Very clean, well organized store with a great selection of products and friendly staff.

The cashier area is left unattended a lot. I wonder why. Today we waited over 4 minutes for someone to walk to the registers. I could not find anyone to help us at the checkout. I wished there was more leadership and love at this location. So much gets overlooked including teamwork. Why isn't there teamwork visible? Please encourage and model more teamwork here. I like that Natural Grocers setup business in Fredericksburg, They have Organic produce only and the usual wide variety of supplements, water, so calked healthy drinks, boutique snacks, and chocolate . They do not have much of a variety of meats and what they do have is mostly frozen. Not a deal breaker though. What i do like most, aside from the plentiful organic food selections is that it's not crowded like out local supermarkets. Visitors and tourists will find this store to their liking no doubt. Employees are the rudest people I have ever come across. They have a severe seniority complex - new flash you work in a subpar grocery store in a small town. Most of the items are constantly out of stock. Can't wait for this place to shut down. read more

Very nicely laid out with lots of room in the isles and clean. Had a large variety and well stocked. I went in 30 minutes before they closed and knocked several small glass bottles of water off a shelf while quickly grabbing a few things, making a huge mess. I felt so terrible but they were very nice, wouldn't dare let me help clean up or pay for what I broke. Excellent customer service . read more

Wow and I mean a big Wow! This is the best grocery store. The produce is of extreme high quality and the best I have seen. Clearly, much better than Whole Foods and Central Market HEB. An average HEB is so far behind this store, you won't want to shop the mainstream anymore. NAtural Grocers had my favorite apples from Mount Rainer. The Kale and tri-colored Swiss chard are beautiful. The organic produce abounds and this place has plenty to select from. Potatoes, broccoli, greens and fruit. If you cook, this is your store. I bought organic flour and cornmeal directly from the refrigerator. They are dated and guaranteed fresh. They have good grocery items that compete with mainstream grocery prices. NG canned tomatoes are superior to Muir Glen. They have a good array of boxed cereal, local honey from Seguin, cookies, oils, vinegars, jams, bread and broth. The dairy section carries premium brands like Organic Valley. This store's vitamin and supplement section is well stocked and staff is knowledgeable. NG has no fresh meat section. They do have natural cleaning supplies and a good frozen section for quick natural meals and veggies. I spent less than usual for my weekly shop and most certainly bought much higher quality food. This store is incredible! The entire staff are so knowledgeable when it comes to diet and supplements. They are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The selection of vitamins is unmatched anywhere. Only Organic produce, so I never have to worry about buying conventional. They call extra cashiers to help when the lines starts to build, but I never feel rushed or like I wasn't paid attention to. We'll done Natural Grocers, well done! read more
