The staff here is wonderful! You can tell they all get along and work together . I believe almost everyone in that office did something to help me breeze through the whole process. Jennav was amazing and extremely patient with me , she helped me pick frames and went over pricing. the young man who was doing the testing answered all my questions and even read my current glasses to tell me what I had on them. And the lady in front I believe her name was Ashton was so pleasant. Turns out I didn't have vision insurance and she made it work and got me a good deal and didn't embarrass me. Need more staff!! I had glasses ready for a month and they only called once (I thought it was about my son's glasses). They should have tried again. Now I'm in a big hurry and just wanted to grab my glasses. Called on the way and it keep saying voicemail is full. Now, I'm at the store. it's been 15 minutes and I'm still in line with no one at the front desk. The nice lady adjusting glasses helped me but u could tell they had her there by herself. If Nationwide can't figure out how to be more respectful of people's time, I'll find a new provider! Now I'm late for my next appointment... This place is great. The Dr is Phenomenal, Staff is nice and very informative. Not sure why the bad reviews. The new staff is Very transparent with sales , you always see what you're getting with receipts unlike before with the old manager Stacy. Alot of the reviews are about Your glasses or contacts taking long but that has nothing to do with staffing the office but the place that makes them is the issue if that's the case. Front desk girls were nice the opticians were friendly and patient and even had help picking frames when I asked for opinions. I had to reschedule my appointments because the agreed upon time was not what they scheduled for me. that all together took three phone calls. I went to the appointment and wasn't sure about the service. kind of sloppy. when I went to pick up my glasses the sun glasses were not the frames that I ordered. the tech told me that if I had chosen those sun glasses they would not come out as dark as I saw on the glasses in the store because my rx would not work with that lense. I proceded to tell him these were not the grams that I ordered, he told me that it couldn't be a typo since the numbers were so different. I proceeded to tell him that those were the glasses that I brought up to the counter when placing my order and I had nothing to do with the id number. he proceeded to put the blame on me for not checking the item number like I had control of the computer. after a few minutes I just threw up my hands took the glasses that I didn't order and walked out of the store. When I used to go there the service with excellent the manager, Stacy, was amazing however, I called to make an appointment the girl asked me not once not twice but seven times what my name was ...I got so frustrated I asked to speak to someone else, finally got my appointment..well big mistake..they got me in got my glasses and contact lenses prescription, well they had to special order, after waiting and waiting I called and got "oh yeah they are here" I rushed down the guy handed them to me to try on..I said can I get a contact holder, he said NO management won't allow it..really? Before it was bought out the management made sure you got a holder they were probably $1 00 if that. I had an appointment for my son that took a few hours with no one in waiting room ahead of us. Maybe it was a fluke that it took so long. (Not dilated) (he tried selling us glasses that my son "could " wear but didn't need to)so I brought my daughters in a there was 1 person in waiting room ahead of us and it was over 2 hours until one of them was seen and that's after I walked out. I don't know what this doctor they have now does between patients but it's not working. Because it's not stellar customer service slowing this guy down. Dr James Francois at 9069 W. Olive Suite 112 Peoria AZ 85345, is the worst eye doctor I have ever been to. I have never had an eye dr tell me during the eye exam that I was giving him the wrong answers and to stop changing my mind. First he says I'm not blinking enough, then he tells me that I'm blinking too much and to stop it. He never asked to dilate my eyes either. Then to test my up close sight for my bifocals, he made the comment that I hope you'll give the right answers or your wasting my time. Then he just walked out of the room and I figured I should follow, he threw down my folder on the reception desk and told one the ladies up front that they will have fun with me since I can't give the right answer and make up my mind. WOW!! I have never had such an uncomfortable eye appointment in my life. I have had yearly eye exams since my 1st pair of glasses in 2nd grade. I know how to do them and no one should be treated that way, ever by a so called professional. I did order glasses, which was a huge mistake. I picked them up today and the RX is way off. I feel like I'm looking through a fishbowl. I can't see anything with them on. What did he do, write random numbers on my RX??? What a waste of my money and time!. I went here at the beginning of the year. I know for a fact that this location is not unusual in the inability to get a scrip right for glasses. I have been to several. Sadly, Nationwide is what my insurance covers. This year, I have had THREE pairs of glasses from these idiots. All three have been WRONG. I don't drive at night anymore because I can't see now. My glasses are that bad. I sometimes use my 5 year old Walmart glasses, because as old as they are, they are still better than my brand new ones from these idiots. I went to Nationwide for my glasses because they are the only place my insurance works with. They have the worst customer service imaginable. Maybe it's because you have no choice but to use them. I should have expected this. When I called to make an appointment, i got a recording telling me to leave a voice mail. After repeated calls, i was finally able to get an appointment. I went in, got my exam, and chose a pair of glasses. I was told i would have them in 7 to 10 business days. 10 business days came and went, and there were no glasses. I started calling to see where my glasses were. I called literally dozens of times, always getting a recording telling me to leave my name and number, and they would return my call. I left three voice mails and did not get a call back over the course of three business days. Today.i finally got a live person to answer the phone. She informed me it had only been 12 business days, and it could take up to fifteen. She said she would check to see if they were in. She asked me to hold. When she came back, she said they were not in and asked me to hold yet again while she checked with the lab. When she came back on the phone, she told me my frames were still on backorder??? I asked what happened to the frames i tried on, and she said they don't usually use those??? She asked me to hold again while she checked to see if those frames were still there. She came back and said they were, and she would send them out to be made. It has been 18 days since my eye exam. 12 business days, and my glasses have not even been started. Had an eye exam and a couple of pairs of glasses ordered from this location. The exam was thorough and professional. However, my problem was with the staff. You would think after spending almost $500, you'd be afforded good service. Apparently, this chain has scraped the bottom of the barrel when it comes to their non-medical staff. When I called to find out if my glasses were ready, the young lady I spoke to left me on hold for 25 minutes. I hung up the phone and called back. No apology, just was told by one of her fellow workers that she was scatterbrained because she was pregnant. WTF?? The saving grace was the assistant manager (Stacy). I was pretty ticked when I showed up. She took control, fitted my glasses (two pairs) and wouldn't allow me to leave the store until my glasses were cleaned and I was satisfied that they fit perfectly. Kudos to this young lady . Would I return? Hmm... Only if I can get service from this assistant manager. read more

The doctor there doesn't have customer service skills or understand how to talk with patients. I went there for an exam and he had me look through two lenses, never asked me how I could see the letter, after the 15 seconds of the two lenses he told me my prescription was going to stay the same. Never looked into whether my vision has gotten any better or worse and didn't take the time to seem to care. I did complain to the manager Rachel who was wonderful in understanding and didn't charge me for the visit. I did make it clear I would not return to their vision centers with doctors of that knowledge. I have used them for two years previous and will no longer go there. read more

These guys had me come in and fill out paperwork a few days before my scheduled appointment. So I did to speed up the process due to this covids BS. Appointment was at 930, by 10 they where not able to find my paperwork still. Personally I don't do business with people/company's that have a big brown movers box full of their customers information underneath their desk. Maybe this is an Arizona thing but the professional level was horrible and embarrassing to say the least. I'm from Las Vegas and never as a new customer have I had my paperwork filed in a big box with other peoples paperwork. It's Just trashy and ugly. I hope y'all get it together. Went in to check prices with my insurance vs. in-store specials. Was directed to an associate named Darlene. She did not greet, asked what I wanted, sat down at the computer, and didn't even offer me a seat. After banging on the keyboard wanted to know what insurance I had and told her VSP Standard. Difficult, huh? Told her it was military retiree insurance, she banged some more on the keyboard. With a tone in her voice she told me she would have to start with United... Scheduled an appt for 8am this morning and after reading previous reviews I was wishing I hadn't. I was greeted by the front desk lady and within 10 min of being there was called in to do my exam. Met with my optometrist and was very polite and very informative. Then after my exam I was greeted by Shannon who helped me pick out a couple pairs of glasses that fit well and were very stylish. Overall my experience was very good and I was very please with the service and pricing of my glasses. I would give a 5 star but I still have to wait to get my glasses on and make sure everything is all good. So to be continued......... read more

How should I word this? They SUCK. I've never been to a place with such horrible customer service. I wish I had read the reviews before going in to this place. So the first time I went in they had me waiting for an hour before I was seen for my eye appointment (and I did make an appointment) after waiting they finally saw me and I ended up spending 3 hours there. They gave me trial contacts and I had to make a follow up appointment before I got my prescription. I finally had my my follow up appointment a month later, and the doctor was pissed because it wasn't two weeks later. He told me, "You're lucky I'm not putting you down as a non-compliant customer". Then I asked for my prescription and he flipped out, he said, "I GAVE YOU ONE LAST TIME!" I had never seen this doctor before in my life. Then he looked at my history and was like "oh you saw so and so" but he didn't apologize for yelling at me. Yes, he yelled at me. Now it's about 1 month later since that appointment, and no I still don't have my contacts, and no they haven't called me about them coming in, but yes I did pay $100 on my first visit. So I called them today, and what do you know my contacts are in and NO they have yet to call me and let me know. I've never disliked a business so much as this one. After I got my perscription I went and bought 2 pairs of glasses on Coastal.com for $150 SOOO worth it, and I'm making payments. After I get my contacts I will never be going to nationwide again. It makes me so mad just talking about this place. I'm 18 and they took advantage of my naivety. All three times I went there I left in tears because I had a horrible experience. They steal your money and have horrible customer service. I hope I could spare someone the time and money from not going there.
