I didn't have the best experience here. I had a bridesmaids dress that needed to be tailored for a wedding. I'm a bit busty, but have a small waist. I had to exchange my original dress for a larger size so the the woman at this establishment could take fabric out since she said she couldn't add any to the original size I got. Fast forward to the time of getting it tailored. I was charged $115, and the dress was still too big on me. I was in a time crunch and couldn't explore other options or dispute the lack of quality of work, but I spent way too much for a job not well done. She said she couldn't take out more fabric because of the style of dress, but when I went to the wedding (swimming in the dress, mind you) I ran into a seamstress that was invited who ended up pinning my dress in the back and saying how easy of a fix it would have been. On top of it all, tailored outfits can only be paid in cash. I live in Georgia and had to fly in for the wedding and pick up my dress, and honestly forgot about this policy, but it doesn't really make sense since there is a sign that clear says "major credit cards accepted". She kindly took my card, but I could tell it was an issue. I don't think I'll be back- I definitely paid a lot for for adjustments that weren't made and excuses for not doing the work. read more

Personally, I had experienced an awesome services at Forest St Dry Cleaners shop since I stopped by for altering my suites and multiple repairs besides dry cleaning to wash away these clothes' stained spots. In particularly, I went in this store to get my professional suits tailoring and winter coats zipper replacement. while I expected to have them done within one week for my business trip; she actually put her efforts accomplished my zipper replacement properly and my suits being look great on me. This place can't be trusted with alterations. I left my favorite winter coat with them, for replacement or repair of the pockets. One week later, when they said it would be done, i went in to retrieve it. At that point, they informed me that they couldn't do the job. With a look of dismay, the cashier informed me that the pockets needed to be "replaced". Er, yeah, that's what I told the person who took it in and who informed me that they could do the job. Ugh. Next, I demanded my coat back. To which he replied "It's not here. It's at the cleaners". "Uh", I commented, perplexed, "I though *this* was the cleaners." Apparently, they sent it to a different cleaners to actually be worked on. Or *not* worked on, and not followed up on, as the case may be. My coat was in still-unrepaired limbo. But he assured me it would triumphantly return the next morning. Alas, return it did. In exactly the same condition in which I had surrendered it. Couldn't they have at least called me to inform me that they couldn't perform the alterations that they said they could? And not act utterly bewildered when I asked as much? It seems like a very basic element of customer service. I have no qualms with their dry cleaning, except for the fact that they apparently do not do the actual cleaning on site. But why bother returning somewhere when you've had an intensely negative customer service experience? It's not like they're the only cleaners around. Neither my beloved coat nor I shall set foot in this establishment again. read more

I rarely, if ever, leave Yelp reviews. However, I think the excellent service and quality of the tailoring here deserves recognition. I came in and requested an obnoxious and potentially very difficult job -- I had a pair of very expensive straight leg selvedge denim that I wanted tapered from the knee down. I requested that the cut be made at the inseam, in order to maintain the selvedge line, which complicates the job. I left them another pair of jeans to use as a sample for the measurements. I had a lot of anxiety simply because most run-of-the-mill tailors have a lack of familiarity with how to handle denim and my request was a little unorthodox. However, I couldn't be happier with the result of their work. They made the cut at the inseam, the stitching looked fantastic, and the newly tapered jeans had the precise measurements of the sample pair. If you are looking for a tailor who listens to your requests and can do very precise and good quality work, look no further. read more

They do a great job with the standard cleaning and also with some tough stains. I've come here about 5 times now and every time the job is done well. The owner is friendly and courteous. Specifically we had a baptism dress that my aunt made for my sister a long time ago. It was knitted. And there was something stained on there for 30 years. They took that out without harming the dress. I typically get dress pants and shirts cleaned here so my usual experience is with that and they have done well. I will upgrade to 5 stars if I continue to have good experiences. Though the work they've done so far has been 5 star work. read more

This place is excellent. The zipper on my winter coat had always been problematic- before it finally broke, it ripped the inside lining pretty badly. The coat was fairly expensive, and otherwise in good shape, so I wanted to get the zipper fixed. I brought it here and asked only that the zipper be replaced if possible. Not only did they replace the zipper for a reasonable price, but they sewed up the inside lining so well that you can't tell it was even ripped. Very excited to wear my practically brand new coat this winter! read more

This place reminds me of the old days when people cared a little more and built businesses on neighborhood trust and support. We needed about 10 items "military pressed" they were good about details and making sure we were on the same page. The work was high quality and they treat you like family. We were on a serious time constraint and I know they had to work on between 30 and 40 presses it takes a long time. The price was more than reasonable. The person at the counter was Hanna and she is genuine and concerned as is her husband (i believe) this will be our place especially now that our son will need at least four years of uniforms pressed.lol. Its across from the post office and parking can be a little work but they are worth it. I dont like to just willy nilly give 5 stars but I honestly cant think of anything they could do better so there ya go. read more

Went in to get my suit tailored/sleeves shortened. The lady in the front was very welcoming and sweet. I came in last minute telling her I didnt have a huge timeline to get my suit tailored and hemmed but it only took 3 days for me, even though i came in with a service that usually takes a week or two especially during this season of the year. Everything was perfect and the customer service was greatly appreciated.I definitely recommend going here for alteration services! read more

Hannah altered a bridesmaid dress for me. She was friendly, able to accommodate a 2 week turn around time (a lot of other places were a 4-8 week turnaround), and the alterations came out great. I needed the straps shortened, the waist taken in, and it hemmed on the bottom... in total the alterations costs $130 (in line with a lot of other prices I was seeing). I go here every 2 weeks to do my dry cleaning & she always does her best to get the stain out if not she'll redo it for free. She's really friendly & she cares about her customers satisfaction. I always tell my family & friends to go here to get their clothes dry cleaned or tailored. If you need it by a certain time , she'll get it done. One time I needed my pants hemmed to go to a meeting out of state & I told her in the morning i need it by the afternoon. She got it done with no complaints. Moved to the area a year ago and this is my go to spot for dry cleaning. I also recently brought in a dress to be hemmed. She did an excellent job! I asked that it be ready in one week for an event I was attending and she accommodated my request. The alterations were on the pricey side but I guess you pay for quality work. read more

If I could enter 0 I would. I went to this place based on their Yelp reviews. They are thieves! I had a coat that needed the zipper replaced. They told me it would cost $40.00. I got it back. I should have checked it while I was there. They maneuvered the zipper to the top and called it replaced. With a whole lot of wrangling, I can maneuver the zipper to the top. The whole point of replacing it was so it would just zip like zipper are supposed to zip. Why would I pay $40.00 just to have them get the zipper to the top? I called them and she told me she fixed it, she couldn't replace it because it was the wrong color, she did replace it, she will replace it, it isn't broken (then why charge me?) - I haven't dealt with anyone this dishonest in forever. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. There is no parking and they will rip you off. Such a distressing experience. I'm out $40.00. Lesson learned. Thieves. read more
