Family-owned family-run business. For us, a very convenient location...Sal is friendly and always seems to have a smile on his face. I typically have my dress shirts pressed and dry cleaned, and my dress pants dry cleaned. Competitive prices with reasonable pick-up times. The only time I had a mix up was when I asked for 2 pair of dress pants to keep their creases down the center, only to go home and find that the dress pants had been "un-creased" (not even sure if that's even a word). I gave Sal's son a heads up about the mishap - he was working the cashier that morning - he just shrugged it off. No apology. No offer to correct the mistake. If you're like me, you probably don't think much about your local dry cleaner, gas station or other "mundane" stores. What's there to think about? You drop your stuff off, they clean it and you pay them. But what I love about Nature's Way is that they've made a decision that it does matter- Sal the owner is a class act. He's friendly, he's clearly part of the community and he made the decision to use higher quality environmentally cleaning solution instead of the stuff that will kill you. I've done alterations there, he's quick-fixed a ripped pair of jeans for me (right before a trip out of town) and he's very accommodating with rush orders. He even kept the store open for me 10 minutes longer because I was stuck in traffic. read more

Excellent service - had a custom made bridesmaid's gown cleaned here, as well as several of my dress pants and shirts for work. They set reasonable expectations for when clothing would be ready, and don't harm the environment in doing so. Horrible service. They messed up a tailoring job, and the woman who works behind the counter - and did the work - refused to take responsibility for her mistake, instead becoming combative. And now, the mistake is irreversible, and I'm out the money for a nice pair of work pants. Avoid these people like the plague. They are truly awful. read more

I got 9 pairs of my jeans hemmed there. They do a great job hemming jeans there. A bit pricey (hence the 4 stars) but i trust them enough with my designer jeans to go back for more hemming work. They do push the 'original' hem on you a lot, and depending on the jeans it does look better with the original hem, but on some I didnt care if they had them, or they were too ripped so i chose not to. Without the original hem it's A LOT cheaper. I know a few coworkers that have gone here for their jeans hemming and they've been just as happy. They are very helpful, they customize each hem on each jeans, they have a little 'closet' changing room where you throw your jeans on and they measure how much to take off. It's nice to know that each one will be customized to it's style and length. read more

After being a customer of another local cleaner for many years, I decided to try the environmental approach after Nature's Way was highly recommended to me by a friend. I was not disappointed. They have provided great service in the routine weekly ritual of cleaning and pressing my shirts and did a remarkable job in the cleaning and preservation of two of my daughters wedding gowns. And their tailoring is second to none. As a sixty year resident of Lexington, I have never found any tailor who gives such attention to detail as they do. Their staff is polite and customer focused. I am a convert to this place from nearby Anton's, which I had horrible experiences with. Everytime I was in there it seemed they had lost clothes, or left them with stains on them. I was skeptical about Nature's Way and thought that their 'natural' method wouldn't be able to clean my insanely messy clothes, but they're fantastic. They have gotten out stains that I figured would never come out. I trust them with the few designer goods I own because they've never once lost anything. They're great. I do feel I should mention that there are some rare stains they can't get out. When this happens, they put a little sticky note the clothing that says basically that they couldn't get this out without potentially damaging the outfit. I like that they do this because it prevent suprises when I take this outfit out again, plus there are some stains I'd rather live with than possibly wreck the whole thing. You can go back and tell them to go ahead and try to take it out, though I have never done this. The other cool thing they do is if your outfit has fancy buttons or other jeweled things on it, they take pains to cover it up so they're not damaged in any way. I have gotten some pants hemmed there too, and agree with the reviewer before me. They do try to push original hem, but just hold your ground and take a new one if you don't care that the threads won't perfectly match. (They're not too far off, and it's rarely noticeable unless people frequently look at your feet during the course of the day.) It does save you a decent amount of money. Otherwise, I'd say their prices for alterations are comprable to the other Lexington tailors. read more

I've been with Nature's Way since it started, and I have never once regretted my choice. The first thing I ever brought in was a badly pet-stained comforter, and Nature's Way returned it in perfect condition. Everyone has always been competent, friendly and helpful. You develop a personal relationship. While they can't get out all stains, I am amazed at what they do get out as between pets and my natural clumsiness I have really given them some challenges. Alterations and repairs are first rate. Everything is on time or they let you know upfront. Of course, there are the health benefits which in my case are really important as I have a touch of asthma. I went to have a dress shortened at Nature's Way Cleaners. All seemed fine at first, the owner took the measurements, my friends and I double checked everything to make sure that the dress would not get caught on my shoes, etc. However when I picked the dress up, the length was not at all what we had origlinally decided on. It was as if they had done nothing at all! It still dragged on the floor by at least 3 inches. When I went back to have them fix the problem, I was told that it was my fault that the dress was too long because "that was the length we had agreed upon," which was completely untrue. I was also told that it was "not their fault the dress didn't fit, they just do the tailoring. It's my problem if the garment doesn't fit afterwards." I didn't cut and sew the dress myself, so I have no idea how it could've been my fault. They were unwilling to fix their error unless I paid them an additonal $40 to re-do the job that should've been done correctly in the first place. I ended up just leaving with the dress and going to another tailor in Woburn who was able to fix my dress quickly (I now had 24 hours until the event I was supposed to be wearing the outfit to) for much less than Nature's Way had charged. I've never been one to put up with anyone's BS in my life, and I didn't plan on starting here. Bottom line: DON'T BOTHER!! read more

Nature's Way has been cleaning my clothes for about 8 years now. They do a great job! My clothes come back fresh and clean, and they are able to get out a lot (but not all) of difficult stains. They use environmentally friendly cleaning agents, which are not only good for the environment, they're good for you too because you don't have to smell the residue of the harsh agents other cleaners use. I have also used them for minor alterations and have been completely satisfied with the work. They pick up and deliver, and couldn't be nicer to talk to! read more

I had some ok experiences there, and then took in my favorite dress with a stain on the back, which I asked them to mark. When I picked it up the stain looked worse and had spread, and they didn't note it until I checked, then the man got very defensive about the stain and was rude. It would have been ok if they told me it would be tough to get out, and then noted that they couldn't. Seemed like they didn't appropriately treat the stain, then didn't acknowledge their oversight let alone apologize. Never again. read more
