Then, while waiting in line at the Rapid Rez/Fast Break booth, the lady behind me told me they gave her the wrong car and she had to return to the Rapid Rez booth to have the car reassigned to her. Turns out the same thing happened to me because the lady in the booth sent me to the wrong car. I didn't know it until I was not able to exit the lot. Three cars behind me had to back up so I could return to Rapid Rez booth to stand in the blustery cold again and get the car reassigned to me. When I tried to exit for the second time, the man at the gate told me this car was not assigned to me either. I refused to go back to the Rapid Rez booth, so he personally ran back and corrected the issue. Turns out my Rapid Res rental took over 1 /12 hours! I have been a Rapid Rez member since 2013-- This is totally unacceptable! I rented from this Budget lot one year ago and had no problems so it appears someone needs to be retrained and management needs to pay attention....

Adam was super helpful in swapping out our Sienna minivan that we had rented at the airport the…read morenight before...and had a dead battery in the key fob that didn't let us unlock doors and caused issues with starting the car. Adam swapped the car with another Sienna and we were on our way in 10 minutes. As we left, he was talking to another customer who had rented a Suburban previously and Adam had found something left in the car and had saved it for him. Kudos for caring. Good local branch. I stress the second tip because the guy tried to charge me for having a second driver when my Hertz status said it was complimentary. Then he tried to sell me on accident coverage, but I told him the credit card I was using covered me for that, too. The rep will try to get you to spend more than necessary so advocate for yourself. Anyway, they didn't have the car I reserved (SUV EV), so I was put in a "brand new" 2023 Nissan Rogue (gas) that sounded louder than a U-Haul. That car sucked. The exterior was dirty so it was tricky to spot damages while we were doing a walk-around with the Hertz rep. The tires were at the end of their life and practically bald. Even on a dry, straight road, the car felt like it was fishtailing. Taking turn was worse as you'd lose all traction. The gas pedal was finicky and only knew 2 speeds no matter how hard/light you pressed on it: creep and floor it to hell. I didn't feel safe driving that car, but I was stuck with it until Monday when other locations would be open and I could see about swapping that shit box for the car I reserved. When Monday came, I called the location I rented from and told them all about my issues with the car. The best they could do was call around to see if other locations had the car I wanted, have someone grab the car, and bring it to Arvada where I could pick it up. I could easily do that myself, minus driving 45mins to their location when there were others much closer I could do the swap at. At the end of the day, I got the car I originally reserved. Upon returning it, it seemed like I wasn't the only person with car issues at this location. Another customer was complaining about the same thing: fishtailing on dry, straight roads and mentioned how bad the car is and all this other stuff. He ended up saying that the guy was trying to screw him over. He was pissed and rightfully so. I was glad to return the car and I don't plan on renting from this location again if I can help it. Everything about this place seemed shady.

Although they don't do pick-ups on weekends, it was a fairly easy walk from Union Station where I was staying (Hotel Indigo). The staff were really personable and they gave me a Jeep which was a really fun drive! I also really liked that they have a simple after hours drop off which was a good way to take the car out for a full day without having to pay for Hotel Parking. Drop off was simple and they called me back the next day to confirm that everything was in good order.

The owner picked me up at baggage claim and took me to a hotel close by where is fleet is located. He coordinated getting the car seats so they were on site before I was. Did the paperwork and I was off. Very easy process and nice guy. The vehicles are a little older but my Suburban was in great shape. I had 6 people in it for a week and drove it through the mountains of Wyoming and had no problems. They maintain their fleet well. I will definitely use these folks again and highly recommend them.
