone and they took me out back and shot me, but here, nobody was mean to me. Mr. Potatohead is the flavor I landed on--brown sugar custard with peanut butter swirl and chocolate covered potato chips. The chunks of chocolate covered potato chips were lodged in the ice cream and I felt like an archaeologist excavating ancient rocks as my spoon lifted the potato chocolate chunks out of the creamy custard into my mouth. I bought a pint. The Mick Jagger was another joy, with its salty caramel and Oreo chunks. They're lucky Peaches Christ was sold out because I might've lost my mind for a peach cobbler ice cream! The employees are very helpful and kind letting you sample the flavors. Our absolute favorite is tinky winky- ube flavored ice cream with honey comb pieces. They also sell points to the side- take advantage. You'll want more when you're done! The ambiance and vibe of bad Walter's is perfect. Bright colors, disco ball dripping, fun sayings on the cups, the whole 9 yards. The take home pint we got has Reddit "hate" comments and their responses, it's hilarious. This ice cream store is way more of a vibe than any marketing agent could dream of. Who would've thought I wish I could be a rep for an ice cream company? Oh and they also do a stamp card when you buy pints to get a free scoop. You bring in the containers so they can recycle them. It's a win win for both sides, loves it. Best ice cream ever!!!

One day it will be perfect, the next the coffee is barely warm when one has asked for extra hot; or one coffee will be sweetened and the other not at all when the instructions clearly ask for light sweet. One day we got two espressos instead of two cortados! The heated fatayer were cold in the corners and all crowded on to one plate so you couldn't tell which has which filling. Just generally, it's as if the people behind the counter no longer care that your experience should be great or that one cup of coffee that you have in your day be perfect!
