Dr. Cohen has always been very thorough, knowledgable, professional and empathic. Dr. Cohen is truly an exceptional and approachable Optometrist who I have over the years referred people to him. As a retired Nurse Consultant and Patient Advocate I am very particular who cares for me and Dr. Cohen is Tops in my opinion of Optometrists. It was easy to schedule my appointment. Dr. Farnsworth was very attentive and I could tell she really wanted to get me the right prescription. We tried a couple different trials before landing on a comfortable pair. She was also very patient with me when I had to have my baby with me in the office and I appreciated that a lot. I was a bit disappointed that I called in advance and asked if they accepted my insurance. They said no, but that they could offer a reimbursement form and most insurances provide full reimbursement. Given their great reviews, I decided it would be worth the paperwork. Unfortunately my insurance only paid a very small fraction so I had to pay about $200 out of pocket just for the exam. I decided to buy my contacts elsewhere because they were priced pretty high too. Their frame selection looked really nice, but I was too worried about the cost to even consider. read more

I love this office. Dr. Cohen and staff are very nice. Dr. Cohen is a wonderful optometrist who explains your eye conditions and course of action and solutions. The staff is lovely: the front office, the techs that take you back to the examination rooms, and the optician who orders your new lenses. BEST customer service I have EVER received in my life with Doctor My Eyes/Stephen Cohen, OD and Amanda Goldberg, OD and Bausch + Lomb! Me being the irresponsible adult, waited until I was out of contacts to go to my appointment to get more. They didn't have trials of my astigmatism contacts I use but they had the regular ones which can hold me over. Dr. Goldberg said they typically come in fast so after a week, I called and asked where they were because I didn't get them yet. They were on backorder and she (will not name who I spoke with on the phone) said let me call and see for how long, it's not usually long. Turns out it IS long and they wouldn't be in until November 17th so she directly called the manufacturer (Bausch + Lomb) and they said they can overnight them for $13. So I paid the $13. Well that was on Friday so I expected them Monday. Didn't get them but thought... maybe because I called them later in the day on Friday, they probably won't be here until Tuesday. Tuesday goes by, NO CONTACTS. So first thing this morning I call the eye doctor and she tells me the FedEx tracking is saying it was delivered......... I BLEW UP. I would know if the contacts were delivered. I work from home and see FedEx pass me everyday. We have a camera that would go off if something was delivered. She basically tells me it is out of the eye doctor offices hands now and I need to deal with FedEx. All I can think is "I just want to see!!" The lady tells me "well you can order more but it'll cost you". Immediate thought was I AM NEVER GIVING MY MONEY TO THIS OFFICE AGAIN. I call FedEx and they tell me they will contact the driver and he SHOULD get back to me by the end of the day, 5pm. I said "so I will sit her blind until I hear back from you at MAYBE 5pm!?" He said he made note that this was urgent... Mind you my thinking is, I'm working from home today and will flag down that driver myself when I see him. I get this text from the doctor's office and I honestly started tearing up.... My office and Bausch and Lomb are splitting the cost of my two 90pk contacts and overnight shipping. IF THAT ISN'T THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN, IDK WHAT IS. P.S. I'm highly considering lasik after this experience and I am still going to fight FedEx for the original contacts so I can give them back to the office for so generously giving to me read more

I saw Dr. Cohen today as a new patient. Everything and everyone was professional and very friendly. My exam answered all my questions and Dr. Cohen even suggested continuing to use my current glasses as my vision had not really changed since my last visit to another provider. I went to Costco about a year ago and didn't feel that visit met my vision needs. I had read about Doctor My Eyes. I am from Ohio and had been in Scottsdale for one day when I woke up to a very swollen and red eye. I did an online search hoping to find an eye doctor who had an emergency number. It was a Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. when I found Dr. My Eyes on the internet. I called the emergency number and left a message. Dr. Cohen called me a few minutes later and met me in his office by 8:30 a.m.!!! Dr. Cohen was absolutely wonderful, caring and concerned. He prescribed medications and called me the following morning. When Dr. Cohen saw that my issues required an ophthalmologist, Dr. Cohen made sure that I got in to see an ophthalmologist on the same day. Dr. Cohen is amazing. I scratched my cornea (that was officially diagnosed later) late Saturday evening, which is the worst time to do it because your options are pretty much go to the hospital or suffer and worry until Monday. I accidentally found Dr. Cohen after trying to contact offices that took emergency calls. Dr. Cohen was incredibly kind, especially since he'd never met me nor did he have any of my insurance information. He asked me about symptoms and coached me through how to care for my eye. He even offered to open up his office for me and stuck around during the day in case it became necessary, answering my call again later when I become concerned about my progress. I went in to see him on Monday and he again showed great care and was very willing to answer questions and explain diagnosis and treatment to me. He didn't rush at all and made sure to see me back to the front desk after stopping for some samples for me. I've since been in again for my yearly eye exam (yes - I immediately made him my new optometrist)band was impressed yet again. Dr. Cohen is one of the top two doctors I've experienced both in Illinois (incl. Chicago) and Arizona. Couldn't recommend him more! His staff was also great - even called and made an appointment for me with a doctor at another office when I needed to see a specialist. read more

We moved to Mesa and needed a new Optometrist. I choose Dr. My Eyes based on all the 5 star reviews and decided it would be worth the drive to Scottsdale and it was! We walked into the office and it was warm and inviting with a welcoming staff. No hustle and bustle here. DR. COHEN in my opinion is the best Optometrist I have seen. He is caring, knowledgeable, patient, answers all questions and has the latest technology. Joe fitted me for frames that really improved how I looked in glasses. My husband and I just saw Dr. Amanda Goldberg for what should have been an annual exam (it just took us 4 years to do it). I can't begin to describe the phenomenal experience we had from the moment we walked in the door. Everyone from the receptionist to the eye technicians were friendly and very professional. The equipment contained with the office was top notch and put to shame the equipment used by a office in northern Nevada that we used 4 years ago. Dr. Goldberg was excellent at explaining everything in an easy to understand fashion. She really gave both of us quite an education on the health of our eyes. Been a patient of Dr. Cohen's for many years now and he is one of the best doctors I've ever seen, and I've seen enough doctors to satisfy a family of 5 and all their neighbors! He actually is the kind of doctor you thought doctors were supposed to be when you were growing up. Great bedside manner, caring, knowledgeable, and responsive. If you have a problem and need to speak to him - he WILL call you back! Unheard of these days - seriously. His office location is convenient and exceptionally well decorated and clean, sometimes he even gives away samples (like eyeglass cases). His entire staff is full of nice people, probably because he hired people he know would take good care of his patients. Overall I absolutely recommend this place. A glance at some of my other reviews of medical places will show I run in to a lot of bad places and bad doctors. Way too many out there people! I have some high standards - no apologies. I speak up when places are really good and really bad - just to help out my fellow Yelpers. Dr. Cohen is one of the best. read more

We have been going to Stephen Cohen since my daughter was an infant. She takes part in his infant program and we are so blessed to have found Dr. Cohen. My daughter was diagnosed with an eye condition by another eye doctor in the area. We went to Stephen to get a second opinion and haven't looked back. He is so incredibly thorough and knowledgable, I can't imagine there is any better eye doctor in AZ. He knows how to relate to kids and makes my 3 year old feel like it is fun to go to the eye doctor. They run a variety of tests to determine eye sight and use a few different instruments and equipment. It's all state of the art! I am very detail oriented and ask a lot of questions, Stephen has all the patience in the world and can explain pros and cons of treatment options, future condition risks, and red flag signs to keep an eye out for. His staff is incredibly professional and friendly. The wait is short and service is top notch. We love going to eye appointments now! read more

Dr Cohen has been in private practice in Scottsdale since 1985. He is a past recipient of the Arizona Optometrist of the Year Award, as well as the Great Western Council of Optometry OD of the Year (covering the 11 western states). He was also awarded the "Father of the Year" award by the American Diabetes Association and the Arizona Father's Day Council. Dr. Cohen is a past-president of the Arizona Optometric Association, as well as the Scottsdale-North Rotary Club, and the Desert Foothills Theater (where he also starred in more than 15 theater productions). Dr. Cohen's favorite part of being in practice are the relationships he has built up with his patients over the years. On a recent visit, I popped in to see if I could find some new glasses or goggles with my prescription to be used for pickleball. While I didn't find anything too sporty, I did end up purchasing a new pair of glasses and sunglasses with Amanda's help. She was a joy to work with and I cannot wait to get my new glasses when they are ready soon. Thanks again to the doctors and entire staff at EPS for meeting all of my eyecare needs!
