Yesterday I made an appointment for a manicure (I have acrylic on my hands) and a regular pedicure. On the phone the gentleman who answers doesn't speak English very well and apparently did not hear me request services of a manicure although I have been there multiple times and always book a manicure and a pedicure. I sit down and a woman begins working on my nails which I found strange because they always start with my feet- when inquired about it. The gentleman that answers the phone said I never requested a pedicure just a manicure- I told him he must not have heard me because if he checks my file I always get a manicure and a pedicure- he insisted I never requested it- after I ran through the whole conversation. I asked could I be accommodated for a pedicure as I did originally request that and it's my birthday- he said no- and told me I can leave and didn't have to pay- but I showed him my nails weren't done and no one would go out with there nails like this- I reiterated that I didn't mind waiting for a pedicure and he said no again. I want to reiterate that I have been coming to this establishment for years... and I have seen them make accommodations for others- however those others seemed to be well off and white. I am a black woman who lives in the area- I walk there. I know I don't always look like a woman with means- but I have done ok for myself- and didn't deserve this treatment. I am sure if I had a different skin color I would have received a different level of customer service or even an apology. Even after I acknowledged this misunderstanding there was no apology just a shoulder shrug. This was very disappointing and I will never go back there again.

The crazy thing was friend #4 got started and #3's nail tech was nowhere to be found! I started seeing her in and out in the back with (I'm assuming) her dog, then she got started on #3 eventually. Fast forward, myself and the first friend got done early, I'm sitting at the dry bar next to the person watching the dog and then the is pooping on the couch! It definitely is starting to smell a little and I see the guy with the dog frantically trying to clean up the mess. I went here with my friend and I payed $50 plus tip to get a gel set with a simple design on two…read morenails. At first I was very happy with the service, but within two days I could tell that one of the nails was not cured all the way through. It started to lift off my nail and get a bubble. The bubble then popped, and I could see wet gel polish underneath. For those of you that do not know this, this is VERY dangerous! It can cause your body to develop an allergy to gel polish and destroy your nails. I went back later that day to show them the issue, and they told me they would fix it. I expected them to take off the polish that was there, clean up the wet gel polish, and redo the nail. Instead, she just painted over the bubble, adding more wet gel into the hole and making a huge bump on my nail. When I get home I ended up just taking the whole nail off. And as I expected, there was wet gel underneath. I am so disappointed since I thought that this would be my next go to place, but I put my nail health over a good deal any day.
