I had such a great experience at this nail salon! I called an hour before showing up and they were able to squeeze me in! I asked if they'd be done in an hour and they offered to do both my Gel mani and pedi at the same time. While Vina (who has excellent customer service) did my pedicure, Lily (such a sweet woman) stood next to the pedi chair and did my manicure. She stood the entire time and took her sweet time to ensure the nails were done well. Vina is great, she shook my hand, introduced herself to me and even remembered my name on my way out. I came here originally because I needed my nails done midday and had no time to go to my normal spot after work and before an event that evening. Natural Image was referred by a co-worker and so I gave it a try. First thing that turned me off was one lady started my nails and then, what I believe is her regular customer came in, so she just handed me off to someone else without explaining or anything (rude and unprofessional). So after being handed off, I had two people working on me (one on my fingers and one on my toes) and then they got their regular customers too so they literally rushed through my services and threw me under the dryer (and threw my personal belongings next to me on the floor).... Just to realize they painted my nails the complete wrong color!!! I would give them 1 star, but my finger nails did look decent for two days. My toes were a complete disaster (very sloppy job). After only TWO days, my nails were chipping, breaking and my gel-polish peeling. This is probably the worst job I've had. I wasted $50 because I waited until the last minute to get my things done. I had no energy or time to try to have them fix it or tell them I wasn't paying, so I just took my sloppy job and went about my day. I just knew in the back of my mind, they wouldn't get business from me anymore. Bottom Line: Don't go if you are on a tight schedule... Also if you mind getting handed around or getting a rushed looked job this place is not for you. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I went to Natural Image for a manicure. They were able to get me in within hours of my call. Great location right next to work. Easy in easy out. Tina did a great job on my nails! I told her the shape I liked and that's exactly what she did. Sometimes I get little bubbles in the polish because it is thinned. The color on my nails are perfect, no bubbles and well done. I love going to Natural Image. It's a few blocks from my office. I usually like to go early morning before work. Maria is a master hair cutter/stylist. Always get lots of compliments on the various hairstyles she's given me over the last few years. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Any one of the staff is terrific with pedi and mani. When I'm in a hurry someone will give me a pedicure/foot and calf massage while another staff member does the manicure. (Both last a good, solid week.). They always make me feel pampered. I've been here twice for manicures. Both times I was seen right away (without an appointment). The manicurist was not in a rush, which I was fine with. It may have taken a little longer than a typical manicure, but she was meticulous and it's the only place I've found so far where my nails aren't chipping the next day - ask for the No Chip base coat - it's amazing! A little more expensive than most of the places on Newbury ($15), but worth it for the convenience of going during the day and no chipping! read more

I have worked in the Bank of America building for several years. I would love to be able to make an appointment and go downstairs to have my manicure, pedicure. Everytime I try, I am always disappointed. Recently, In desperation, I got a manicure and to my horror, nothing was sterilized. The manicure lasted a only about 3 days. My friend that I work with went for gel nails. They started chipping at the corners in a few days. She went back to have them replaced and they said they would "touch up" Needless to say, my friend will not go back there again. As far as pedicures. Uncomfortable chairs with just a foot bath. It would be heaven to go there and have nice services. I would pay even more if I could get a decent manicure, pedicure. Also, they just don't seem to care. read more

I had great hopes for this salon. They are very friendly and helpful, couldnt be nicer but when it came to the nail service it was downright scary. First of all the gel polish began chipping in 2 days. The technician ground down my nails so much that all my fingertips hurt for a week. Within a week and a few days, 2 of my nail tips broke off, probably because the nail was so thin from the grinding. One of them split horizontally right down the center and I could fold it in half (gross). Several of the nails were different lengths (shorter than the rest). In other words my nails were a horrible mess. Needless to say I will stay far, far away from this place. read more

I had a great experience at this nail salon. Anna was detailed oriented from start to finish! The price was the same I pay back home in Wisconsin and I don't get a neck and shoulder massage as well. The salon was neat and clean and the techs were all very friendly. It's centrally located in the financial district for women who work there or who are shopping or visiting. read more
