    Fruit punch snot!

Waited over a month for an order of 4 different flavored drink mixes (cream soda, orange cream soda, fruit punch, and watermelon). I was hoping to find a nice bulk source for low calorie flavorings, but holy cow! AVOID THIS PLACE! The fruit punch smelled great when I opened it, but when I added a half tsp to a glass of water, it just congealed into a snotty mixture. It didn't dissolve at all. Still curious about the taste, I put a tiny dab of the powder on my finger and tried it. HUGE mistake! It felt like I was being chemically burned! Whatever is in this garbage, it isn't fit for consumption by any living thing. Okay, maybe something went terribly wrong with that flavor and I'll request a refund for that. Surly the others aren't that bad??? I tried the watermelon next. At least this stuff actually dissolved in water (yay we have finally managed to pass the lowest bar imaginable for drink mixing). Sadly, the taste of the powder undissolved and dissolved were both awful. A full tsp of this stuff in a small mug and it was still on par with bath water. Gross!! As for the last two cream soda flavors, I'm not even going to bother opening them. I will be requesting a full refund. Wish me luck.

My first on-line order arrived today - I'm excited!

Misleading description and on the return I have to pay shipping both ways and they take 25% off my return credit. Bad experience.

After online research, this small business was recommended for a wide variety of spices, balsamic vinegars and it didn't disappoint. Was warmly greeted, walked into a beautiful small shop loaded with things you won't find elsewhere! Enjoyed not being rushed or pressured. My experience was like winning the lottery! The owner was incredibly knowledgeable, listened to what I needed and suggested outstanding products that I'd never seen before. Fresh, natural and potent flavors! Just the selection of balsamics are worth the trip, truly! In addition to all of the above; it also has eclectic, upscale gifts, unique clothing, jewelry, cards, soaps, oils and so much more. The plaza has plenty of parking and houses a few other ethnic restaurants and spas, so it's very easy to get to during a Disneyland trip. Inside, there are tons of stuff from the Levant, spices, halal gummies, imported chocolates, homemade Dubai chocolate, and a huge selection of Turkish delights and roasted nuts made by them. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

I shopped at Produce World for probably 5 years and loved it. Produce was so fresh that one time I even brought home a live yellow jacket nestled in my romaine lettuce! They had the most amazing selection of fruits/veggies, some rare to find. The store was always bright and clean. They had a machine near the back where they made fresh juice, OJ was like $7 for a fresh 1/2 gallon and it was delish! They changed hands sometime before pandemic and I stopped in once after then, was not so impressed. They were starting to sell meat and other items. The selection didn't seem as good as it once was. Then full on lock down happened and I never went back. Today I went to Polka Deli across the street to get some pierogies and kielbasa and thought, "let's stop in and see if things are good again." THEY WERE NOT. I really thought I had walked onto the set of some scary horror movie! Was the Michael Myers Halloween theme song actually playing, or was it all in my head?? It was dark and dingy and super sketchy looking. The first row used to be loads of beautiful, healthy mushrooms. All kinds! Varieties I never saw anywhere else! Today it was a bunch of rotting, bruised apples. I made my way to the main aisle and could visibly see wilted lettuce, cabbages, and browning brussels sprouts from 6 feet away. I turned towards the potatoes, as I needed some russets. They were so small, like the size of kiwis. No way was I making baked potatoes with those! I did grab some green onions, they looked really healthy and nice. Gone are all the rare veggies and fruits they used to have. Now it's just a swap meet of citrus fruits that are going bad. I did want some cucumbers for juicing, 2 for $1. They were HUGE. I was happy. But then I looked closer and most of them were super soft and squishy and had massive dimples in them. I found 2 that looked OK and I headed to the register. This place used to have like 4 low rows of random pantry items. They have now added a bunch more rows so it's a cluster-F of high, tight, shelves filled with who knows what. I didn't explore. I wanted to get out before the serial killer that must be lurking in there got me! While I was standing in line, I saw the "Fresh OJ" station (the machine is gone) has been moved to the back left wall. The wall is dirty and gross looking. They have a sign for fresh OJ for $15.99!! No thank you! They now charge $0.50 for any card transaction (debit included) less than $10, so I paid it and went on with my day. Happy to get out unscathed. How this place is still in business is beyond me!!
