In addition to her being amazing at installing extensions, the quality of her hair is NEXT level. Please, don't get me wrong, I understand people may run off when the service is good and it protects the stylist, but what about the customer that works just as hard for their money to not to get the proper services done. She had to braid my hair and the braids were not small enough and puffy. When the wig was placed on my head, it sat on my head like a hat.(she said the wig was too big) She then proceeded to cut up my wig without placing it on my head first. She used this old glue to which looked like it was for arts and crafts and not hair. She put tons of it on me. She then asked me to hold down my sides, while she proceeded to sew my wig to my scalp! I asked her what she was doing and she says it gives her clients extra security. Well even before I left the wig was coming up! You could see the wig front line because she cut the net all the way to the scalp of the wig so you really couldn't blend it with makeup if you tried. I left her shop hurt, disappointed, disgusted and downright angry that I spent $150 BEFORE this catastrophic experience took place only to have to take it out tomorrow and get it re-done! Some people should just say I can't do those and let it be.  I sat in my car and damn near balled my eyes out for at least an hour. I am down here working and finally proved this is the reason I don't let people do my hair! I would not recommend her for lace front wig installs. My co-workers were all appalled and pissed off right along with me. Although, they had some choice words and said the  things they would have done, but unfortunately I am working and getting locked-up or losing my job is not my plans!  STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS WHEN IT COMES TO LACE FRONT INSTALLS!! THE OWNER EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME SHE IS THE BEST! Well, if she is the best...... please give me mediocre or the worst! I hope my real hair isn't too damaged. The respectable thing would be to return half of the money, because the pictures shown, if given the opportunity to show another styling professional would say this is not good. Laderica was prepared with the hair laid out and we started on time. While doing my hair with the style that I requested, she informed me that because my hair is super straight (from a relaxer) it wasn't curling with the Spring twists. Laderica's a main concern was that I was happy with the outcome of my hair. She was about 3/4 of the way done and she just wasn't happy with how it the mapping twists were looking on me. She then showed me how the Butterfly lock would look and asked if I would like to switch to that style to get the best outcome and most protection for my hair. I was so impressed with her sincere desire to make me happy. Once my hair was done I was very happy with the butterfly locks. I will be a long term customer and highly recommend Braid Junkie.

I explained my haircare routine: I do not use any chemical processes or heat styling. I avoid products with sulfates, sulfides, parabens, or heavy oils. I also let her know I have a severe allergy to Argan oil. My hair is 90-95% gray. To be fair, I knew the ends were dry, and buildup from styling products had caused some yellowing. I had recently begun using Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo and CURLSMITH - Double Cream Deep Quencher - Vegan Moisturising Deep Conditioner to address these issues. On July 7 at 2:58 pm, I spoke with Christy on the phone and reiterated what I said in my text, I was looking for a TRIM. Based on our conversation and her 5-star reviews, I scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I arrived, Christy repeatedly told me the ends of my hair were "dead" and all needed to be cut off. Then, with complete disregard for the TRIM I requested, she began cutting off what appeared to be at least 3-4 inches of hair. I told her no fewer than two times that I was VERY concerned with the amount of hair she was cutting off. Again, she said my ends were "dead". I again expressed concern at how much she was cutting off. She then stretched my curly hair in her hand and said, "To me, it still looks the same length." Anyone with African American hair knows that when we cut off two inches of our hair while it is wet, as the hair dries and curls up again, it looks like twice as much hair has been cut off. I walked into Exquisite Styles with hair that was almost to my shoulders (when completely dry). I now have hair that does not even reach my earlobes. If a zero-star rating were possible on Yelp, that is how I would rate what was done to my hair.
