This was our first experience enrolling our daughter in daycare, and my husband and I were a little nervous. She was used to one-on-one care with a nanny, and we were worried about how she would adjust and whether she would receive enough attention. Those fears disappeared quickly though, and our daughter absolutely thrived at Natura ECD! Natura emphasizes play, creativity, and nature, which made each day exciting for her. She spent lots of time outdoors in the secure, fenced yard, learning and exploring in ways that felt both safe and enriching. Ariana also incorporates age-appropriate academics through multi-week modules that keeps the kids engaged, as well as circle times focused on emotional intelligence and building friendships. We enjoyed all the artwork that came home and laughed at the fact that Mom couldn't do pig tails but our daughter let Miss Ariana do her hair. In the summer, our daughter loved the splash and water activities! Communication was good, which gave us so much peace of mind. We got daily updates through (private) Instagram stories, and the daycare uses an app to let you know when your child needs new diapers, wipes, sunscreen, or clothes--super helpful! And I have to mention potty training: I thought it would be a long, drawn-out process, but with the teachers' support, our daughter was fully potty trained within two months. Their patience and encouragement made all the difference. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter at Natura ECD. For any parent who is nervous about taking the leap into daycare, I wholeheartedly recommend scheduling a tour. We love Natura! As first time parents we had all the standard worries about starting daycare. Ariana answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm, so we quickly knew we were in the right place. Our son attended for Natura for 2 years and we feel so lucky to have landed there. He learned so many new skills, confidence, and when it came time for potty training he transitioned so well. We sent our son to Natura from ages 1 1/2 to about 3 1/2. Overall, our experience was positive. Our son really enjoyed attending - the outdoor area was especially great for play and he made some wonderful friends. We appreciated the age-based learning and development offered there (like fine motor skill projects and the growing/releasing butterflies!). We always felt that he was safe and cared for at Natura, and the one medical emergency he experienced while at Natura was handled really well by Ariana, making both of us feel good about the attention and care he was getting there. Natura has been incredible for our son! He has been attending since September of 2019 and we haven't looked back. Miss Ariana deeply cares for every child in her care and it shows on the daily. I love the private Instagram updates throughout the day and am very jealous of her outdoor set up for the kids to play! First, I have to say searching for a place to be responsible for your child is a tough process. Especially being a first time parent, it was so important for me to find a place I could love and trust. Miss Ariana, miss Carla and her team are five star all the way. I absolutely loved everything about them and their facility. What tipped it over the edge is the fact that my son, Kovi grew to love them so much and show them affection. (Doesn't come easy when you're not his family). After a week he was embracing them and felt so happy to go to school, play with his friends and learn with his teachers. I love how they have an Instagram for the parents! That's something that's going to make it hard as we search for a new daycare in Colorado. They posted all their meals throughout each day, posted on their story to show what everyone was learning, singing or doing. Glad I had this experience prior to enrolling our son. That would of been even worse... My wife and I were very excited after meeting with Ariana, but unfortunately once we began discussing the business side of our engagement things took a turn for the worst. We visited Natura on 12/16 and Ms. Ariana said she would email us the contract later that day. We called to follow up on 12/20 and we finally got the contract email over on 12/24, eight days late. We signed the contract and sent it back over to Ms. Ariana and she said in her email to us that we had until 12/27 to make a deposit. We set up automatic monthly bill payments on 12/27 along with our deposit. We emailed her back to confirm she received payment. Ms. Ariana sent us an email on 12/27 at 2pm stating she gave our spot away to someone else. I'm not sure how you can give someone a payment due date and cancel it in the middle of the afternoon? We called to try reconcile an agreement and heard nothing back. Ms. Ariana finally reached back out to us 9 days later and said she had someone give a "30 days notice yesterday." During these 9 days, my wife and I were scrambling to find a nanny since we told our long term nanny that we found a school for our son and she found another family. Unfortunately, we committed to a 4 week minimum with our current nanny and requested for our son to begin on 2/3. It sounded like it was going to work out since we had 30 days with our temporary nanny and she had a 30 days notice from a current family. Ms. Ariana abruptly emailed us back our deposit and suggested that we look at other schools. Ms. Ariana has an inability to answer questions directly. She was not willing to commit to any agreements and at the end we wasted a bunch of time and a good chunk of money trying to figure things out. *Note - Ms. Ariana will probably reply to this review and say something about receiving the contract and payment at the same time. This does not hold water in the argument since we emailed her and she replied back saying "as long as I have the deposit by 12/27 that's fine." read more

Miss Ariana has created a loving and caring environment while implementing a educational place for the children. My daughter started going to Natura when she was 18 months old. She's grown into a respectable 3 year old with a big thanks to Miss. Ariana and her staff. I truly believe my daughter is such a well behaved kid because of the structure she gets 40+ hours a week at Natura. Once my other daughter is old enough to attend I will be sending her to there too. We love Natura and Ms. Ariana! We have been sending our kids to Natura now for over two years. My four year old has been going there since he was two and a half years, and my two year old has been going there since he was eighteen months. Ariana has created a beautiful space that promotes love, respect, compassion and curiosity among the kids that attend Natura. All the kids get along so well with each other. I love that my boys are growing to be thoughtful, kind, and caring individuals who love to learn. She does an amazing job at organizing the day so they get lots of outdoor time to play, circle time to learn, read and share out, and time to create, build and make art. The daily photos and quick videos on the private Instagram are so nice, I get a inside glimpse of my kids' day. Ariana is great at giving me daily updates at the end of the day too, celebrations about what went well, how they're progressing or things we need to work on at home. She's very observant and quick to spot changes in the kid's energy, and does a great job at keeping us in the loop. Natura itself is amazing, I'm so jealous of the space she has for the kids. Of all the places I've ever interviewed for childcare I've never seen a yard like this! It has everything a kid could want. A huge yard to run around, trampoline for jumping, sandbox, tree house, swings, an actual tree the kids can safely climb. You can tell Ariana puts a lot of thought and energy into making the space special for little ones. There is really so much opportunity for play and exploring. We also really appreciate how Ariana has fostered a strong community among the parents at Natura. Before COVID, Ariana would open her home and host multiple holiday gatherings. They were so fun and welcoming! It was for everyone to have a chance to get together. It's hard to stop and chat when you're rushing to get to work, but Ariana made a space for that. We feel really fortunate to have found Natura and that both our boys are able to go there together. I'm going to be so sad when my older one leaves for school. read more

To anyone considering Natura Early Child Development daycare, please reconsider. I had read a few negative reviews and now regret not taking them more seriously before trusting them with my son. In ONE week of having my sweet 2 year old son in their daycare program: 1) I was accused of not providing structure to my son's life and sleep schedule at home (this is out of concern that he was not napping on demand at the exact same time as the other kids and without them having any idea whatsoever how I raise my son) 2) I personally witnessed him get injured on the trampoline - YES THEY HAVE A LARGE TRAMPOLINE AT A DAYCARE WITH 1-2 YEAR OLDS -accident waiting to happen, 3) They have an UNLOCKED gate into an alley way, and left my son unattended long enough for him to open the gate and get into the alley. What daycare has an unlocked gate into an alley that a 2-year old has access to??? They then blamed my son for being 'defiant' and sent me an email saying that they could no longer provide childcare for him. In other words, out of their negligence my son could have been seriously injured or kidnapped and they blamed the child. Just unbelievable. After all of this, they refuse to refund me any amount of the two month's tuition that I paid upfront. read more

We were really excited to have our daughter begin daycare here two days a week initially. Unfortunately she was with them for just one week before Ariana decided it was not a good fit. That is certainly fair enough, she can decide who to include or exclude, it's just surprising because when Ariana called to tell me she thought my daughter was "not ready" for daycare, it was the first I had heard of any trouble at all. The night before her first day she was teething and didn't sleep well. I warned Ariana about that before my daughter even arrived but Ariana did not seem concerned. The first day seemed to go amazing! I was getting updates all day through the app and was so relieved when I was notified she had an hour and a half nap, I was worried because of the teething. When my husband came to get her she seemed a little upset but they assured him it was normal for a first day. Her second day my husband he said she seemed normal when he got there, not like she had been crying. Staff reported that she had done better than the prior day even and my husband was pleased as they left. That is when Ariana called to tell me it wasn't going to work. She cited the fact that my daughter cried the whole time inconsolably both days and wouldn't nap either day. Which is weird because the app said the opposite. They even marked her behavior as "good" for the first day. None of this was adding up so I didn't argue. I know babies can be tough without their mamas but every other person who has ever taken care of my daughter for an extended period of time has only talked about how well behaved and easy going she is. So either she was unhappier there than she's EVER been, or they're lying. Which they sort of already did, parents should know they can't trust the updates that staff are making in that app. What really bothers me is that if my daughter was really crying inconsolably why wasn't I contacted immediately? She was teething and likely needed a frozen thing to chew on or pain medication. Instead they lied in the app about how well she was doing and let her suffer. Either they are inexperienced or they wrote my daughter off, assuming there was nothing they could do for her. Either way no thank you. Ariana additionally said my daughter "kept crawling out of the crib" during nap time which she admitted was dangerous. My daughter has already transitioned to a toddler bed and shouldn't be put in a crib. She is tall and dexterous so she can climb out of almost anything! Apparently that is not something they can handle at Natura. Probably because the room was too small to even give her a place to sleep on the floor. That room is tiny for 8 kids and 3 adults! Maybe 30x20 at the most and it's full of cribs and tables. It's summer and I was told they are outside mostly now but I already considered that this winter maybe another place would be better. Being cramped in that much space is sure to spread germs, not to mention it would drive her crazy. And that was it. Ariana didn't offer any options or even attempt to be helpful. I probably could have stayed with her/them a half day once or twice to at least try to ease the transition? They could have called me for advice! Surely a child has had difficulty in the first week of day care before? They have no solutions for this kind of problem? The contract says I should have gotten a months worth of notice, more evidence their word can't be trusted either. Anyway, I don't want my daughter anywhere she's not wanted so no problem there. They didn't charge us for the week so there is that. But they made us come back an extra two times to get our stuff (they didn't give us back our immunization record the first trip!!) which was inconvenient and inconsiderate. She could have at least offered to mail it considering the circumstances. She made this decision so sporadically she had no time to prepare for it. I guess that's how she makes her business decisions. It all seemed a little unstable though... Honestly Ariana just had a baby (literally last week) so I can sympathize that maybe she is tired or distracted, I remember those days. I think she just didn't want to deal with any sort of issues transitioning a new toddler. She was unwilling to even try working with us even paying as much as we were willing to (640/month for 2 days a week). All in all this place was an uncaring and unprofessional waste of time. If your kid can sometimes have difficulty napping in a new place for the first week, likes to climb out of things, or cries when they are teething I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Our child has been attending Natura ECD for almost two years since he was just over a year old. Ariana and the other teachers have always been great with him and all the kids. He learns so much everyday. He loves playing dress up with all the costumes and jumping on the trampoline. He is exposed to and even eats tons of food that he won't try for us at home. I'm so happy that I found Ariana and her team for my daycare needs that I had at the time! I really do feel like they truly cared about the well being and growth of my daughter (and all of the kids). When I dropped her off I knew she was going to have some sort of fun, creative adventure. She learned so much from baby yoga, to her letters, to generally inpspired curiosity. I went on a walk with my daughter one day, and she kept stopping me to talk about the trees and plants. She said "mommy, let's stop and talk about this." I definitely didn't teach her that. I also felt like I was able to experience her day with her because they documented the day very thoroughly on instgram. I loved that! They have a very nice, large backyard for the kids to play in. You can tell Ariana pours her devotion and heart into the facility, and cares about the surroundings. There are a lot of fun toys and equipment for the kids to enjoy. I knew she'd never be bored! Being a working parent, it's very hard to let someone else essentially help raise your child for you when you can't be there. I could never express enough how incredible Ariana and her staff at Natura ECD are! Like many moms, I had to go back to work after my son was born and I struggled for so long to find a daycare that fit my high standards. I was so relieved when we found Natura. It was such a happy, peaceful, joyful place filler with love unlike most daycares we toured which seems to be controlled chaos. Every day, my son was welcomed with open arms and a smile and he LOVED his time there. The level of care exceeded my standards. He was provided healthy meals, outdoor play time every day (unless the weather permitted obviously) learning and group activities, baby yoga, and so much more! I also knew that he was adored appreciated, and loved as an individual instead of just another child. It was everything and more than I could of asked for my son! My son has been going to Natura for about four months now after being referred to us by a friend who happened to be one of Ariana's first children when she opened her business. When we first toured the facility, we brought our son with us and all of the children immediately ran over to see who this new child was. All of the children were so nice to my son and brought him several different toys to play with since he could not yet walk and explore on his own. As we observed the children interacting with each other, we noticed that they all seem to be incredibly sweet, kind, and gentle. Children were also coming up to Ariana and Daniela to give them random hugs. All parents (especially first time parents like us) know how excruciating it is to leave your child in daycare for the first time. While I still cried in the street outside the daycare center and then at work for literally half the day after dropping him off for the first time, I knew that he was in a safe place with adults and children who would be loving and kind to him. My son acclimated very well to daycare and has already learned a lot of skills in the few months that he has been there. Natura also posts a lot of Instagram stories on their private parents-only account so we can check in to see what our kids are up to throughout the day. We see what they eat and the activities they take part in. There is plenty of variety and I can see that the children are learning colors, the alphabet, music, cooperating with each other, etc., and there is plenty of playtime outside. The daycare is run out of a home, but it is fenced in and locked around the full perimeter, and there are lots of security cameras. I have a background in security, so these are things that I look out for. The place is very organized, which is helpful to me since I have no prior parenting experience and sometimes feel like I have no idea what I am doing! There is also an online portal where you can see what your child has done throughout the day (when they eat, sleep, diaper changes, milestones achieved, etc.). You can also send messages to the daycare throughout the day as needed, which isn't very often, but is still a nice option to have. We were on a wait list for a different daycare that many of our friends raved about that is a little bit more convenient for us to drive to, but we are so happy with Natura that we will be keeping our son there. I wanted to touch on another person's review to clarify what my experience was and what you can expect as a parent from the business side of things. To me, the sign up process is pretty simple and straightforward. All of the rules and expectations are detailed for everyone - the child, parent, and the caregivers. The contract states that payment must be received along with the signed contract in order to secure your child's spot. Cancellation policies, holiday and summer/winter vacation closures, supply list, etc. - everything is detailed. In addition, anyone who lives in San Diego and is a parent knows that daycare is incredibly difficult to come by. For instance, we have been on a wait list for almost a year at some places that really aren't all that special. They are just normal daycare centers! If you need daycare and Ariana tells you that there is an opening for your child, I would advise you to take the opening (because your child will love it there and will be well taken care of) and pay the fee as clearly spelled out in the contract because there is a long line of parents waiting for an open spot. Ariana is definitely not hurting for business and will understandably give your spot away if you do not pay, but she does give you a couple of days to make the initial payment before notifying the next person in line and giving your spot away. In our case, she told us that we could have three days to pay if I am remembering correctly. We paid the same day, however, since we did not want to take any chances. read more

We have so many great things to say about Natura and Miss Ariana. First, the space is amazing- I wish we had an outdoor space like theirs! Our son and his buddies genuinely seem to love playing outside. Next, Miss Ariana runs a smooth running ship. Important updates are given through the app, naps, snacks, and meals run like clockwork, she is strict about her illness policy (which is great, especially now), and our little guy never came home with unexplained injuries. Even during drop off and pick up, she focuses her attention on the kids instead of chatting with parents, which is a great policy that we really appreciated. If we ever needed to communicate something, she was readily responsive and available by phone or email. She also engages the kids in a great variety of activities; cute craft projects; new books and games; circle time with songs, parachutes, dancing, books, yoga (hilarious), and learning about feelings, among other things! We've brought several of her ideas and approaches home with us. We also really appreciate her updates via IG and a daily app; as a FTM, I felt reassured seeing pics and updates of my little guy having fun throughout the day. She was supportive when we started potty training on our own timeline (2yo) and encouraged us to stick with it. Miss Ariana had a great bond with our son and all the other kids; she is warm and caring with the kids but also maintains fairness and authority (difficult for us to strike this balance at home!) Oh and we LOVED that she planned Natura events a few times a year- they were nicely done and a great chance to meet other families and Natura staff, create a sense of community, and see the little ones in action with each other :) We unfortunately stopped attending due to the pandemic but hope to return soon! read more

We have been going to Natura for the past year and a half and have had a very good experience. Ariana and her staff are fantastic and all very caring and engaged with the kids. My 2 1/2 year old knows the alphabet, can count to 20, knows the names of the planets (and which are closest to the sun, largest, etc.) and this morning after singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" in the car, asked to sing it in Spanish (and then she proceeded to do so!). My daughter started when she was 18 months old and has developed so many great skills over the past year and a half. Potty training was a breeze with the help of the Natura staff. They do a ton of really cool activities, serve healthy meals and snacks and just have a lot of fun. I really appreciate everything Ariana and her staff do to make my kid smile every day. Our daughter has been attending every day for nearly a year and from the first time she walked in she has been totally at home there. She loves the staff - Ariana and Carla are wonderful and her face lights up to see them - and has made good friends who she talks about every night. Our daughter has developed really well since starting and we love the lessons and play they engage in. They have a great outdoor space for playtime, which we love as we don't have much space at home. Our daughter takes a real joy in counting, singing the alphabet and going through colors - and she's not even 2. Ariana is very thoughtful and pays close attention to any changes in temperament and so catches any rashes or illnesses early. As a working mother, I want to find the best and safe environment for my 14 months daughter where I can be completely worried free when I am at work. Ariana and her dedicated staffs delivered above and beyond my expectation of not only providing a safe, fun, nourishing, educating environment, they have so much patience and love these children. Their daily agenda filled with hearty and full of nutrients snacks and lunches. They keep the children entertained all day with many indoor and outdoor activities combining singing, reading, dancing, yoga. Ariana not only taught my daughter the educational aspect, she taught her how to be assertive, independent, and listen to the rules...even when she doesn't want to. Ariana eased all my worries by the constant updates thought Daily connect and Instagram on the hourly activities my daughter is going through. Seeing how much my daughter has grown and learned so much within the past 6 months and is happy to see her teachers and friends each day, my heart is so content. We toured several daycares to find the perfect spot for our baby boy. Once we saw Natura we knew it was the one. He is now eight months old and has been attending full time for a little over one month. Even though he is at the age of separation anxiety he has never once cried when I drop him off. He is always greeted with big smiles from Ariana, Dani, and the other children. Natura is everything you could want in a daycare. I hesitate to even call it daycare because it feels more like preschool. Ariana does sign language, reading, art, gardening, and more with all the children--babies to preschoolers. Plus they are super in tune with technology and share pictures regularly throughout the day as well as update you on your child's activities via the Daily Connect app. I just can't say enough about Natura. Ms. Ariana and her team are the best! She is so loving and provides so many great opportunities for the child's overall development. They do all the stuff you'd normally think of like singing, dancing, reading stories, art, outdoor play, and learning colors, ABCs, & 123s. And then also so much extra - they do yoga, meditation, Spanish, and baby sign language. They provide wholesome, nutritious, home-cooked food and provide lots of love and attention to each child. And they even share daily pictures and videos with parents so we can see what our little ones are up to while we are at work. We feel so fortunate to have found Natura! My daughter is almost 2 and has been going to Natura four days a week since February. All the teachers are wonderful and I'm constantly amazed by how much she is learning there. Ariana and the rest of the staff have been very responsive to all our needs and I know that they genuinely care about all the kiddos. My husband and I feel so grateful that our daughter's first experience with a "school" environment has been so overwhelmingly positive. But most importantly, it obvious how much she loves it there. This is the first childcare we've found where I never worry if my son is getting the attention and guidance we believe in. So many places give mission statements on their websites but the actual experience falls short. Ariana and her team are helpful, responsible and truly care about my child and his interactions with the other children and his environment. He loves yoga and sign language and was potty trained only a few weeks after we started. He especially loves the outdoor area and it's shady and cool so I don't worry during the summer. Natura is a wonderful and special place. Ariana and her team are loving, attentive, and fun. The space is bright and stimulating, with air conditioning (NICE). The kids do interesting and varied activities, and -- my favorite part -- there is a large shaded yard for free play and getting a dose of nature. The food is wholesome and made from scratch. My daughter attended between age 1 and age 2, and I never worried about her feeling lonely or bored. When I dropped her off, she would go happily into outstretched arms. If I ever texted Ariana, I would hear back right away, and I felt like she genuinely cared about my daughter. The school also has a range of ages from babies to preschoolers. My daughter learned things from her older friends, and she also loved watching her younger friends. It felt very natural and familial to have a range of ages like that. My daughter who is now 9 months old has been going to Natura Early Child Development since she was 3 months old. Our daughter is always greeted with a warm smile and welcoming hands from the owner and staff at Natura. She has learned baby sign language and her day is filled with age appropriate developmental games. We are updated daily on her developmental progress and how her day went. She is ALWAYS super happy to go to Natura and I know she feels safe and loved. As a parent there is no other place I would send my daughter.Natura provides a warm and welcoming environment for all ages of children. The care provided is tailored to each childs needs and learning styles. I feel extremely safe and confident my child is in the best hands possible when she is at Natura. We recently started our infant (6m) daughter at Natura in November 2015. We were looking for an in-home daycare that our daughter would thrive in both emotionally and socially. Ariana and Dani are amazing and do just that. Our daughter was not the easiest going baby (hated the bottle and was attached to my hip) but they have done wonders for her. Our daughter has bonded with them and they show her the affection that she needs. They actively play with the kids; circle time, outside play, art projects, etc. There is always something new. My daughter went here last year and we were sad to leave (we moved overseas). Ariana is such a wonderful teacher! Our daughter loved going everyday and was even sometimes sad to leave. We loved being able to see what our daughter did and ate all day. Our family that lived far away also loved this! The food was always homedmade and looked delicious. We were really sad to leave and hope to return to San Diego so we can put our kiddos back in Natura. read more

We feel so lucky that Natura had an opening when we needed it for our baby boy. They have been caring for him since he was 4 months old (he's 10 months now) and they have been absolutely wonderful! I was originally looking for a big daycare center since when I did some "shopping around" they just seemed more professional than many of the private in-home care providers I met and focused more on providing child development activities, rather than just babysitting. The downside of a big daycare center is how impersonal or sterile it might be, and I worried about the level of attention my baby would get. Natura is the perfect fit because it has the best of both worlds! Ariana and her helpers focus so much on child development activities (sign language, learning about feelings, colors, yoga, etc.) and have a good structure to the day (although there is plenty of free playtime too!) while still being small and personal. I know my child is getting the attention he needs. The ladies are so warm, patient, and genuinely love my little guy, and he adores them! When he had a diaper rash, Ariana went above and beyond and did everything she could to manage it, avoiding disposable diapers and wrapping him in breathable cloth as much as possible. I was impressed! The outdoor play area is huge, has plenty of shade, and they take the kids outside every day to play outdoors. All the food is made from scratch and I think it's organic too. I also like how they constantly post pics on Instagram and update the DailyConnect app so I know what's going on with my boy. Seeing his smiling face is a nice little break from work.
