    Birria De Res Loaded Fries

Our girls (10 and 12) have fallen in love with Birria tacos and whenever we find a spot that has it on the menu we have to stop in and try. After discovering Little Minor Tacos we have been there 3 times. So far we have tried: - Birria De Res Quesotacos - Birria De Res Loaded Fries - Tres Leches Cake The Birria tacos were really good so on one of our follow up trips we got the Birria De Res Loaded Fries and our minds and taste buds were blown. It was really good. My mind was thinking..."how many calories are in this dish"....and my mouth was saying "shut up and keep eating". The inside is really nice, colorful and inviting and they have outdoor seating also. Ordering is done through the kiosk. The staff are really friendly. I would highly recommend you check it out.

We had it delivered & it was still delicious! My grilled shrimp tacos were simple w fresh flavors - hand made corn tortillas too. But the carne asada queso tacos were divine!! Rice & beans with the street corn were made with love as well. I bet the mole is delicious- that's next

Love coming back to Little Miner Taco any chance I can. I am never disappointed by the food or the service. The restaurant is always clean and I like their new salsa bar, as well. The restaurant is entirely cash free.

Was in Rockville and had been wanting to try this place for a while because it's halal! I parked in the nearby garage c (free parking for 0-2 hours) and walked past Paris baguette here. Empty around noon but people were walking in for to-go orders. Ordering is done at the kiosk, it seems like staff is more there for just preparing and packing the orders but they'll answer questions. The place is nice and clean and I love the colorful walls and lights. The tacos are halal and yummy ! I feel they lack a bit of flavor but the consommé and lime juice makes up for it and adds flavor in. I'd come again if I'm in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Little Miner Taco - Gym Gains & Birria Munchwraps! After a solid gym session, Jasmine and I were starving and craving tacos. I hopped on UberEats for a quick pickup and saw a BOGO deal on the Birria de Res Munchwraps--no way I was passing that up! When we got to Little Miner Taco in Rockville Town Center, the spot was clean, cute, and had a chill vibe. We grabbed our order and dug in. The munchwraps were fire--crispy, cheesy, and packed with juicy birria. Definitely hit the spot after a workout. The loaded fries were solid too. For a BOGO deal, this was 100% worth it. If you're ever craving tacos (or just an excuse to eat something amazing after the gym), Little Miner Taco is a must.

On a dark and stormy Rockville evening, we found ourselves in the bright confines of Little Miner Taco looking at a menu that offered tacos, burritos, and...ramen? No matter - we got the chicken "munchwrap" some assorted tacos and a side of rice and beans. And it all hit the spot. The munch wrap is essentially a pressed quesadilla-type torta. But no need to describe it other than delicious! The warm chicken paired well with fresh and crispy lettuce and tomato - very filling. And the tacos (we got shrimp and mushroom) were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. Of course, the rice and beans hit the spot, too. Once you get past the menu's quirks (munchwrap vs. quesotaco vs. ramen? Don't worry, the friendly staff are more than happy to walk you through it all.) the food is worth the wait. Next time, I'm gonna try the ramen. Little Miner is bringing their A-game to the town square. Stop in and give this place a try!

My apologies. I told you a few weeks ago (below) that they have street tacos for $3 each on Tuesdays. They called it Street Taco Tuesday. Apparently that isn't correct. Little Miner Taco in Rockville has a special every Tuesday, but it is a different special. Today, the special was 2 mahi mahi tacos for $10. So, check ahead on the specials.

I had an almost perfect experience at Little Miner Taco in Rockville Town Square. As a vegan their meals are so close to perfect. I just wish they could have a creamy vegan sauce option to substitute for the dairy in their meals. I ordered the mushroom street tacos and custom made a vegetable burrito. All my orders were placed on their touchpad Kiosk. I really liked being able to order from the Kiosk to ensure that all my dairy restrictions were selected and there was no miscommunication during ordering. For the tacos I had to make sure there was no cheese included on the taco. My order came out just as requested. I LOVED the corn tortilla. It was soft and also thick enough that it stayed together as I was enjoying my taco. I thought the fillings were hearty and there were a lot of positives to this taco. My only critique is that the taco overall had a deep flavor that I wished was balanced with something creamy. Normally this taco is served with cheese which would probably mellow out some of the flavor. For vegans it would be nice to have an option to add a vegan cheese or vegan sour cream to balance the flavors better. I loved my vegetable burrito significantly more than the taco. l thought for the price it was a way better buy. The tortilla was nicely grilled and it was stuffed well with ingredients. My only critique was that the burrito was dry and really needed a sauce to pull all the ingredients together. They did give me a sauce on the side however it was not vegan so I could not use it. Again, it would be great if Little Miner could either have a vegan cheese or vegan sour cream to make their vegan options more outstanding. Overall I would go back to try the burrito again and maybe splurge to add guacamole. I enjoyed a lot about my experience, and also think there is room for improvement to please the vegan customers.

Food was alright; I was surprised that the tacos didn't already come with green and red salsa and that you must pay to get some. I didn't know the tacos came with jalapeño peppers here but I'd have preferred without. I'm used to tacos being $2-3 each with the complimentary salsa. The meat wasn't bad but I'm not sure if it's a top tier recommend from me based off the tacos I got. There was also no horchata when I got there :/ I think for my personal taste with tacos, I will stick to Silver Spring and other places but if I'm in the area again, maybe I'll give the other food a try.

Nice concept. When you get there you just go up to the kiosk to order and when ready the staff just calls you and you grab your food. The food came out pretty quick and the price was reasonable. We got two street tacos and that was plenty for me. The tacos themselves were well made and had some great flavor. Would love to have one of these back home. The restaurant itself is also well designed and decorated.

Nice and bright interior. Contactless ordering, so go to the kiosk on the left as you enter to order and they will call your number. Went on a weekday for a quick lunch. Wasn't too busy, so we got our orders fast. The tacos were solid, nothing special or great, but the Birria de Res Quesotacos I've been waiting to try was solid soggy before dipping and was falling apart. Only issue for me is that I didn't see the value... about $45 for 7 tacos for 2 people weren't filling. Even the "meal" only comes with 3 tacos and no sides. Others said these are big portions and 2 tacos were enough for them must not like to eat. I ate 3 tacos and went somewhere else to grab food after! I did see that they have a happy hour with $3 street tacos, so that might be the only time I go back if I do. I would say 2.5 stars but I'm rounding down for value and the mess on my hands after eating the Birria de Res Quesotacos!

Not fancy, but nice and comfortable tables with huge umbrellas to block the sun. The food here is good. In the past, we got the Platter for 2 ($27), which is a nice sized platter of wood fire grilled steak, chicken, sausage and shrimp with rice/beans/salad and tortillas. We couldn't finish it all and it was all delicious. No complimentary chips and salsa for the table, so tonight we ordered chips and guac to start. The guac was good with chunks of tomato, onion and avocado; it would have been nice to also get some salsa with it when you order the guac, but there's a separate charge for chips/salsa. For entrees, we got a Carne En Vara and Carne Asada. The En Vara is a skewer of chicken, beef, onion and green peppers, with rice/beans and a side order of arepitas (corn fritter). Everything was well prepared. I liked the arepitas. The Asada was a decent piece of beef that was well prepared. Came with rice and beans and flour tortillas. The service was very good. We were seated and received ice water promptly. The guac came out quickly as did the entrees, but not rushed. The server came by a couple of times to see how we were doing snd she refilled our waters. This is a "Latin" restaurant, and maybe I'm used to the ubiquitous Mexican restaurants that place salsa on the table, and I will say I missed it and didn't want to have to spend $3.95 for salsa. There were a couple of times when I would have liked to dip some of the meat into a sauce/salsa. They do put a bottle of Habanero hot sauce on the table when you sit down. The entrees tonight were good, but if you want to try the fire grilled meats, for value I recommend the Platter for 2.

Overall, I cannot complain about the food, quality, service and price. Tacos will typically run $3-$4, which is a bit standard for the area, and they are loaded with plenty of fixings. Also, Trippy has daily specials for certain items on the menu. For small place, the restaurant has a pretty extensive Tex-Mex menu, so I think everyone should find something that they'll like. Although the restaurant has some seating, this place is more of a take-out spot. One tip: I highly recommend ordering before arriving to Trippy Taco, so you can simply grab and go. Unfortunately, parking is a bit limited and tight (like most places in this area). While the food, service and prices are pretty good, I'll admit that I would not go too far out of my way to visit since there are no shortage of Tex-Mex spots in the area. But, it's a great spot to check out on your way from Point A to Point B. Usually, I visit on my way home from the gym (to undo the benefits of my workout).

Pictures are from when I got home with my food. Needless to say, for $32 or so (which includes a 20% tip), I had enough food for 3 meals. The Gorditas, while not necessarily healthy, definitely fill you up. The Tacos Dorados were very good for a late night, post drinking (water, of course!), dinner, and the chicken tacos were excellent for a next-day lunch. Accompanying my food were two different sauces -- a red sauce that did not have much flavor, but was scorching hot on the palette and a green sauce that was very tasty and moderate in heat. We asked for the spicy sauce to be taken off our fish tacos. Luckily, the hostess who took the order noticed right away, that it was made incorrectly. So, it had to be redone. We asked for pico de gayo to replace the sauce and the fish tacos were drowned in the pico. It should have been placed on the side. We were charged $1 for every salsa sauce we ordered. The pork and pineapple are a tasty and flavorful combination. These were great. So, was it a total loss? Love the salsa bar -- the salsas taste fresh and there's something for everyone. If you aren't vegetarian the chicken is tasty and the chicken burrito is a safe, decent choice. Overall Negatives: This is not a great place if you are vegetarian. I know they have veg items but they don't get the same attention to flavor and quality that the non-vegetarian items get. That's why my husband rated his chicken burrito higher than I rated my veggie tacos. We had more misses than hits here. Chicken burrito: minimal beans, lots of rice and pulled chicken that both had great flavor. A marginal hit, just really needed some texture because a tortilla filled with just chicken isn't a great burrito. Its's a "just fine" burrito. Veggie tacos: barely any beans or rice. Mostly big chucks of avocado (weird to not dice it) and sliced tomato and onion (again weird -- just dice it). All topped with a dairy bomb of sour cream and queso fresco that caused the whole taco to lose its structural Integrity. Desperately needed lots of salsa for flavor because nothing else had any. The thing is, you can make rice flavorful. You can make beans with flair and fun and taste. They just don't here. Disappointing miss. Nachos: good chips, good cheesy sauce. Barely any beans again and the big slices of avocado, onion, and tomato (about the size you see on a burger) made it difficult to eat anything but the chips and cheese sauce. Not "nachos" and definitely not a hit for us. Unfortunately this just wasn't for us. It's great to have stuff on your menu that accommodates different types of diners but it's important to actually show the "other" food equal attention to quality and flavor.
