We rented from Native in Salt Lake City and James was an absolutely amazing guy to work with. He went out of his way to get us in a van, to make sure the van was right for us, and to get us on the road on schedule. He made the drop off go super fast and easy, as we were late to catch a flight. The van itself was AMAZING. Clean, outfitted, comfortable, stylish... we didn't want to return it. :) We actually over-packed for the trip because the van was so well outfitted. It includes all the dishes (plates, bowls, mugs, wine cups), cookware (big pot, skillet, and coffee percolator/water boiling pot), and utensils (forks, spoons, knifes, sharp knife set, spatula, serving spoon, wine/bottle opener, and probably more that we're forgetting) that we needed. It came with a lighter, salt and pepper, hand sanitizer, tissues, paper towels, a hand towel, blanket and pillows, a bluetooth speaker... we literally just had to buy groceries and hit the road. The van has 7 gallons of clean water, with a sink and running tap. The dirty water drains into another 7 gallon tank and is easy to empty. The two burner stove is equipped with a good supply of propane, which lasted our whole trip with plenty leftover. The van had a fridge, which easily help plenty of food and beer. It also has lights above the bed, and along the floor and above the sink in the kitchen. On cloudy days, the lights came in very handy, and they were great for bedtime reading and nights at the campsites. They dim, too, so makes for nice "mood lighting". A fan in the ceiling helps move the air in the warmer part of the day and while cooking, and also keeps the van comfortable on a warmer night. There are two camp chairs and a camp table folded up and stored in the back. The storage area in the rear of the van is huge and we came nowhere near filling it with two suitcases, two backpacks, a camera case, and a big duffel bag. The power supply was extremely helpful, powered by the sun and some engine power from driving around. It has two regular plug / outlets and a USB port. There is also an extra 12V plug. We never ran low on power, and managed to charge cameras, phones, watches, and an iPad over an 8 day trip. The van drives like a new van (it was a 2018, Biggie + named Vanis Joplin, with 20k+ miles). It was clear that the vans are well taken care of, cleaned, and maintained. The cab is well equipped with USB charging ports, storage nooks, and a radio and navigation system. The bed was super comfortable, and James went out of his way to help with allergen free bedding for my high maintenance allergies. We had a fantastic trip visiting Yellowstone and Grand Tetons - through rain, cold, warm, sun, and even some hail and thunder - the van gave us a comfortable place to hide from rain and to sleep at night, and was perfect for roadside coffee and lunches. We cannot wait to rent from Native again, and would absolutely recommend that anyone give them a try. Dillon and Jon, y'all were the dot's on the exclamation point to our Colorado adventures! Exceptional customer service, seamless transactions, welcoming smiles, informative on where to get lost, hands down THE best vacation with my man ever! I didn't want to return my camper van. I wanted to keep on riding shotgun into the sunset. WOW, what a trip! My man and I rented the 'smalls'. He is a tall fella so when we first sat down in the back of 'Tim-The Tool Van' to soak it all in, I busted out in laughter. I knew this was going to be home for the next week and that made me a very happy lady. It was comfortable at every point in our trip, super simple to change from chillaxing with the table to getting horizontal to snooze. The little kitchen is quite possibly genius in design. I highly recommend anyone venturing to Colorado and in need of accommodations to rent from Native Campervans. The design of our van was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Our intention was to have no intentions. The only plans that we made prior to departure were the purchase of plane tickets and the rental of the van. Upon arrival, Dillon asked us what our plans were and we said, we don't have any plans, we just want to go off the grid and see the least amount of humans as possible. Dillon was informative and understood our needs to get away. He offered a destination for our first night and off we went in search of adventure. From there, we talked to locals and everything just flowed super organically. This trip will forever have a special place for me in my memory vault. My husband and I were recommended to use Native Campervans for our upcoming trip by another couple who had worked with them, and the recommendation was on point - absolutely spectacular!!! This was our first time renting a campervan/RV of any sort, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. We toured all of Utah and northern AZ, and the van allowed us the convenience of driving to all of our destinations, waste no time in "setting up camp", and we were able to cook almost all of our meals in the van. This was such a unique experience, everywhere we went we got comments, questions, and "that's so cool" statements about our van. Having the van allowed us the time and freedom to be flexible on our trip destinations, save money, spend time together, and focus on the trip not the logistics. We chose Native Campervans primarily because they were in Salt Lake City and offered a nice sized vehicle. We opted for the middle sized Dodge van. The arrangements were easy via emails. The rates were reasonable with appropriate options for us. We were going to spend 15 days hiking and backpacking in the Four Corners region, primarily in southern Utah. Our van had a great layout and was nicely outfitted. We were completely self-contained. There was room to store all our gear. James did a fantastic job of showing us all the features. The paperwork was simple. We were on our way quickly. The van was easy to drive and comfortable for me at 6'2". We were able to negotiate back roads without serious problems. The van handled those roads just fine. There is auxiliary LED lighting which is superb. The pull-out kitchen is genius with storage, 20 liter water tank, soft ice chest and a one-burner stove that worked just fine. dishes and utensils are provided. They include two chairs and a table which was nice for cocktail hour! The bed is a full sized queen and most comfortable. The sheets, pillows and comforter were perfect. The van has a vent and fan (that work via a remote!) which we used to great benefit every night. They were able to adjust our return time to work with our flight. We had a grand adventure, loved our van. These are fine people who offer a great service. Highly Recommended. read more

From my wife ... Wow - I can't say enough great things about my experience from start to finish with these folks. To give you some perspective - my family of four (two kids, 13 & 16 and my hubby) have travelled the world extensively. We actually sold our house in Vancouver a few years back and decided to backpack around the world because we wanted our kids to see what is beyond their backyard. I tell you this because as you can imagine a year of travel with two kids exposes you to a lot of perspective when it comes to travel experience. Native's customer service (Dillon was my guy) is second to none from the moment I booked online (I just discovered them from surfing the net) to the moment I dropped off our "Smalls Van". They answered all my questions and were extremely prompt and helpful with all my inquiries leading up to the trip. Their actual product is second to none. The van was spotless - so incredibly clean (no smells whatsoever as I have a crazy keen sense of smell) , top of the line EVERYTHING throughout. Great attention to detail and a beautiful product. My son and I put on over 1000 miles for our ten day trip and the "Smalls Van" got us off-road beautifully and provided the most wonderful 10 days we could ever imagine in Colorado. I hired a campervan from Native campervans for four weeks in May/June 2016. I had an absolutely fantastic time. There is so much to see in Colorado. Mesa Verde was my absolute favourite but I also took in Pikes Peak, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Hot Springs, Hovenweep, Teluride, Four Corners Monument and venutred into Arizona and Utah to see Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Rainbow Bridge, Bryce National Park, Arches National Park and Newspaper Rock. Dillon and Jon were really helpful while I was deciding how to travel and stay in USA. When I picked up the campervan they explained how everything worked. I found the van easy to drive and very comfortable to sleep in. It was also really convenient to have everything to hand for a quick cup of tea or lunchtime pic-nic when I needed a break from driving. I quickly got the hang of the conversion from driving mode to sleeping mode. I don't sleep well in a strange bed and this way I always had my own bed with me. Mostly I booked RV sites but I found that when I did turn up 'on spec' I was welcomed and never had a problem finding somewhere to park. As another review said Dillon and Jon made the experience hassle and pain free. Dillon and Jon are hard-working and enthusiastic. They did all they could to accomodate us including a drop off in Seattle. With it being a new and small company and me being in the UK there was always the worry that things could go badly wrong. The worries whilst valid were unfounded. We opted for the small van. In the UK this is the size of an estate car. We toured 4700 miles in a month through 7 national parks. The only issue we had was keeping things cold/cool. Nothing else proved to be a problem including the price. Mechanically the van ran very well and the storage of a month's gear including hiking kit was not a problem once we got ourselves into a routine. There are bigger and better vans around but for economy and comfort, Native Campervans will be hard to beat. As time goes on the conversions will improve (as they always do in any campervan) but for the present Native offer a first rate service. In a highly competitive market dominated by four or five very big companies, Native deserve to be given a chance as something more economical and indeed closer to "real" camping without roughing it. Strongly recommended, especially for those on a budget road trip. read more

My husband and I set out in mid-October to take a three-week adventure through Utah's stunning parks in a Native Campervan. We couldn't have been happier with the service we received. James helped us understand every aspect of operating the OG, which is basically a reconfigured Dodge Caravan. It's easy to drive and the design is simple, stocked with a sink, a butane burner, a cooler, linens and dishes...so we didn't need to schlep our gear on the airplane from Oregon. We were able to easily drive the van to stunning sites and never had to fret about having a place to sleep. But where Native Campervans truly stood out as an outstanding company was when we had to cut our trip short due to a medical emergency. James couldn't have been kinder or more generous. He met us at the office and carried our luggage to meet our Lyft to the airport. He sent back our binoculars, which we accidentally left in in our rush to leave. Best of all, Native Campervans refunded the days we were unable to use. This, during a slow time for their business. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Native Campervans and can't wait to pick up where we left off when my husband is again healthy. read more

These guys are awesome! They are so friendly. I had been Following them for a while on Instagram, so when my girlfriend and I were talking about taking a road trip through Utah I immediately thought of Native Campervans. I book it online which was easy enough. I got to the email about two weeks before our trip with instructions on how to get there and and phone numbers to call. When we arrived they were very welcoming and I could tell that they really loved the outdoors and had some good recommendations on things to do and see. After a little paperwork we were on our way. They were very accommodating with the return of the van, since we had a very early flight they actually came in early so we could return the van and not miss our flight. This really meant a lot to me because I'm always super stressed when dealing with airports. We had no problems with the van itself, everything worked like it was supposed to. I think next time we will go with the bigger van, Because we definitely plan to rent from native campervans again. My husband and I rented a Native camper van to explore Utah for 10 days. We can't say enough good things about the vans, the company and the people who work there! James was so enthusiastic and fun to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the area and you can tell that us having a great trip was important to him, he told us to get in touch with him if we had any questions about the van or if we ever needed any ideas on places to go or things to do. The van was amazing. It was easy to drive, it fit everywhere and you simply can't match its convenience. We were exhausted by the time we finished exploring everyday and it was so nice to be able to pull in make our food and crash. In the morning you make your coffee and head out, it's so easy. The camper comes stocked with everything you need to have a comfortable trip. The bed was super comfortable, there was plenty of room and not one time did we need something and not have it in the camper van. These guys thought of everything. I would rent from them again and again. We had such an awesome trip with Native and can't wait to plan our next trip with them! read more

We did a trip of 2300 miles from Denver to Las Vegas and stopped to every great locations (Grand Canyon, Arches, Canyonland, Horseshoe Bend), etc. The van was the PERFECT way to feel safe and also free to do what we wanted when we wanted. The feeling when you don't have to pack and unpack your stuff every day is just a pure relief. The van (Dodge Grand Caravan) was in perfect shape and very clean. I'm 5"11 and I had no issue sleeping very well in the van. The owners of Native campervan (John and Dillon) we're really helpful during the rental of the campervan and they explained everything about the rental, the better ways to see what we wanted, etc. It's not even expensive to fuel the tank! Gas price was around 2.59 all trip long, cost us approx. 35$ per fuel and we fueled about 4-5 times for the whole trip. If you travel during winter, ask them to put some extra liners and sleeping bags in there. We had ours but the nights can be pretty chilly up in there. I have only good words for this company, we're already planning another van trip somewhere this year! read more

Great people, great Company, and great idea. I rented the Smalls size and drove all over southwest Colorado (Denver to telluride and back) and loved my trip; great experience. Service: Steve, Dillion and the team are very cool and super helpful. Online reservation system is easy and the guys worked on my schedule for pick up and drop off. The process couldn't been easier. The Van: good size van; has everything you'll need. Very comfortable to drive (was in the van for 7-8 hrs the first day). New van; very clean; comfortable bed. My suggestion is go with this size if you plan to relax at night outside the van i.e. in your campsite. If you want room to relax inside the van, go with the Biggie. It was a little tight laying in bed and reading or writing before going to sleep. The Plan: this is the perfect way to do a road trip if you have/want flexible itinerary. My destination was telluride but I knew I could end up anywhere along the way. This was the way to go. Excellent company and I would definitely rent from Steve and the fellas again! read more

Native Campervans is by far the BEST way to explore the great outdoors. They enabled such a convenience that maximizes your exploring needs. We showed up to camp and were sleeping in minutes and in the morning we were on the road for our sunrise hike in no-time. Our campervan let us decide when and where we wanted to spend our time. My wife and I rented the OG, shout out Vanny DeVito!, to explore southern Utah and northern Arizona. James from NCVs was awesome! He had such great suggestions for hikes and campsites. When you deal with Native Campervans you're dealing with real people who know and love what they do and are they for your with whatever you need. In only 10 days, we explored Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion, (snuck in Grand Canyon and Page, AZ), monument Valley, Natural Bridges, Canyonlands and Arches National Park. There's no way we would have fit all that in if we had hotel reservations, or campsite reservations. read more

We rented the Biggie Plus for our 12 day trip to the Big 5 National Parks in southern Utah with our adult son. It was clean and well-stocked, perfect for our travels, easy to drive and park anywhere! Everything was easy to use and in great condition. Bedding was clean, warm and comfortable. We had plenty of room especially since we rented a tent for our son. James, out of the Salt Lake City office, was great in helping us plan our trip, provided prompt answers to any questions and gave suggestions for camping sites and unique experiences along the way. He was so friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a great time. We've camped for years with a fold-down camper, but really enjoyed this so much more! The stove and fridge were just right and provided the convenience that allowed us to explore and hike while still enjoying the camping experience. We'll definitely be calling Native Campervans again for another fantastic adventure! read more

Absolutely AMAZING! I rented the Native Campervans "Biggie" and drove from Denver up into the rockies, hiked Hanging Lake, took her down into Moab and then into Monument Valley, swooped down into Page, Arizona, came back up through Zion, and then traveled the rest of the way into Salt Lake City. The van was EXACTLY what I needed for my trip. The bed was SO comfortable, and there was plenty of space for storing bags as well as to set up and have a great day camping. The table, kitchen, and fridge are clutch. They even included camping chairs and firewood for me -- so appreciated! The pick up and drop of process was easy, and they have different mileage packages for you to purchase -- depending how far you go. Seriously, I can't rave enough. The van was so cozy, SO easy to drive, and made traveling as a solo female feel a lot more secure. 5 HELL YES stars. I'll be renting again! read more

A fantastic experience from a fantastic, honest company. Couldn't have asked for a better first time trying out the #vanlife with all the supplies Native Campervan set us up with. We rented the Smalls (Jackie Van) and it was incredibly cozy and comfortable. The built-in battery charger kept all our gadgets full and the fan kept us cool on warmer nights. We had no trouble sleeping in the van at all despite the tighter space than the much larger Biggie van. Big ups to James who was incredibly kind and friendly, and even gave us extra supplies for the road that previous travelers had left behind. He also helped us bump up to the 300 mi/day package to help save us some money when we ended up driving above the initial package we had reserved. We could not recommend these guys more for a camper van rental in the UT/CO/NV areas and can't wait to plan our next outing! read more

We had a nice experience with Native Campervans. We choose it is because it provides a right size campervan and they provided services at Salt Lake City. James is extreme helpful and friendly. We were a bit scare since we first arrive the company. The location is near the highway so it is not like a rental car company at all. But their vans are awesome. My friend and I were having a trip to Yellowstone National Park. James gave us many recommendation where we can travel around. When we were back from the Yellowstone National Park, we were experience a bit delay on the schedule. James understand our situation and told us that he can wait for us. That's really nice. We had a unforgettable memory when we had a campervan. It is our first time to rent a camervan, and we sure it won't be our last time. One of the best experiences of OUR LIVES! Everyone at Native Campervans was AMAZINGLY helpful, COOL, and friendly. I've already recommended it to everyone I know. Rented a "Biggie" campervan for a Colorado National Park road trip campground tour. We visited and stayed in Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon, and Rocky Mountain National Park. The campervan was very convenient... allowed us to drive into the National Parks where we wanted to go ( except for the 4x4 trail in Sand Dunes ) and protect us from the rain and hail in the afternoons! We stayed warm and dry, very cozy and comfy sleeping at night! The fridge and stove were super convenient! We parked at the Sand Dunes parking lot early in the morning to get a great spot, and made breakfast right there before crossing the Medano Creek to the sand dunes! June - August 10th. The van was well apportioned, comfortable, safe and easy to drive. Looking forward to our next campervan adventure with Native Campervans. #vanlife read more
