Angel was my tech and he was kind of rude I'm not going to lie so it turned me off a bit and they have a sign in the store that says if you're rude they'll charge you $10 so should he have given me $10? Lol plus he messed my cuticles up... besides that the pedicure spa service was excellent and I love that they include the wax and hot stones with a massage. I noticed that the other guest were offered complimentary wine or water and Angel didn't part his lips to offer me anything and when I asked for it he acted like I asked him to walk to the store for me. She has a memory like an elephant always remembering your colors and colors you want the next time.Their process for manicures is clean. They use the plastic inserts and offer different scrubs. We (two of us) stumbled in after a great lunch from a place across the street. We watched person after person go in and come out so we knew it must be the place to go... Why not end the afternoon with manicures and pedicures right! They were busy and communicated the whole time about what was happening. They where able to start one of us first and the other not too soon after. We both received spa pedicures including a massage, hot stones, and paraffin wax. It felt amazing and we both felt super relaxed. The manicures were next and we where both thoroughly impressed with our manicurist skills and kindness (sorry that we didn't get her name). We went one after the other as they were still busy but we didn't mind she was quick and efficient. And last but definitely not least there was a gentleman who seemed to be the manager and/or owner. He was so friendly and funny he kept us feeling attended to even when we were not receiving a service. UGH! SO DISAPPOINTING!!!! Usually I have a great experience when I come here but not on Wednesday. Lindsay was out but I went anyway to get my normal acrylic overlay with a design. Two things pissed me off during this visit: 1. I wanted a zigzag design on 2 nails and this shit look like busted ass waves (pic posted). I asked the lady to fix it and she said no cause it was gel polish and some other BS.....insert side eye here. I didn't press it cause I'd already been there for over an hour, insert second side eye 2. I found out that getting two nails painted with glitter polish is considered a design. WTF!?! So that was another $5, that I usually don't notice but not re-doing my zigzag design made me notice. It should not be an additional cost for 2 polishes, 3 I can understand. I'm on the fence about returning because of this experience not to mention they always seemed a little expensive but this was my only bad experience and Lindsay does a good job every time. Ugh! What to do? The service is usually good, the place is clean, all the technicians are friendly and Lucy (I think that's her name) is great at picking my color but shit it might be a wrap for ya'll. I discovered this place back in May 2012 during Mother's Day. The place is open 7 days a week and they are open later than most places i've visited. They have two floors of services. There is complementary parking in the rear parking lot if you spend a minimal of $25. They offer student discounts and other discounts from mondays to wednesdays only. Tips must be given in cash. They have an atm inside if you need to use it. They will offer you one free alcoholic drink with your mani and pedi. I would recommend an appointment no matter what time during the day and what day during the week. They allow dogs on their premise, however i have experienced when some of their other customers are afraid of a little 14lb poodle. I love getting my nails done by Anne and Leah. They do a great job with my Gel Mani and Reg Pedi. They lose one star because anytime i leave a message to make an appointment.. I never get call back for confirmation. I have been getting gel manicures and pedicures at Euphoria for more than two years. I had a bad experience at a different local nail salon and a close friend recommended Euphoria due to their great service and pleasant environment. I haven't gone anywhere else since. The employees at Euphoria have never been anything but friendly towards me. I am a teacher which means I am always using my hands and in the past, my gel manicures would chip easily. I currently have a gel manicure from Euphoria on that is more than three weeks old. While my nails have obviously grown out some, the polish is still completely intact. They have a wonderful range of colors and will help you look for a color if you can't decide. You sometimes have to ask if you would like wine or water if they do not offer first but they are always happy to provide it! Pedi was whatever, she could've done a better job shaping and polishing, but mani was so bad. I asked for rounded square, got nothing close to that, then she cut my cuticle and made me bleed. As I was drying, I accidentally smudged one and she just applied more polish making it clumpy. I found out about Euphoria Nail Bar through my teller at Citizens Bank. Her nails were always so well kept and shiny that I had to ask about them. She explained that it was a gel manicure and that I should go to Euphoria on Main Street. I had never heard of a gel manicure or Euphoria Nail Bar before, but I made a mental note to take some time out for myself and visit this place. I made a reservation upon the suggestion of a fellow yelper because I hate to wait if I don't have to. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted by a woman who had an "owner aura" about her. There were 4 other women being serviced at this time (10:00 am) and that was a good sign. The "owner" took my coat and asked me to pick a polish. The salon itself is really beautifully designed. I thought the colors, while somewhat bold, were very soothing. While picking my nail color from the crazy huge selection, I was greeted by the tech who was going to do my nails. She was extremely friendly without being over the top. We had a genuinely good conversation while she was doing my nails. Though the gel manicure process is a little tedious, I must say I enjoyed it. I also REALLY loved the way my nails looked when she was finished. (I am looking at them as I type this awesome review ;-) Oh yes, her name is Tina and I would love for her to do my nails again. The gel manicure is supposed to last for two weeks so I will be sure to make a trip back soon! Parking is free behind Euphoria with a service minimum of $25. Ok so I have been going here for almost a year. I think the place is progressively getting WORST. I went this past weekend and I had an appointment at 9 am. When I got there there was only one lady there and several people waiting. The other lady's didn't show up till 9:20. I had acrylic tips on and instead of soaking them off, they began to shave the nail down and she got too close to my real nails and it hurt! So I told her but she kept going. THEN, She cuts down the fake nails and cuts my actual nail down as well! I said "excuse me you cut my nail down" she says ohh okay I'll just file it down. No, just no. When Euphoria opened I was thrilled. I live only a few blocks away, and while I liked the convenience of Christie's, it was usually pretty crowded. My first few visits were great (mani /pedi / eyebrow wax). The staff was friendly, service was good and they were pretty quick (without feeling rushed). That went downhill, fast. My friend and I had a random Thursday off so we decided to start our morning at Eurphoria with a mani / pedi. I checked their website and saw they opened at 9am. We waited outside until 9:45am until the staff showed up. And by 'staff', I mean one person. The second staff member mosey'd in sometime around 10am. Frustrating. Not only was that annoying, they did a horrible job on my friends nails - to the point that her cuticles were bleeding and she had to buff her own nails because the woman then started to rush her. I decided to give them another chance and went in this past Saturday, 12/7/13. There were no customers but they were open (it was about 7pm). I just needed my eyebrows waxed. I let myself into the back room and waited about 5 minutes while the woman who was going to wax me finished eating her apple... which she then chewed in my face while waxing me. She was plucking very close to my eye - I didn't think I had any hair there but what do I know. It hurt and started bleeding. After she finished she wiped my eyelids with alcohol. Do you know what it feels like to wipe alcohol on an open, bleeding wound? It effing hurts. Bad. And leaves a NASTY scar. ON YOUR FACE. Now I am walking around with what looks like a small hickey on my eye lid, and two days later it STILL hurts. Who cares what my eyebrows look like, I have a huge, distracting scab above my eye. I will never go back there again. Ever. I'd love to contact the owner and show them what they did to my face but I have no idea of who owns it or how to get in touch with them. I have been to this place a couple times and I think the last time may have been the last. It was the first time I received a pedicure there and it was horrible! They really didn't do anything at all to my feet to get them softer. They even charged me extra for foot scrub, isn't that generally just included!? Even after the "special" foot scrub, my feet still have dry skin and are rough. I also received a gel manicure. The lady (who I believe is the owner) that took my previous polish off filed my nails/fingers so much that I had a scab on my finger from her doing it so hard and rough. My friend and I went to Euphoria mani/pedis. She got both for $32 while my pedi was a bit overpriced at $28. I would have done both if I'd known the price was so close. The salon smells really strongly of nail polish/remover. However, we were seated upstairs after a short wait and that was infinitely better. They have really nice massage chairs up there, and it was quite relaxing because we got a glass of complimentary wine. However, the service was so-so. The manicurist cut my friend's finger and didn't even apologize about it. And the pedis were ok. I probably won't be returning because I've found better priced pedis in the city with better service. I have lived in Manayunk for 3 years, and usually frequent Chrissy's nails. As Chrissy's is usually pretty packed, I decided to try Euphoria. I feel this was a mistake. They REALLY push things on you, like a Gel manicure, a more expensive pedicure, and waxing. I don't mind being upsold, but they are agressive about it. Furthermore my Gel Manicure, which they pushed on me and assured me would last for three weeks peeled off after about a week, and took forever to get done. I've had it elsewhere and it took about half the time. The pedicure felt nice, and they take time to really scrub your feet, massage etc. but only if you upgrade... I just moved to the area and was looking around the neighborhood for nail salons. After going into another nail salon, I decided to stick with Euphoria because they were friendly when I walked in. My first visit was enjoyable. I was greeted with smiles and friendly attitudes. Winter was very helpful with color matching since I was receiving their special of the gel mani and classic pedi. They definitely know their color selection. The quality of the color brands they use are the best and the polish area is kept clean. I noticed they get busy fast, which is a good sign. They also delegate services in a way that makes sense. First visit with my gel mani and classic pedi was a success. Second visit was very similar to the first. Even better because they still had the gel mani and classic pedi special going on for $45 cash. Cash is king. Also, the atm dispenses $10's if you don't have cash on you. Like my first visit, they helped me color match my toes to my fingers. This time I had two gentlemen doing my services and they were very polite and efficient. Euphoria is the place to go to get your nails done on Main St. The pedicure foot massage may not be as long lived as other places and it may take awhile for services (not a place if you're in a hurry), but it's the only place around that doesn't butcher my cuticles and leaves my nails looking amazing. DO NOT GO HERE! I had an appointment at 5:30 and didn't get seated until 6:15. When I finally got seated I was so rushed and asked the lady to file my nails lightly. She filed them to the point where they were about to bleed and they are so uneven and all different lengths. The lady must have been the owner and the 15 minutes that I was getting my nails done she was screaming to the point where it wasn't even enjoyable. I will never go back to this place again! Considering this salon is almost always busy, I am surprised to see so many reviews that don't accurately depict the great experience that Euphoria provides! I love it here. I get an excellent gel manicure every 2-3 weeks at Euphoria. If you have an appointment, you won't have to wait, but walk-in appointments vary with wait time. The price is unbeatable! Some salons on Main charge as high as $45 for gel manis, and they don't last nearly as long as they do at Euphoria. Parking validation is available, and complimentary wine and mimosas are always offered. I suggest bringing cash, as you cannot tip on your card. The service is always friendly and helpful. Sarah, Lucy, and Ryan have all done my nails before, and they are METICULOUS about the entire process. They have even suggested similar colors by other polish brands knowing that the quality of polish was better. When I had a gel mani peel in less than a week (OPI polish), Lucy fit me in at the last minute for a free make-up manicure. Euphoria is also awesome for parties. I hosted a large group event a few days before my wedding, and Lucy was incredibly accommodating (champagne, glasses, tables for food, plenty of seating). I'm disappointed in this salon. I really wanted to like it because it is conveniently located steps away from the Manayunk train station, which is convenient when commuting. I got a dip powder manicure and a classic pedicure. The nail tech recommended I get dip powder on top of my natural nails and then gel polish on top of that, so that it would last longer. She said that if anything were to happen to my nails within 10 days of getting them done, that I could come back to the salon to have them fixed for free. Well, 5 days after having the manicure done, one nail chipped and one nail actually broke, so I went back immediately to have them fixed. I could tell the nail tech was being extra meticulous with my nails, which I appreciated. However, another 4 days later and again I have one chipped and one broken nail! This is just unacceptable for dip powder and/or gel. Also, the pedicure was rushed and subpar. The nail tech did not offer to cut my toenails down or anything. Went with two friends today and it was basically empty. We asked if there was any wait for three pedicures and they said no, we can pick a color and get started immediately. My one friend got started after 5-10 minutes, while my other friend and I sat and waited. My second friend started getting help after THIRTY minutes (meanwhile my first friend was almost done), and I was left still waiting. I waited another 20 minutes before finally asking when I would be helped, and they said they were short staffed and I wouldn't be started until the girl was done doing my friends pedicure. So basically my friends would have to sit here and wait for me to get my entire pedicure. There are easily 4-5 other nail spas on Main Street- they told us there was no wait and totally lied. So now I've spent an hour waiting for nothing and am walking out angry with no pedicure. Would give zero stars if I could. I went because the usual salon I go to was closed, it was my first time going, my nails were healthy and everything was fine at the time so when I went to take the nail polish off because I had it on for maybe 2-3 weeks and white gets dirty quickly I noticed that my toe was yellow I didn't think much of it since it was in a small area so I went back then after I got home with fresh nails and got into the shower my toe felt tingly so I got out and took the nail polish off my big toe and noticed it had spread so when i went to clean it underneath it felt as though it had popped off so I started using a nail clipper to take it off and then I had half a toe nail, besides that the customer service is 10/10. read more

I went here years ago for eyebrow waxing and since I remembered them being very sociable, I took a chance on they're gel mani for a decent price of $25. Big mistake. When I first walked in I was attacked with "pick a color!!" Wow, it was quite accosting. So being yelled at first thing i proceeded to sit with my coat on and started looking at colors with my cell phone flashlight since the whole row of ceiling spotlights were turned off where the couch seating was. They started to get annoyed I was taking too long, but it was hard to see the colors in the dark. Finally I took off my coat and took a rolling chair over to where the light was. They didn't have anything close to the color I wanted. A lot of Tired choices. Finally I just picked something neutral. It was probably pretty Old because it was quite thick & gloppy. I noticed others' gel polishes were also gloppy when applying it to the other girl. While sitting there I started to notice the heat was barely on and then one of the outlets cut out while I was sitting there under the l.e.d. light and he had to change the plug to a different outlet! The original girl who started cutting my real nails down didn't ask what I wanted and just started filing; crooked too. I stopped her and told her not to file down anymore. Then the man sitting next to her said he'd take over. He started to cut the cuticles but didn't bother putting oil or even push them back. The polish was loaded on quite thick and my nail beds looked quite boxy since they didn't push back the cuticle for shaping. I would not recommend or go back. I'd love to get a redo but I rather wait until it gets warmer since they can't afford to heat the place. I just tipped and ran the hell outta that nightmare read more

I can't get enough of Euphoria! Since they have opened up in Manayunk, I have gone back for manis, pedis, eyebrows, etc. The staff there is always welcoming and nice to talk to.
