I want to say that I absolutely love my visit to this location. The staff was so sweet and so nice. I had to do jury duty and it's walking distance from the courthouse and I could get my low-carb hamburger there. Melinda was the person who helped me and made my food. I've been doing a low-carb diet for years now and it was absolutely the best burger I had that has been prepared like that. A small little place very quiet very close to Jacqueline Square. I haven't had Nations in years, so I decided to give their pies another try. I ordered the banana cream pie and the cookies and cream pie. The cookies and cream wasn't really my favorite (not enough of the cookies taste), but the banana cream pie was fresh and definitely the better of the two. The whipped cream on both pies could use some improvement. Since it's such a big part of their pies, I was expecting better. Next time I'll get the pumpkin pie. read more

Gross. Cheeseburger was low-quality, disappointing, fries were pretty good. Staff was friendly, seating area was relatively clean. The three homeless individuals IN the restaurant took away from the atmosphere. Their odor overpowered what might have otherwise been pleasant aroma of a greasy diner. Each begged for money while IN the restaurant. Customers gave them cash, wisely on their way out. Even if I had gotten my food to go, it still wouldn't change my opinion of the food. I wish I had stayed for a slice of pie cuz they looked good. But I just couldn't take the smell and the disturbing behavior around the dining room. I'm not saying I will never visit a Nation's again. Just not this one. Especially since there are much better places out there with better burgers and fries for the same price. Hope I don't get robbed after I leave. read more

Well, I didn't come here for the burgers. Really, it was late at night and I was hoping to find a salad and a sweet ending. When I walked in around 11 pm, the place was busy, and filled with folks waiting on their food and talking about Waffle House. I realized I wasn't going to find a salad, so my attention shifted to the pies in the case. They looked so magnificent, but I've never really been much of a pie fan. I chose lemon meringue for the mere fact that I've never actually tried a lemon meringue pie (or any meringue if I'm being completely honest). We also took home a banana creme pie and the blueberry cheesecake. The slices were MASSIVE. Now, here's what was shocking to me: the banana creme pie was perhaps the most delicious dessert I've ever eaten. Mind was blown. It was so fresh, and not overly sweet. It was just...a new sweet obsession to fantasize about. Now, I understood the appeal of bananas and creme as an oatmeal flavor! I wish I could tell you how I felt about the burgers, but they just didn't interest me. And I don't think I'll ever have a desire big enough to try any of the food there, either. I was in the mood for cheesecake, and I knew I was going to be passing near a Nation's location, so I ordered ahead for half a plain cheesecake a little before noon through Nation's website for pickup and immediately got an order confirmation email. Strangely enough, there was only option for getting half plain cheesecake and not the whole pie on their website for this particular location, but I was able to find options to order a whole plain cheesecake from this Nation's from third party delivery app sites. I arrived a little earlier than the scheduled pickup time - I scheduled it for 6pm but arrived there at 5:50pm. It was somewhat busy there, so I waited behind a few other people who were in the phone pickup line for a few minutes before they were able to help me. However, when I told a worker that I was here to pickup my order and showed the email on my phone as proof, they said they hadn't received the order. They said at first that this could be if I had just ordered a short time ago, but I explained I actually ordered before noon and it was a bit odd that their system didn't even notify them of the order despite me ordering 6 hours prior and it being 7-8 minutes before the order time by the time I was asking them to check for it. So maybe that's a problem with Nation's website or ordering system that needs to be investigated. However, the worker did take my word for it after seeing my email confirmation of the order and quickly prepared the half cheesecake for me. I am quite happy with the cheesecake itself, it was $12.95 and quite yummy - sweet, but also a little bit sour. It is soft, so be careful when you're transporting slices out so that you don't drop the cheesecake pieces. read more

This is the worst Nations in the Bay Area. They do not want your business, especially if you are a white male. I have tried to go here repeatedly over the last 20 years and they either ignore you and take orders from non-Caucasians behind you (yes this really has happened multiple times here), or just completely ignore you, not even acknowledging you are there at the register waiting to place your order with no one else in line and nothing on the grill, they'd rather fiddle around with the lettuce bin or wipe the counter than take you order (literally what happened to me today). At least the homeless guy in front who glared menacingly at you as you went in has gone (after years of residency). The food is the same as all Nations and therefore quite good, but this is the rudest and most dysfunctional Nations in the entire chain. I would like to give it 0 stars... read more

It's really uncalled for and I'm pretty upset that they did that. Why not just give me some fresh onions instead of all the ends.? The 5 Star is for the award winning cheesecake specifically! I've always loved Nations as the cheap late night burger joint that we went to after everything else was closed for the night. One night before a holiday weekend I saw dozens of cheesecakes flying out of the door and figured that it was worth a try. Their staff is always great to work with. They're always friendly and try to keep things afloat. The place is a bit dated and run down. The restaurant also smells a bit stale. It feels like something within the store is in need of cleaning or deep cleaning. The POS (point of sale, not the other Acronym) system is a bit slow, so despite how fast the staff is, it takes a while to process the order. I feel like this is also the place where a lot of working people come to grab breakfast or a cup of coffee, which is very welcomed.
