The food is good, but nothing special and a little pricey. I know rent is high in that area so I can't blame them for the high prices. I tried the birria ramen and I would recommend pouring in very little broth to the noodles. The broth flavor overwhelmed everything else in the bowl and honestly was not a good experience, I wouldn't get that again. I also got the cucumber drink and enjoyed that with the spicy food. Our girls (10 and 12) have fallen in love with Birria tacos and whenever we find a spot that has it on the menu we have to stop in and try. After discovering Little Minor Tacos we have been there 3 times. Was in Rockville and had been wanting to try this place for a while because it's halal! I parked in the nearby garage c (free parking for 0-2 hours) and walked past Paris baguette here. Empty around noon but people were walking in for to-go orders. Ordering is done at the kiosk, it seems like staff is more there for just preparing and packing the orders but they'll answer questions. The place is nice and clean and I love the colorful walls and lights. The tacos are halal and yummy ! On a dark and stormy Rockville evening, we found ourselves in the bright confines of Little Miner Taco looking at a menu that offered tacos, burritos, and...ramen? No matter - we got the chicken "munchwrap" some assorted tacos and a side of rice and beans. And it all hit the spot. The munch wrap is essentially a pressed quesadilla-type torta. But no need to describe it other than delicious! The warm chicken paired well with fresh and crispy lettuce and tomato - very filling. And the tacos (we got shrimp and mushroom) were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. Of course, the rice and beans hit the spot, too. I had an almost perfect experience at Little Miner Taco in Rockville Town Square. As a vegan their meals are so close to perfect. I just wish they could have a creamy vegan sauce option to substitute for the dairy in their meals. I ordered the mushroom street tacos and custom made a vegetable burrito. All my orders were placed on their touchpad Kiosk. I really liked being able to order from the Kiosk to ensure that all my dairy restrictions were selected and there was no miscommunication during ordering. For the tacos I had to make sure there was no cheese included on the taco. My order came out just as requested. I LOVED the corn tortilla. It was soft and also thick enough that it stayed together as I was enjoying my taco. I thought the fillings were hearty and there were a lot of positives to this taco. My only critique is that the taco overall had a deep flavor that I wished was balanced with something creamy. Normally this taco is served with cheese which would probably mellow out some of the flavor. For vegans it would be nice to have an option to add a vegan cheese or vegan sour cream to balance the flavors better. I loved my vegetable burrito significantly more than the taco. l thought for the price it was a way better buy. The tortilla was nicely grilled and it was stuffed well with ingredients. My only critique was that the burrito was dry and really needed a sauce to pull all the ingredients together. They did give me a sauce on the side however it was not vegan so I could not use it. Again, it would be great if Little Miner could either have a vegan cheese or vegan sour cream to make their vegan options more outstanding. Overall I would go back to try the burrito again and maybe splurge to add guacamole. I enjoyed a lot about my experience, and also think there is room for improvement to please the vegan customers. read more

Finally checked this place out and it didn't disappoint! As a California native, my taco standards are high. These weren't the very best I've had in California, but they were still very good. I ordered three street tacos: shrimp, chicken tinga, and chicken, and asked for no aioli on those that came with it. The tortillas were fresh and homemade, and the salsas were excellent. I tried habanero, salsa verde, and tomatillo from the salsa bar. All were very good. My son had a quesadilla and chips. He said the quesadilla was one of his favorites. Sadly no photos yet as I continually eat everything well before thinking about it, but Little Miner Taco has easily become one of my favorite places to eat, and probably my favorite Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant in the DMV. I had a rough start when they first came into town with not vibing with the burritos that have the French fries in them - good, but just way too much food for me to consume. But then I fell in love with the Munch Wraps and the Chicken Tinga "pizza". Always with a side of the corn and a Mexican coke. The combination of flavors is a party in my mouth I am never disappointed with. My partner loves the nachos, of which a small is large enough for 2 people easily for a meal. I've also ordered catering from them, which was awesome and well received by the folks I hyped up about it. I have probably visited this restaurant 10 times in the last year, but for some reason, never reviewed it. It's too bad, because this place is worth a good review. The food is fresh, the people cooking it take pride in their work, and everybody on the staff is friendly. This is a brick-and-mortar version of their food truck, and I'm guessing has the same food. Everything I've tried is excellent. I've brought my adult kids with me when they want dinner and I didn't want to cook, and they were happy. One note is that they have a happy hour between 4 PM and 6 PM Monday through Thursday. Select tacos are three dollars each, and worth double the price. If you're not sure about trying it, try them during happy hour to see if you like them, and then come back whenever you feel the urge to enjoy Tex-Mex style tacos. read more

I tried the Birria taco with consommé and a lengua taco. I really enjoyed both tacos! The lengua was delicious and came in huge chunks, while the Birria taco was tender and flavorful.
