For this place, the cake was definitely my favorite. The staff at the front was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. I signed up for their membership and got a free appetizer -- I chose the chili cheese fries. Unfortunately, they didn't really impress me, but they were still okay to eat. I also tried the Wild Salmon Sandwich with American Cheese -- the flavor was fine while chewing, but it had a strong fishy smell that was a bit off-putting. The vanilla shake was average -- not bad, just nothing special. The lemon pie ended up being my favorite item overall. It had a lovely sweet and tangy balance that helped cut through the richness of the other dishes. The atmosphere during the day was pretty quiet, and the restroom was clean and usable. If you're looking for reasonably priced food that's decent, this place is worth a try.

I've been coming here to this location (and generally to Nations Giant Hamburgers) for over 25+ years. They always have the best taste and flavors of food and the staff here in San Pablo are so friendly. I love this location too since it's just down the street from my parents home, where I grew up. Its always a mixed crowd inside but always good. The dining room is spacious and kitchen large and busy. I've seen this evolve over time and it will always be my #1 go to whenever im back in the bay area.

    Burgers & Cars

We came here from out of town for the Cars & Burgers event. It didn't disappoint. The service was fast even though they were packed, my burger was delicious & the crowd was chill. Definitely recommend coming here for a delicious burger & with the cars it was even better.

If you want fresh you can't beat Nations. I just had this grilled chicken sandwich, it tasted fresh, and healthy. It was delicious as well. I also had me a strawberry pie, also very tasty and tastes very fresh. I recommend nations as a great alternative to highly processed food like McDonalds, burgers king or any of those fast food chains. Nations tastes like real food. The service is wonderful, the girl at the counter is very attentive and nice. The ambiance is also very good, feels like an old school dinner.

Breakfast is pitiful. Overcooked bacon, eggs with a slice of American cheese on top. I don't know if it's all nation's burger or just this one, but it was horrible. I'll never repeat.

I haven't had Nation's in YEARS..... we stopped by yesterday after visiting my Mom's friend who is staying at a rehab across the street. It was a nice treat after an emotionally charged visit. Nation's has always been known for it's burgers and desserts. In addition, they also serve breakfast 24-7. This location is conveniently located on San Pablo Dam Road and is very clean. Here's the deets: CUSTOMER SERVICE: Despite what I read in the reviews, customer service was on point from go! Carlos and Lilliana were super sweet and no matter how many times my Mom and I returned back to the counter to ask for additional items, they never seemed annoyed and were very patient and pleasant with us. PARKING: Enough inside the establishment. BATHROOMS: Super clean FOOD: Mom ordered the Cowboy burger which came with a big beef patty along with two (2) tiny crispy onion rings, bacon and cheese....condiments you must ask for. I ordered the Harvest burger because I am vegetarian. TBH, with all the "fixings" (which is how it comes served- with iceburg lettuce, tomato and raw white onion and house dressing) - it is tasty. Without it, it's kind of bland unless you sprinkle some salt on it. Fries were crispy and well seasoned. If you're in the area, I would patronize it again. And try dessert the next time.

Nation's pies are the best in town! First time trying the sweet potato pie. It wasn't bad...could be a little sweeter.

Parking can be a bit tricky as they don't have their own parking lot, so street parking only. Majority of seating is outdoors but shaded. They really put a lot of time and dedication to the ambiance. They do have a small parklet area if you want some more shelter. It's fast casual, so order at the window and they'll give you a buzzer that'll go off when your order is ready. I had the breakfast sandwich entree. As you can see, portion sizes are generous and the food did not disappoint! Breakfast sandwich was lightly toasted and the potatoes were well-seasoned. Customer service was a bit lacking. Had to go back to the window a couple of times to ask for stuff and felt bad having to bother them every time. Aside from that, great spot with plenty of seating for a brunch/lunch date.

I'm not sure if that's why our food took over an hour to come out, but it definitely made the wait even more frustrating People who sat down after us had already gotten their food, finished eating, and paid by the time we even received our meal. We drove 45 minutes each way to come here, so waiting over an hour for food with no explanation or real acknowledgment was super disappointing!!! What made it worse was that there was no concession or attempt to make up for the experience. When we finally paid and got up to leave, another server rushed over with the POS asking if we had paid. After everything, it just felt like one thing after another. The woman managing was very sweet, which I appreciated, but unfortunately the overall experience was just really poor and absolutely not worth the 90-minute round trip. Also the server who was stepping in to help in place of our original server kept apologizing and let us know the kitchen was slow. What am I supposed to do w that information. For reference we were originally at table 1 and were moved to table 16.
