I was looking forward to going to this location, I was sad to see that it replaced the L&L that's been there for a while. The layout was pretty much the same, people that worked there were ok. They didn't do anything to make you feel welcome. Food was delicious but didn't like how they mixed the hot food with the pies. Not the best, not the worst. Ordered the sliders and they were tasty but the cheese wasn't close to being melted. Nothing say disappointment like unmelted cheese on a burger. Got some onion rings and they were a solid 7/10. Pies looked good but I'm positive they are previously frozen and thawed out. read more

Gave a few months to try this location again. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries and soda. No customers were in the restaurant when I arrived. Order came fairly quickly and I was able to ask for, and get plain mustard in packers as honey mustard only available at condiment station. Staff pleasant, but when my food was presented, the paper wrappers/bag were coated in grease....I used to like Nations fries when they were steak fries ..nice and thick and potatoey. Now Nations uses thinner fries with some form of coating. Not tasty to me. Many cooked hard all the way through. The burger came as ordered and was OK. As usual, Pacifica usually gets a chain location that ends up being below standard. It's easy to see why this place is not very busy and does not open as early as others in the chain. If you make a great meal, people will come. Greasy presentation puts people off. Otherwise the restaurant was clean in the dining area. I won't be back. read more

Stopped by Linda Mar shopping center to pick up some dog snacks and saw this Nation's where L&L used to be. I decided to go in and get a couple slices of pie for dessert. I ended up ordering a chili dog and fries or my husband, chili cheese fries for myself and two slices of pie. The counter service was quick and friendly. The inside reminds me of L&L as the set-up was similar to what it used to be. The order took about 45 minutes to come out though, but I did discover an accidental bacon cheeseburger in my bag when I got home. i guess that's my consolation prize for the long wait. The kitchen has some kinks to work out but overall not a bad experience. read more

I've gotten the onion rings, chili bowl, and milkshake from here before and I've never been disappointed. I order and always get my items within 10 mins. The quality isn't like amazing but it's kind of what I'd expect from a "Denny's"-like type of place. It's clean inside and the cashiers I've had have always been nice. I used to love nations but every time I go there is a annoying issue. Today there is a sign on the wall that says from 10/2-10/6 fries and onion rings are 2$. Nowhere on the sign does it say you have to have their app. This is not right. You cannot say you get this and then say oh you have to give us all your info to get it. It needs to be represented on the sign whether in small print or not. The food is fine, can be good (review my food below). Second time here and not cool. I brought it up to cashier but they just point to the qr code to download their app. It is misrepresentation. It should be illegal. I think it is. Oh well otherwise place is fine. Just don't expect to pay what they say you pay. All they have to put is with app on sign. They don't have that. The food is decent. On this visit the burger was cooked well. The fries could of used another minute in fryer. This one has the honey mustard that is key for me. Food, Service and Ambiance are nice. Ripping people off with a sign that states nowhere that the app is required to get the price as advertised. Big no no. I grew up with Nations in Pittsburg, Ca so finding out it was coming to Pacifica was great news and I couldn't wait to try it. I've been since they opened a few times in the shopping center and I'd rate my experience hit and miss.. There's been times when I've gotten my food and it was AMAZING!! I mean my burger is nice and hot, the fries are perfect, my burger is cut in half (as requested).. super nostalgic all around for me.. Then there's the bad things.. Like when I ordered for pickup, came 15 minutes earlier than expected and my order was sitting and then when they gave it to me, my fries were ice cold. I asked for new fries and they just dumped my fries back into the fryer. Cuz they came back dark and hard and just not worth it.. Or the time I asked for grilled onions and they put both grilled and raw onions on my burger. All and all though, I prefer them for a burger over McDonald's in the shopping center. They also open earlier so if you want breakfast at like 7, they're open.. and they close at 11 which is also great for people working late. I just wish they had a better system for pick up orders. Like maybe have the left side for pick up and that way the cashier can tell Who is ordering and who is picking up. I've gotten stuck waiting to pick up my order because the person in front doesn't know how to use the app for points, or the person in front doesn't know what they want entirely.. which is fine but it's bothersome when these interactions are taking 10 minutes while my order is dying on the counter. read more

So glad Nation's opened at Linda Mar:) I had a great experience. Food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere all 10/10. I had breakfast-eggs, pancakes and sausage. Ordered at the counter . Helped myself at the drink station and also got a squeeze bottle with syrup. Everything was clean and organized. I asked for extra butter when I picked up my order, I offered to pay but I didn't need to. Everything was cooked well. As I was eating someone came over and asked if everything was ok and did I need them to bring me anything? This was such a nice surprise in a serve yourself place. Later on someone else came around and put fresh flowers at each table! I cannot understand the low ratings for this place. I hope you get to try this place soon. I am a big fan of the Nation's at Westlake in Daly City. I suspect the company has changed hands or something. New Nation's are popping up all over the place, but the consistent quality I had experienced at the Daly City restaurant is not what I experienced at the new Pacifica restaurant. It seems they are spending a lot on packaging with the new boxes for the burgers and multiple bags for my take out order. The magic of Nation's is the generous dressing, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and meat patty. All fresh and made to order. The burger and fries are usually too hot to eat when you first get them cause they are right off the grill. I have been to this Pacifica Nation's 3 times and get the same cheeseburger order every time. The first time there was not enough dressing, the tomatoes were not ripe, the lettuce was sparse, but the worst part is the meat was undercooked. The second time I had all the same complaints except the burger patty was more than undercooked, it was raw. At this point , I thought the site is new and needs to get into their groove and have the new staff trained up. I waited a month, and went for my third visit. I told them to make sure the burger was well done, since it was dangerously undercooked previously. The person at the counter looked irritated with this comment. They tried to give me someone else's order by not calling the number but just waving me over. Finally they gave me the correct order. The fries and onion rings were cold. The burger was cooked but still pretty pink for something "well done". I am such a fan at Nation's, so I will try the one in Daly City again. The one in San Bruno is mediocre quality also. I do not think I am going to grace the new Pacifica or the San Bruno locations with my business anymore. read more

I had to tell the lady that I didn't receive the fries or bacon on my burger and they could care less so I asked for a refund just because it was the right thing to do not because the food was horrible but because I didn't get what I paid for I will never go back to this location I do love nations but the people that work there do not have good customer service and cannot get through it very well just the truth read more

Decided to try the new Nations at Linda Mar shopping center. Didn't go as I had hoped. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with mustard, grilled onion and pickle only. We waited 16 minutes for our dine in order to be called. The buns on my burger were ice cold, the onions were raw and it was smothered in mayo. It had been sitting under the warmer for some time. The food was awful. The fries were limp/soggy. The hamburgers were not even fast food quality. The buns were smashed and the meat tasted unseasoned and greasy. We both ended up throwing our food away which I have never done before. OMG! Fries were raw. Hot dog not cooked all the way through. I think Milkshake to them meant to put milk in and shake it because it was definitely missing ice cream.
