Don't expect clear communication about the pricing. Instead of being told what I was going to pay, I was asked twice if I had read the website. The website includes photos, and four tabs. One of the tabs is services and that does include pricing. The fault is mine for not reading more carefully. That being said, the person doing my service literally never said a number. If you are willing to charge that much, you should be willing to say it out loud to your client. I was told I had to submit a deposit for half of my appointment. When I looked back, I only had to submit a deposit of $89 which was half of my $178 for partial highlights. This didn't help me to realize I'd be charged an extra $550 for my haircut. It was a cruel shock to leave with my hair looking nice to realize my total for the day was $728. Again, the fault is mine for not reading all of the website more carefully, but I hope no one else has to have this cruel shock. This salon is not willing to use spoken words to convey their fees. You will only get this information from the website. This is a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy.

As for the cut, she knows I like to keep my hair low-maintenance with ability to curl, wave, or straighten my hair. Her work is consistent. Hannah's super easy to chat with as well, and I appreciate that she asks how my child's doing each time. We both love music and travel, and most of our convos are around those two topics.

From the start, I communicated my concerns clearly and politely, expressing that the highlights didn't turn out the way I had hoped. I was told I could come back to have more highlights added, especially on my new growth, and while I was initially willing to give her a second chance, things only went downhill from there. Upon my appointment, I was only charged for the haircut and the products used, with the understanding that I would pay the remaining balance when the job was finished. The next day, however, I received a call from Kersten saying that she felt unable to achieve the results I wanted and suggested I find another stylist. This is completely unprofessional--no experienced or competent stylist would simply give up on a client's request like that. Instead of working with me to fix the issue, she abandoned me with dark roots that were left visible for four inches and avoided highlighting my bangs altogether. The result looked nothing like the blended, sun-kissed highlights I requested; instead, I was left with a harsh, dark rooted look that was far from what I asked for. I have never encountered a stylist so unwilling to correct a mistake, especially when it could have been easily fixed with a few additional highlights. The lack of effort and unwillingness to ensure my satisfaction was beyond frustrating. I would not recommend Kersten to anyone. She should have done everything in her power to make things right, but instead, she left me feeling completely ignored and dissatisfied with my hair. If I could leave 0 star review I would! To make matters worse, even the salon owner Diane failed to take any responsibility for the situation. It is clearly stated in the salon's own policy that if a client is unhappy, they will be given the opportunity to have the issue corrected. That promise was completely disregarded. Despite my efforts to address the problem respectfully and through the proper channels, no one took accountability--not even the person in charge. This is absolutely unacceptable and speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and customer care within this establishment. To allow an incompetent colorist to botch a service and then do nothing to rectify it is not only unprofessional, it's downright negligent. This entire experience was a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!!

Turning a child away at the door due to being ill-equipped and ill-prepared is something no parent should have to navigate. Our stylist Dani K. canceled on us twice in a row then called us with an attitude and she's a manager. Our next stylist, Sarah M. honestly expressed that she didn't even know how to do our daughter's hair after Audrey at the front desk assured us that we would not be canceled or rescheduled on again. Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Waiting until we arrive to turn a child away is not only cowardly and blatantly unprofessional, but it also feels incredibly targeted.
