I worked with Alan Moore who had great customer service UNTIL I signed and then absolutely no responses. No one ever told me how to contact the new moving company (I was turned over to two different entities), I had specifically said I needed my things delivered on a specific date and they tried to tell me that there was a delivery window (this was never mentioned. Half of my things were lost or broken, you will not have your claim looked at until 50-90 days so good luck sleeping without a bed and watching your shattered tv for 3 months! My move cost $2300 from the midwest to the east coast and I shipped a bed, mattress, couch, 55 inch tv, and a coffee table. DO NOT use this company it is a nightmare. read more

This company is absolutely the WORST. I called three weeks in advance to schedule my cross state move of about 7.5 hours. I sent them a video of my entire apartment being moved to a rental home and then 2 days prior to move sent another video of everything packed and ready which they greatly appreciated. I paid the deposit of $1200+ and was quoted for a very high amount. In my head I thought quality costs so I didn't question it. They were adamant that I should be ready to go early as they would arrived promptly at 8 AM on Saturday. I received no call or anything. I finally reached a driver at 10 AM and he told me "sorry previous job took longer I be there at noon, boss." I said previous job? You had a previous job before 8 am? He confirmed he did. Noon comes around still no sign of them so by 1 PM I called him and once again he says "I'll be there at 3 PM ON THE DOT." I was already getting frustrated because I had everything packed and wasn't going to arrive at new destination until well after midnight. Still no sign so he says "we will be there tomorrow (Sunday) at 8 AM ON THE DOT." Sunday was a carbon copy of Saturday. No show, would tell me they were on their way and would be there a few hours later and it just never happened. They claimed they would show up on Monday...I was already supposed to begin or for my new job Monday morning. So I had to make phone calls to supervisors I hadn't even started working for yet to explain my situation...on a weekend (you can imagine their displeasure). So I called a manager at nationwide and let them know the situation. They offered me a 5% discount. I told them that's hardly generous, but regardless still doesn't solve a problem that was created by them. The manager blamed it on the previous "job sites" stating the customers were dishonest and had way more to move than they had led on. The manager doubled down and said I've already given you a generous discount, you want me to just give it to you for free? And that set me off. I demanded a refund and they REFUSED. The person who booked my reservation and I quote "I will only get charged for the space used in the truck" when in fact that was a lie. Once the contract is written up you will 100% be charged for everything. You do not get charged for the "space taken up". They overpriced me and i was overcharged. Also, they blindsided me and you will not get your items the same day or even the same week. Expect to wait upwards to three weeks for your things. I connected with this company for a move from California to West Virginia of a two-bedroom home. Firstly, the initial conversations with Exclusive (aka, Nationwide) were great. The ability to get a quote was easy, as was scheduling. I was however not made aware that Nationwide was a broker and that's where things went very bad. The two men who came to collect our belongings looked shocked that we were moving a whole house. They did not come with tools to take apart furniture as Nationwide promised and instead used a lot of tape in an attempt to secure things like the furniture pads over large pieces. The pick-up was on a Sunday and they left our belongings in the driveway for several hours while I worked out the difference in cost with the dispatcher (yeah, it was drastically different than quoted), who wanted me to pay in cash (no way was I doing that; they ultimately took a check for the difference). As if all that wasn't infuriating enough, they did not keep in touch about the schedule, so I had no idea when our belongings would arrive. I reached out to Nationwide and was told the delivering company would be in touch (they were, sort of -- they called me several times and left maybe one message that I didn't check right away as I was in the midst of other things. When I answered, the dispatcher told me they were delivering the next day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with three people: the driver and two workers. The driver made it clear that he was only there to drive (he spent the 11 hours they were at our property in the truck). They arrived at 10 AM or so as we were the first stop. However, our belongings were all the way on the inside of the trailer, which did not have side doors. The worker (note the singular -- one worker left after seeing the scope of the job) put at least half of someone else's house on our lawn as he made a tunnel to get to our stuff. The local job leader came out with another worker, but he got them situated and left. So, there were two men to work out unloading all our stuff. In the meantime, I'm in conversation with the dispatcher; it's again a Sunday and they only take cash, Venmo, CashApp, money orders, cashier's check. I wasn't able to do any of those and hadn't been given enough notice ahead of time. In the end, I was able to pay the balance, which seemed the biggest issue for everyone. They used tape directly on my metal filing cabinets instead of covering them with furniture pads and now, on the other side, I'm having to invest in Goo Gone or something to clean them up. It seems that nearly every box marked 'fragile' was punted down the 50-yard line. We have broken items to content with, including my office desk. They lost my fiance's 6-foot ladder and made no comment. Now, I can't get answers to calls or emails to support about filing a claim. Did I mention that the pick-up driver shoved the paperwork for my signature under my nose when I was at the height of frustration after having already ticked the box for minimal claims coverage (which amounts to about 60 cents per pound or something)? Yeah, that. Now that it's all done, I can't get an answer from the Support email for Nationwide. The initial reply I received after asking about how to file a claim got me the email and phone number to the company that took the job (remember, Nationwide/Exclusive is a broker). I've gotten no answer to the emails I sent to the actual company. The phone number doesn't have voicemail set up. When I did get the dispatcher (who answered the phone with 'hello' and no company name), he said he was driving to his office and could I call him in an hour. I wasn't able to do that because of my work and haven't been able to get him since. At this point, I'm taking this as a big emotional loss. I am working with my homeowner's to try and get some recompence for the broken and missing items. Save yourself the headache and go with anyone else. Make sure they aren't a broker but the actual moving company. Get them to come out, look at your stuff, and give you an estimate (these folks did it all by phone and put 'box' instead of clearly identifying that we had wardrobe boxes, XL boxes, small boxes, etc.). read more

Part:1 My name is Nicole Bewley and I'm writing this email to report two companies for stealing my property from my storage unit. The companies I'm reporting are Nationwide Moving and Storage, & MC Movers. I relocated from the state of Kentucky, to the state of Georgia. I filed out inquiries online for long distant moving companies. I was contacted by Nationwide Moving and storage by text messages. I sent the representative photos of my storage unit's contents. I was quoted a $2,131 offer to move my things. On 02-25-2023, which is the night before my scheduled move; I was contacted by MC Movers  dispatcher and Truck Driver. I was very confused because I scheduled, signed documents, and paid to secure my move date with Nationwide Moving and Storage. I now know that Nationwide Moving and Storage is a brokerage and hires 3rd party freight companies. Nationwide Moving and Storage blatantly lied and secured my move through predatory business practices.I was told by MC Movers dispatcher and MC Movers truck driver that my quote will change, depending on the cubic square footage of my property. I notified both parties that my quote was based on photos provided. It wasn't an estimate because the square footage is confirmed. MC Movers truck driver told me that he need to see the items in person. He said that he can't use photos. The driver also stated that if agreed upon my property would be delivered with the property of others.The MC Movers truck driver and me agreed that I will allow him to look at my items in person, and if we couldn't agree on a price; he could just leave it. I responded to the driver" I was told at 11:46 am this morning, that my belongings were being left at my storage unit at 273 Ruccio way, Lexington Ky.... I have another company on the way to pick it up." THIS IS A BLATANT LIE THAT IS SIMPLY DISPROVEN. THE MESSAGES THAT I'VE ATTACHED SHOWS THE DISPATCHER GIVING ME QUOTES AT 11:30 AM. ONLY 16 MINUTES LATER AT 11:46 AM, IM SAYING I WANT A REFUND AND MY BELONGINGS LEFT. THE DISPATCHER RESPONDS AT 11:46 AM THAT SHE IS HAVING THE DRIVER LEAVE MY PROPERTY. This company is a scam, they are in constant communication with you until you pay their deposit. After that they disappear and do not call to confirm your move date or recap your inventory. My move was scheduled to happen yesterday. I have not heard from them and it is impossible to reach them. I had to go with a different company (PACK RAT) and emailed them to tell them I have cancelled due to their lack of communication and unprofessionalism. The Supervisor Ciera Cruse was very aggressive with me on the phone and spoke over me. She ended the call and followed up with an email to me telling me I will not get my $600 deposit back. When they priced it out they allocated just half a truck, so surprise, surprise the quote was incorrect. Thousands of dollars more on the day. The advantage for their scam was that they had us over a barrel by turning up a day late. We had no wiggle room, we had to be out of the house that day. I contracted with Nationwide Moving Services ("A company with five star reviews") to move my belongings from Oregon to Idaho. They then subcontracted Northwest Relocation without informing me. When NW Relocation delivered my property, I was horrified to see parts of my bedroom set strapped to the OUTSIDE of the truck and obviously destroyed. The movers carelessly and irreparably damaged my hardwood cherry estate bed and other family heirlooms. They crushed boxes marked fragile, and literally threw them off of the truck onto the ground with a complete disregard for the items contained within. They punched a hole in my living room wall which had just been professionally textured. I was advised by the movers that if I filed a claim with Anthem Claim Management that I would be reimbursed for all the damage to my property and our residence. I spent a considerable amount of time providing the data required for reimbursement. More than three months after submitting the claim, I was offered $132 to compensate for $6458 in damages. Both Nationwide and NW Relocation refused to apologize or make appropriate restitution for my loss. Nationwide Moving Services did, however, offer to pay me $500 provided I remained silent and didn't truthfully articulate my experience on any online review forums. I refused to take their "hush" money so others wouldn't be victimized by them the way that I was. To date I have received no money at all from either company.   Nationwide Moving Services brought to life my biggest fears about hiring a company to move my personal property. They are dishonest and irresponsible. Don't let my nightmare be yours. If I could leave zero stars I would. I only hope my review will help others avoid the cluster I dealt with today. I got an estimate from the company, provided them a thorough inventory list, checked the list with the rep (Mark) several times and all looked good. We didn't have a lot to add to the load. They charge by the cubic foot which is ok IF they would actually estimate by accurate cubic foot. It's their business, isn't it, to know how to estimate cubic feet? It's certainly not my area of expertise and it shouldn't have to be when you pay out the wazoo for moving services. On the day of the move, the movers come in and, low and behold, they estimate my cubic feet is more than twice what was on the estimate. Well, by this time, they've got you over a barrel and what can you do? I called my rep (Mark) and talked to a customer service manager but was told "your furniture must be larger than standard". Last I knew, a queen sized bed was a queen sized bed and medium boxes were medium boxes. What a crock!!! The onsite mover's updated estimate was $6,000 additional...yes additional. So...we had them load up the stuff they could in the truck sent and will have to move the rest of it ourselves. Still paying the whole amount they quoted because, well, it's non-refundable and we have to get it moved. They offered to move the additional stuff for a measly $4,200. I really do not know where to begin with this moving company. They have a good salesman, and that's about it. First of all, they are dishonest about pricing. After they take your money -- lots of it -- they move your belongings out of your house and store them in a warehouse in the same town (in my case, Chicago) until the company they hire to actually do the moving (Move and Go... or some such name ) can fill a truck with enough moves to justify their multi stops throughout the country. NOT ONCE DURING THE SALES PITCH was I made aware of this arrangement. I only came to find this out when I foolishly was expecting delivery of my belongs the next day. (This was a 5 hour trip down Highway 55 between Chicago and St Louis). Frantically thinking they had stolen or lost everything I owned, and after multiple calls to Nationwide, did they inform me that the responsibility for the move was no longer theirs. In other words, any liability was with the Move and Go guys. By day 25 I told them I had decided to hire a lawyer and to inform the police. The next day I was informed that my move would arrive in five days. I have not included in this review the dismal customer service, nor the damages to furniture, lost items, etc. Yes, I should have done more research; for example reading these reviews would have been very helpful. On our first call, we were told by the rep that we would be picked up on 12-6 or 12-7 and it would take 2 days to have our belongings moved into our new residence in TN... We moved from Florida to Iowa. Nationwide quoted with a price of $7,300. Before they got there it went up to $9,000. The day that Graebel Van Lines got there they said that it would be $15,700!!! We had no choice but to pay at that point. Our closing on the house was the next day. When we got to Iowa we found that many of our belongings never made it there. A lot of breakage and an awful mess. We will never move again but I do warn those that are to stay far away from this broker. read more

Like the other reviews on here, we too had an absolutely hellish experience with Nationwide and Nationwide's contracted moving company, Cobra Van Lines out of New Jersey. Our experience is a running joke among our close family and friends since it was truly out of a movie. We were hired Nationwide to move us from Washington, DC to Santa Monica, CA in mid-December 2021. Daniel from Nationwide assured us that his quote would be the most accurate of any other estimates we got. Honestly, even though he was dead wrong, he was the most pleasant person we interacted with. Yelpers- get an in-person quote! We would've gotten a more accurate quote had we done that. On moving day, 3 guys from Cobra Van Lines showed up in a huge Budget truck with bright red eyes and huge lines under their eyes. They told me they HADN'T SLEPT the night before since they had been working so late the day before, and then had to leave the warehouse in NEW JERSEY to meet us at 8 am for our move-out in DC. 1) Why did Nationwide connect us with a NJ-local company???? 2) Why were my movers required to work late and then leave at 3 am for another move??? There must be a labor law (and safety) violation here... Our poor movers were trying their best, but of course, they were not in the best physical shape that day. Our 2 bedroom move (1500 sq ft, 95% of things were boxed) an NINE HOUR ordeal. Y'all... 9 hours... an entire work day. As they packed our apartment, they demanded $4800 EXTRA (after already paying $4800, and needing to pay $5000 once in CA) in cash to finish the move since the estimate we received from Nationwide was off by about a factor of two. I had to VENMO some random person at Cobra Van Lines in order for them to keep going... at that point, I should have had them empty the truck and figured something else out last minute. But I didn't, and the hell was only getting started. Once we were out of my apartment, they had to drive back to NEW JERSEY (again, why were we connected with a company in the opposite direction of our route to CA) to put our things in a warehouse. That warehouse ended up being the home of all of our possessions for SIX WEEKS. Cobra Van Lines did absolutely nothing to communicate proactively about timelines/expectations, and when we called, not only were the customer service representatives not helpful, they were rude. They sounded like kids in college with zero responsibility or care for their customers. We ended up calling every other day to ask whether our stuff had left the warehouse, and every time we were met with "sorry, your driver hasn't been dispatched." Their lack of communication, general ineptitude, and dishonesty ended up causing us 7 weeks of discomfort and uncertainty. We had to rent furniture for two months, costing us over $4000. All said and done, the move was over $10,000 more than we anticipated, which could have been avoided if the estimate was accurate and Cobra was an honest company. Nationwide, I hope you re-assess your contract with Cobra after looking at these reviews. We trusted with our move, and we're in debt because of it. read more

First and foremost this company is a BROKER and NOT a true moving company. Secondly, If you are reading this - RUN FAR AWAY. They own no trucks, storage facility, or anything. Their website is "down for maintenance" which makes it hard to obtain this information and their name is a play on different companies that are similar. They DO NOT have a UDOT# which is what you need to move freight in the USA. From my own experience: They do not disclose any of the above when trying to sign a contract with you and talk about the availability of trucks and all sorts of this and that. It makes you feel like you are talking to a legit company. This is a scam. They are basically using a bidding site with transporters who are going to take a cut of the estimate. I'm sure because they never outright say anything about their status that this is a grey area of something being legal/illegal. The actual person transporting your stuff is likely going to have several fees that they add on that were not discussed in your estimate to increase their own cut and this is where you will lose even more money. Further, Nationwide calculates in cubic feet which from what I have learned over the last month IS NOT the way moving should be done and is predatory (trust companies that use weight, not dimension). We realized this too late and were stuck with them because we paid a deposit. A lot of moving is done through brokers but beware many are predatory and if you can find a direct shipper this is your best bet. If you use a broker, make them guarantee you a mover in 24 hours, provide no deposit, and make them stick to giving your the movers information before you turn over any money. Otherwise take your business elsewhere. We shipped our car separate (Thank God) and put this type of pressure on 3 brokers. The car was shipped within 24 hours and made it to our destination one day in advance $300 below our estimate. You have to play the bad guy or you will be scammed. As for our home moving experience: This has been a nightmare and while I blame the transporter I also blame Nationwide for setting us up with this predatory company for a quick buck. The company they initially brokered was changed the day of our pickup without notice. They sent our final estimate 24 hours before our item pickup on 06/30 with a shipping company that had great reviews. The day of our move an entirely different company with horrible reviews showed up paperwork in hand --- 4 hours late. We knew we were over on items and expected to pay more; however, they have tapped on things like "long carry fees" because they parked on the wrong side of our apartment. Additionally, they did not take all of our items the same day and made us wait 24 hours to collect the rest (after collecting additional payment of course). Currently, my items are sitting in San Tan Valley, AZ (at a third party storage facility that I did not request) while I sit in an empty apartment in upstate Ohio. San Tan Valley is 40 minutes SOUTH of Phoenix (my starting location) and roughly 100 extra miles out of the way from my destination across the country. My items were promised delivery on 07/09 and have not moved a single inch since pickup. The transporter is dodgy and said they had a 38 truck fleet but suddenly doesn't know how they are going to move my things because they are "so busy." I'm sure this transporter bid lower and got the job at the last second - Nationwide didn't care because it made them a few hundred extra bucks. These are the type of people Nationwide will broker your things to. When you complain the supervisor will be "out of the office." Do not trust these people and if you have signed a contract and made a large deposit make sure you force them to give you appropriate service. Make sure your estimate is accurate and you know exactly how much stuff you have. Place AirTags in your packed boxes to track them. Ring their phones nonstop until they get sick of hearing from you - they deserve the inconvenience for what you are going to go through. read more

I wish I had done move research on Nationwide Moving and Storage, we were pushed into signing with them but assured if we wanted to cancel before the move we had lots of time. we were also assured by the representative that even through we were signing a contract we would get a full refund if the move changed. well it did and we lost our deposit $1700 and they still tried to stop us from cancelling. This company is a scam stay away at all costs. We are now renting a uhaul and its going to save us some money but we will be doing all the work. We were robbed of our money and possessions thanks to the subcontractor they hired. And the stuff we DID get back is completely destroyed. And Nationwide Moving and Storage claims it's not their fault they brokered us to this Tacoma movers inc. and our newest egg is in ruins. They did this to a disabled man and his pregnant wife. We moved so we could get my husband organs... Three years on dialysis... Not even kidding this is the worst company ever. They don't care about anyone. They don't care they are a scam. They were 3 days late picking up our things. Had to deal with 4 different people. One driver was extremely rude and yelled at my wife numerous times over the phone. Then they were 2 days late dripping off our things. 2 antique tables were broken. We were strong armed into paying a $1,000 over the original contract or they were not going to drop off our things. This company preys on your need to hire movers. I have had "thee" worst experience with them. First, they were very eager to help and provide discounts and offer assistance. Once they hook you with all the nice talking, courtesy and manners, they hit you with the two-piece finisher. My move date was moved up 7 days and no one bothered to call, text, or send a smoke signal. Then when the movers got there, they tried to tell me that I was over on my cubic feet by almost 200 cubic feet. Then they doubled the price on delivery. I cancelled my transaction right there. I called the customer service number and they apologized but did nothing. I called back and the same thing. I then decided to email that person who I signed my contract with and what do you know, someone who was not the person I emailed, emailed me back with more apologies. That is when I started to get really upset, not because they were polite and apologetic, but because they are telling me that I am not entitled to a refund at all. I had passed the point where I could get a full refund, 3 days after signing the contract. After some back and forth (I am not Aaliyah) I appealed to their business and legal nature. Most people do not get a refund, but I did. It was a partial refund, but I got it. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY, OR ANY MOVING COMPANY THAT CONTRACTS OUT THEIR MOVERS. Nationwide/National Moving Services is a broker not a moving company. They contract your move out to an actual moving company. They give a quote, require 20% deposit with only 72 hours to cancel or they keep your deposit. The movers require 70% of remaining balance at loading which is now A LOT more money than National quoted. At delivery only one man, the driver arrived to unload our furniture. A family member had to help the "mover" unload our furniture and boxes. He didn't put our bed back together either. Unbelievable! I will never, ever use this company again!! read more

OMG! This company seems to take pleasure in screwing people over. They will quote you a reasonable price initially, request a down payment and once you sign the contract then everything changes. The initial price for a 4 bedroom townhouse move was $2500. That is inline with most moving companies. A day before the big move, they called and asked if there were any additional boxes. When I told them yes, about 7 additional boxes, the price doubled to $5000. On the day of the move, a mover noticed that we had a Pelton bike and a treadmill and they added an additional $2000. The final cost went from $2500 to $7000. Once you sign the contract, you won't get any of your money back. So they have you between a rock and a hard place. Also, they broke a one year old tv that cost $1200 and would only give us $500 for it. Don't use Nationwide moving company. read more

Worst service ever!!!! If you value your belongings for the love of god do not sign with this company. They let all of our stuff sit out in the poring rain before they loaded it in the truck. When it arrived at our destination more than a month later, all of our belongings were wet and or molding. Then they wouldn't start unloading the truck into our storage unit until we paid in full. The amount they wanted was 4x what we were quoted. Also, we were supposed to get two eeeks notice before our stuff arrived, but they called us the day before. Don't make the same mistake as us. They deserve negative stars. All of the negative reviews are true and I REALLY regret not reading them until after my move was complete. I found them through googling best moving companies, and for some reason they were the top rated. I definitely should have checked Yelp. Anyway, the salesperson rushed me to make a decision saying he would only hold the truck for a half hour while I shopped around (it was the first place I called). So, he quoted me around $1,900 to move my bed, dresser, tower garden, and some boxes (none were even large) from SF to Orange County. I thought it was high, but agreed to it because they said it included everything from fuel to taking down and setting up and that I would get a 10 foot truck for this move. He stays on the phone while you sign so you can't read anything you're signing and now that I try and click the contract link again, it won't let me view it. No copy was sent to me. Anyway, movers came in a huge white truck with a truck that had painted over another big moving company. I was so confused because: they did not tell me there would be a 3rd party moving my things. I was expecting a Nationwide truck, the truck was not 10 feet so I didn't trust how they were charging me, and the worst part is that the person managing my contract spoke only Spanish! So I signed the million-paged contract which was SO confusing and he couldn't explain any of it to me. He told me the price was $967 so I wrote them a check for that as I had paid Nationwide what I thought was the other half. I did add some items that weren't on the original list, but he said they'd just charge by the cubic feet. I was under the impression that I would be able to move whatever I wanted in a 10 foot truck--not be charged for every little thing. Regardless, I was okay with it and the price. So because the guy couldn't explain in English anything, I said I would call the salesperson who sold me the package. Well, he did not answer my call or voicemail ever. I emailed and texted him throughout this whole process and he never replied to anything. When I called the regular customer support while trying to fill out my paperwork, I was put on a hold with music for at least an hour and then it just went dead. At that point, he just wanted me to sign it and he kept saying it was $967 so I was okay with that cost. After I paid him and they left, I didn't hear from them again thinking my stuff should have arrived by the next day or so. Well, called customer service and they told me they had 10 days to deliver my things! This was NEVER mentioned to me in the sales pitch. There were many things I needed right away like my bed. I had to sleep on the couch for days. No estimate on when they could come and the customer service lady hung up on me and had a ton of attitude. She also told me that I had to pay an additional $967 on delivery due to the things I added on and if I didn't agree, they wouldn't deliver! The things I added on were just extra boxes and not even that many. When I asked if I could talk to the guy who sold it to me, she said I couldn't because he did his part. Ridiculous. They called me one night I was in the hospital (not home) and asked if they could come in an hour or so. Uhh..no. They were supposed to give me warning. I convinced them to do the next day even though they barely gave me any notice. I asked if they could do the following day since it was not 24 hour notice and they said I would have to pay another $500. So I finally convinced my parents to make it work and they delivered. Fast forward to when I finally come home from the hospital...a bunch of my things are missing. Big things like my TWO hydroponic tower gardens, the tomato cages for them, my expensive Dyson air purifier, my artificial Christmas tree, all of my curtain rods, the seat to my spin bike (yup, just the seat)...and that is all I have noticed so far. Thank gosh I moved some stuff myself. One picture frame was broken because they taped two things together back to back on it. I texted the guy who delivered my stuff and he was trembling in his boots begging me to not tell the company and that he would go get it the next time he was at the storage unit. He was scared to get in to trouble. At first, I went along with this because I hadn't discovered all these missing things (thought it was just the tree and gardens at first). He claimed he knew where they were and could bring them the following week (mind you, it is Christmas week). He never did and I never heard from him once I told him I was missing more things. Because of that, I reported it to the company. Apparently they don't even deal with this either! It is a whole other company. This company is also awful to work with. They make you go through tons of hoops to even report it. Well, looking at my receipt, the guy didn't even list all of the items so now I am not even sure what to do. We hired Nationwide to move us from California to Florida. We were given a quote for the move, and we agreed gave out credit card to them. Then we had to add more items we forgot. Ciera kept telling us the charge is for square foot not how many items or by weight. When all was said and done, we were changed a lot of money more than $15,000. Which in hindsight we should have gotten more estimates from other movers but did not. Then we were told that the actual movers are not Nationwide but subcontracted to A and L moving and storage from Sacramento. We had to pay them half when they picked up our inventory and pay the rest when the movers arrived at our new home in Florida. Like in other reviews only cash, wire transfer was accepted, or our belongings were not going to be delivered. Fine we were able to do a wire transfer on the road. But since we were not in Florida at the time of delivery, we couldn't check everything. A and L did a nice job it seemed packing our belonging in three different box trucks. Jose from A and L said his crew was going to drive straight through to FL. We were driving cross country with our pet so we could not be here for the delivery. My brother was here to take possession. The movers unloaded our items in the house. We w arrived 4 days later we were able to inventory and found so much damage to some of our belongings. I contacted Jose from A and L and he was no help said I had to contact Nationwide. I called and spoke with David, and he was sorry and said he would send my email about the damage to his supervisors. I called left messages. I emailed Nationwide support. I received no response from anyone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR THE SUB CONTRACTOR. THIS IS A SCAM SERVICE. they upcharge you by $3,000-$5,000 on day of move-in so you have no option but to accept their terms. They also broke 7-8 items and damaged the building upon move-in so I lost my security deposit on top of that. This company left my son without help the day before they were supposed to move him across county. They called the day before they were supposed to pick up the stuff and said the truck broke down. However, for an additional $1500 they would reroute another truck. Really? They should have lived up to their end of the contract and done what they could to move him. So frustrating that you can make arrangements so far in advance and then the night before they want more $$. Please don't use this company, they also broker out their movers, you won't have access to whoever is moving your stuff.
