I did not get fully serviced at this location, but I am writing a review based on the customer service. I was in the area and one nail was lifting. If you are familiar with nails/tips, you know what this means. Usually around this time, I would make an appt. to get a 'fill in' but last Saturday, I did not have the time. I noticed this nail shop and figured I'd peek in and ask if someone could fix my nail or at least glue it back down. Well the latter was suffice without worry. I walked right in and asked for some glue, because I did not want to walk around with a broke nail eventually. I received some glue and was in and out within 20 seconds. This gentleman could have easily said no, but he did notice I needed a fill, but he helped me out. I will return soon just based on this level of customer service!! I literally came in to get polish on TWO TOES due to the polish coming off the next day and they said I have to come back another day when the person who originally did my nails here or pay $10 to have TWO nails polished because they don't want to fix a coworkers mistake WHAT?!!!! Is there a zero star option??? First the place has a dirty feel. It's my first and last visit .... while sitting having my nails done. I watched the pink foot cheese grader passed between people with no sanitation. Just a flip in the trash can to knock off the dead skin. That grossness aside, I went in for a fill in with white tips, due to lack of application process and possibly tainted acrylic powder, I had sand particles and bubbles snd unable to wear them as they appeared with clear and white tips. I had to chose a dark colored polish to hide the shitty work done. I was given the option to redo them with the same tainted powder..... basically we will do the same shit work again.... not sure how that's an option Long story short these people felt it was fair to charge full price and raise their voice at me in public..... I may be a female and you are a male. But please don't think you will shame me or belittle me for being a woman. I came for a service and didn't get what I asked for. Plain and simple.... save your money and find a better spot. I now understand why there was no wait or need for an appointment, seems like a "one and done" experience as not much repeat business due to the lack of cleanliness, knowledge of nails and below par in customer service! read more

I've gone to this place 2 times in the last year. The first time I went I got a french manicure, it lasted so long and I loved it, they did such a good job! The second time I went I just got regular paint on my nails, it only lasted a few days before it started chipping though:( Everyone that works there is so sweet and nice, and they make the visit so enjoyable, and the prices are great! read more

I had been to this shop before years ago, but I never returned. I didn't remember why but my usual shop didn't have any walk-ins for a couple hours and I needed service asap. I decided it's been awhile so maybe it'll be better. The only thing good so far is that my polish is holding on quite nicely. The problems I had were 1. I was never asked what pedicure I wanted. 2. The water was less than lukewarm and I asked for it hotter and it still didn't get warm. 3. My tech didn't even act slightly interested in making me feel relaxed. 4. The pedicure was all of 35 minutes long. 5. My feel were in the water for all of 15 minutes. My tech seemed annoyed when I asked for anything until he got his tip he was much more pleasant and aware that I existed. I again won't be back. read more

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT request rainbow nails unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Apparently every polish over two warrants an additional charge. I took my young nieces today as a treat and they asked for rainbow nails. I paid $20 PER CHILD more than I should have. They didn't explain this to me (nor was this policy on their price list) until the service was completed. They knew exactly what they were doing And they were very smug in how they handled the situation. Also may I add that everyone doesn't necessarily understand how a nail salon works - nobody should assume that people know extra polishes cost extra. It's a real shame when a business acts as though they aren't afraid to lose business. I'm still smiling though because I had a great day with my nieces. I'll just never go there again. read more

The owners daughter did my nails and she did an excellent job!!! The service was great she was very helpful with the questions I had and also helping me pick a color. I got gel acrylic with chrome on top which gives my nails the perfect shine ;) I also got my piglets done (and yes I call my toes piglets lol) and they also came out nice. Not to mention the pricing wasn't that bad noting I did get gel on my toes and hands and I got them coffin shaped with chrome so my total was $103 which I think was not so bad. NEVER AGAIN! I have been there many times, the results, service, and price are always hit-and-miss... but after the horror I faced tonight I will never be back. I stopped by on my way home from work to get a full set first the lady caked on the acrylic powder encasing the tips and essentially gluing them to my fingers, (she also nearly filed right through the top of my right thumb nail leaving a dark red line) then as if that wasn't bad enough she used those things I have always known as cuticle scissors to try and remove the excess acrylic from under my nails... she stabbed me several times and was tearing at my skin as she was trying to peel and yank it away. I was literally bleeding under several of my nails and crying when another customer walked in and then (and only then) the manager came over to see what was going on. I showed him and asked if he could please finish my nails... it took him an hour and forty-five minutes to make my nails look half decent. He admitted it was horrific and told me he was fixing them because his employee did this and he was responsible to. He said if anyone had come through the door with their nails in that condition he would have sent them away. It was gruesome and painful... and to top it all off he still charged me... Needless to say I didn't leave a tip and will never be going back. But here is a tip for you, don't put open bleeding wounds in a bowl of acetone, it really stings. read more

I've been here many times over the years since Nauti Nails opened with varying quality of service. Usually the pedicures are adequate or even great, but my most recent visits are discouraging. There was one occasion where my nail tech did not speak any English and neatly (not nearly) sliced my calf with a nail file and today, the tech rushed through the pedicure, skipping steps like not pushing/trimming the cuticles and barely scrubbing the calluses on my feet. The painting was also rushed and because I brought in my own polish, I elected to do my own touch up at the drying fans. I also discovered a ton of excess oil on my legs at the drying fans. I have no immediate plans to return. read more

The lady did my nails & feet horribly. I went there to get my nails & feet done for prom. They had just opened when I arrived and the wife had told me she was going to be doing my nails. We shared a few brief convos she told me that they (her & her husband) had owned a few salons in the area, so I was quite impressed. When she started to do my nails I felt like she put too much acrylic on them & didn't file them down enough. They were really bulky & didn't look natural. She told me she had been doing nails for 20+ years & it surely didn't look like it. Then when she applied the paint (this should've been the easy part) paint was all over my skin, some paint was a different shade than the other because of the extra coats. I would advise going somewhere else. The only reason I considered going here was because of the reviews but, I guess to each its own. I really hated my nails. My feet were okay but not spectacular. The prices at this place are good, but it should be for the quality of their work. The people are really nice and maybe the lady that did my nails & feet really wasn't experienced with her 20+ years of experience after all. However if you do decide to go, I would advise not getting the wife to do watever you need done! read more

On May 3, my daughter and I walked in to at 6 pm. I wanted a padi and my daughter wanted a mami padi. They finished my padi at 8, charged me 60 dollars because I got the cat eye gel, padi was a spa padi and I totally expected to pay a little more for that. But I think that if there is an addition charge for the cat eye, they should have told me that. After all, this was the first time I'd ever been to this shop and it will be the last. They don't line the foot bath and they did not really clean it to what I thought the standard should be. Spraying a solution and then rinsing do not count. Will not be going back. Dirty, sloppy work, nasty attitudes to customers. Dirty utensils. Not sure who is the owner, because they all claim to be. The pair of sisters that work there are the absolute worst. They talk about personal issues, talk about customers and laugh. Not respectful at all. They did great work when first opened, steadily gone down hill. Went here with my five year old daughter a couple weeks ago and I had an excellent experience! Very friendly staff, clean and inviting environment and everything they use smells like pineapple, lol. (Handsoap, lotions, and post waxing treatment etc etc.) Waxing is done in a relaxing private room. I had my eyebrows done and the woman did a beautiful job. My uv gel nails came out glossy and perfect. My daughter had her nails painted with designs, the nail tech was super attentive and friendly and did a great job! My daughter was beaming after her "Frozen" themed mani :) Prices are very reasonable! Only negative thing I can say is that they charge you an extra $3 to clip your nails when you go in for a fill. Every other nail salon I've ever been to includes that as typical maintenance with a fill in visit. Overall it's five star service! Appealing atmosphere, excellent service, affordable prices. I don't foresee myself going anywhere else in the near future :) read more

The owner doesn't know how to apply acrylic neatly. Lays it on too thick. He skips steps when filing and shaping. I came in with almond shaped nails. Two were broken. Those two nails he repaired don't look anything like my other nails. Instead of fixing his mistake, he said my fingers were crooked. There was only one scrub brush per sink. Unsanitary. I paid for his work he had done but I left before he could paint my nails. I went to another nail salon to correct his mistakes. Which means more money spent. read more

Great selection of colors but very overpriced. For a shellac manicure I was charged $35. I feel like that would be the price at a higher end salon. I asked if a manicure was included and was told yes. Then at checkout was told that it was $12. So the $35 included a $12 manicure and $5 removal of shellac polish. I had never even heard of being charged for removal of polish. I only went here for convenience, never again will I get robbed. Nicer salons generally include a manicure and removal of polish in the set price which is around $20 to $27. And my polish ended up chipping. read more

Great experience here. I have only been once, but will definitely be going back. A younger guy (not sure of his name) did my gel manicure and I would definitely ask for him again. He seemed to actually care if I liked his work and was a pleasure to chat with. The only down side I would say is that the shop was a little disheveled (not dirty), maybe because I went in later in the afternoon though. When visiting my daughter, we went for pedicures. The experience was anything but pleasurable. The woman who gave me a "spa pedicure" was extremely unprofessional, paying more attention to who was coming through the door. She seemed not to know what she was doing and I wonder if she even was licensed. I asked her to cut my nails, she tried using a file without cutting them. It was by far the worst pedicure I have ever had. Would never recommend the salon to anyone. read more

Disappointed with the owner who bosses his staff around and made me wait after I requested a technician, he allowed 2 pedicures ahead of me. I only waited because I felt sorry for technician and she does my nails well. I have gone to the shop a few times. Morgan did my nails as recommended by a friend and she did great each time. The last time I went was for my 21st birthday. I got a gel set. This time I went the owner did them. At first he was really pleasant and we kept a good conversation. As he was doing the nails I noticed that he was doing them differently than Morgan had done. I mentioned that and he said oh this is a better way to get it done so it's OK. So I just continued to let him do what he was doing. Also during conversation he was adamantly letting me know that he had been in business for 27 years he mentioned different salons he had owned and that he took pride in customer service.. yeah right. I'm not sure where his 27 years of experience was actually in because it's not nails. When I left I noticed how uneven they were. I didn't have time to go back because as I said earlier it was my 21st birthday and I had made plans. I got them done on a Saturday and they're closed on Sundays so I had to wait until Monday. I came back as soon as I could Monday after my classes. When I walked in he greeted me with a smile and said hey I said hey and mentioned everything that was wrong with my nails (the unevenness, The bad paint) he proceeded to tell me that I should've noticed that before I left and that because they're not THAT uneven all he would do is paint them again. Mind you he told me the paint that I chose wasn't good but he was only going to repaint it with that and if I wanted better paint I had to pay an extra $20 (on top of the $33 I already paid). His whole demeanor changed from being kind to a complete a hole. At that point I was done arguing and just said I would like my money back because I see no signs that say no refunds therefore I would like my money back. He then proceeded to tell me that he would not give me my money back because "the nails are not that bad and I should've chose better paint". So with this experience I really do not recommend anyone go to this nail salon because the customer service is absolute trash and theyll be sure to make you feel horrible and not like a valued customer. Which is also contradictory since their business card says "our reputation is on your hands". Hope this is a good enough statement to suede ANYONE from getting services done here. ALSO, I had a friend with me who got her eyebrows done. They were done unevenly and the lady left a lot of straggly hair. Like she completely missed a few sections. The lady did them again while we were there (cause I was getting my nails done by the a hole) but they were still noticeably uneven. I've been a customer of Steve and Lisa's for nearly 20 years. I have followed them all over the 757. But, yesterday, 4/24/15, I had the worst experience ever. I go in for a pedi and my regular fill in and Morgan, daughter of the owners, does a wonderful job as usual. However, when it's time to pay I hear Steve say twenty, but, I didn't really pay it any attention. I get the slip to sign and was billed $20. I asked Morgan why she didn't charge for my nails and she said I did. So, I informed her that I wasn't charged for my pedi. After thinking about it, I asked why I was being charged $20.00 for a fill and Steve informs me it was because of the length of my nail. So, I inform Steve that my nails have been waaaay longer and I've never paid more than $16 for a fill. Honestly, normally my fill in's were just $13. Needless to say, I was pissed. I paid, but, I was pissed. So, as Morgan is doing my polish she apologizes and says she's not sure why her dad charged so much for my fill. I told her it was cool. I've been loyal to their business for years and if this is how you treat loyal customers then that's fine. I will not return. Well, Morgan tells her dad that I said I would not be returning. After my polish is done Steve tells Morgan not to put the top coat on because he was going to give me a design. First off I do not get designs on my nails, secondly, how can you give me a design, but, not ask me if I want it. Although, Morgan apologized profusely I cannot accept substandard customer service. Steve was already upset because I shared my displeasure with my pervious pedicure tech. Honestly, $20 for a fill is ridiculous. I will miss Morgan & Lisa (Steve's wife) but, I will have to find a new nail salon. read more

I've been to this salon a number of times and like others have mentioned, some take pride in their work. My nails always looked great when I left there. But unfortunately, every time I went in, attitude seems to be the problem. They gave me the "I really don't care if you get your nails done here or not" attitude. The last time I tried to make an appointment for a weekday (they won't make them on Saturday - understandable) figuring it would help - instead of dropping in. I got an even worse attitude over the phone. That was it! As a paying customer that tips well, I don't deserve that kind of treatment. They even charge more than others. So I took my business elsewhere and I'm very pleased with the prices, the service and the attitudes. read more

I'm new to Suffolk... but not new to getting my nails done. This place was horrible!!! Short staffed (only 2 people were working) and incompetent work that was performed. I had gel applied over my nails. I wanted to have my gel nails removed and just wanted a manicure with clear polish applied~~ easy day... right?? Heck no!!! The guy who worked on me tried to chat with me and I told him what I wanted. He used his drill to go over my nails. Now, I know that after this procedure, that my nails needed to have acetone applied to remove the remain traces of the gel on the nails-- this person did NOT do this. He did the quickest and most inept manicure I have EVER had. Not all of the gel was removed... and he proceeded to polish my nails with the pieces of gel still on my nail. I was incredulous- and said "there is still gel on my nails"... he looked lost. There were many women waiting and I think he was rushing to seat the other women waiting. I just said... whatever,,, just finish it. So, he went ahead and placed the clear polish over my nails (with still had obvious pieces of the gel showing). He only placed ONE coat of the nail polish on my nails and went off to start a pedicure on another client. I look at my nails and see this large bump (gel) on one nail and I peel if off. The only other worker (a female) comes over and says that she needs to collect the money for having my nails done. I told her that there was gel still on my nails. She asks the guy (who I think was the owner or manage) what she needed to do next... she asks me "did you tell him you wanted the gel nails removed before he put on the polish. I was too through after this... what kinda salon is this? I did not make a scene... because I knew I could warn others from going to this joke of a nail salon. If you want expert nail services, please DO NOT GO to this place. I paid these crooks $12.00 of my hard earned cash... and I do not want anyone else to suffer going to this HORRIBLE place. My wife has been to this salon a few times for pedicures and always come out very happy, but she recently went in for a manicure for a wedding and splurged for the gel coat. She had heard that gel coats should last 2 weeks or so. Five days after the wedding the gel coat was starting to come up on a few of her fingers so she stopped in to see if they could fix them. The girl that worked on her nails was not the same girl that had done them in the first place and she seemed to have an attitude, like she did not want to be there working and especially not doing a fix. She thinks this was one of the owners daughters and she did a half ass job fixing her nails. She ripped the gel coat off (as opposed to soaking them like the second lady did) and didn't file & buff the nail bed well enough and it left a white mark on a few of her nails. She continued to finish the french tips with this white spot in place. When asked about the spot she made excuses that she wasn't the one that did them in the first place, that everyone does french tips differently, and that it was just a part of her nail. This spot was NOT on her nail when she got them initially done. My wife was really not happy with her nails nor the service she received. At this point my wife now just wanted all the nails off. When she spoke to the owner about fixing this problem his daughter replied "You'll have to wait for (the lady who did them the first time)." She was mad that my wife had questioned her nail work. My wife waited and ended up having all her french tips removed (since they now did not all look the same) and had them just put a color on with no gel coat. Before they were painted the owner came over to look at the white spots and also said they were on my wife's nail bed, but he took a rough file to them and buffed it out and low and behold the white spot came OFF!!! Now why that couldn't have been done in the first place is beyond me. In a service oriented industry you should want your clients to walk out happy and satisfied. This did not happen for my wife and we will no longer be giving this salon our business. read more
