    Garlic Naan

Definitely a fun and new take on Indian food. Ordered the chicken tikka bowl, iced chai, and garlic naan through delivery and everything came very well packaged. The sauces and toppings on the bowl were very delicious. The Chai was definitely worth getting! Disappointed with the garlic naan, it seemed more like a flatbread from the grocery store with a little bit of garlic topping.

Grain Bowl: 1/2 South Indian Rice Noodles, 1/2 Lemon Turmeric Rice, Spicy Chili Chicken, Coconut Ginger, Kachumber Salad, Mango Salsa, Roasted Lentils, Pickled Onions, Ginger Tamarind Chutney. Honestly it was okay but I probably would not go back due to the lack of sauce, I wish there was more to mix in. I never would have thought I would complain about having too much protein, but the bowl had too much spicy chili chicken (at least it was seasoned right but I had a couple chewy parts). I just don't think there was a balance of each side, plus the South Indian Rice Noodles were DRY, CRUNCHY, therefore inedible In addition, the mango salsa was not sweet & used unripe mangos. From eating authentic Indian food to this chipotle style eatery, I think if you are looking for a quick to go meal this would be your type of spot. Otherwise, just stick with the traditional Indian cuisine, I respect the concept though.

First had RASA years ago after being introduced through a Yelp elite event. I loved learning about the history of this business. It's such a great story. My first time at this location was a great experience. I easily placed a mobile order via the app. I was warmly greeted right away and my food was ready when I arrived. It's been so long that I literally forgot how much I enjoyed their food. The "Tikka Chance on Me" bowl was delicious! The bold flavors really come together so well. Add the spicy tamarind chili - you won't regret it! I will visit again!

I have had their catering ordered to my office once and it was good! But i ordered on uber eats and it was gross. It tasted lemony like tangy and not how i have ever had butter chicken before. The bag was sealed shut so it hadn't been tampered with but I was highly unimpressed this last time

The service and atmosphere at Rasa was great! The decorations in this place is gorgeous and the staff member were very friendly and patient with me as a first-time. I ordered the Butter Chicken online a coworker recommended it to me and I must say it was absolutely outstanding.I love the flavors. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

I first tried Rasa for the first time in Arlington, VA as it was located right downstairs from my apartment. I absolutely loved the variety of ingredients and freshness behind it. so it made me super happy to know they opened a location in Rockville. The concept is like a chipotle with Indian cuisine. I really loved the tikka chance on me bowl (they currently have a special with this one) and the chicken tikka avocado salad is alright. Mango lassi here is also VERY good. Employees are friendly and attentive. It's very clean in the restaurant and utensils are by the beverage area.

There are a number of fast casual restaurants in the area that serve bowls (a lot!), and this is similar, but with an Indian flair. We went to Rasa yesterday for lunch and were pleased. We each got a Chef Recommended bowl. I had the Spicy Chili Chicken Bowl - the chicken was well cooked and had a mild spice. I really liked how all the ingredients worked well together, including the coconut flavor in the sauce. On the negative side, the white rice was a bit mushy. Also, I was surprised that the Bowl is named "spicy" because the item my partner got, the Open Sesame, was much more spicy. My partner also paid another dollar to include chick peas in the bowl. Open Sesame - delicious ground lamb meatballs (spicy!) with eggplant, rice and other tasty items in a peanut sesame sauce. My partner subbed the turmeric rice for the white rice that comes with it, and said the rice was delicious, with thinly sliced almonds and raisins. Garlic Naan - most of the bread, except for the outer edges, was very soggy. Either the bread needed to be cooked more or it was put into aluminum foil to keep it warm and it got soggy in the packaging. But it did have lots of garlic flavor. Yum! The server who prepared our dishes was friendly and helpful. There is a large variety of items for a design-your-own bowl. There are bottles of a hot sauce available in the front of the restaurant. To spice up my meal, I took one and - honestly - had a hard time getting the product out of the squeeze bottle. The tip of the bottle was blocked by what appeared to be dried out hot sauce, which I had to remove with a tissue and the edge of a fork. Either the product is a paste (which suggests the spout of the bottle should be larger) or the sauce was dried out. I don't know for sure. It was just unexpected.

I visited RASA at noon just before the lunch crowd arrive. Upon walking in, you get an immediate sense of trendy fast casual restaurant. The decor was great and the restaurant is clean! Ordering was easy. They have a build your own menu, as well as, a Chef Curated menu. I ordered the Tandoori Paneer Bowl, Spicy Chili Chicken Bowl and a side of Samosa Chaat. Everything was very tasty and priced properly to the area. If you have a craving for Indian, give RASA a try! Note: Parking was easy for me but I can see it being a pain during peak times!

I came to RASA on a Monday night for dinner with a friend. RASA is located off of Rockville Pike and shares a parking lot with other nearby restaurants such as Honeygrow, Cava, etc. The parking lot can get packed on the weekends though. RASA is setup so you can either select premade Indian inspired combinations or make your own. I decided to make my own bowl: - Basmati Rice as my Base (step 1) - Chicken Tikka as my Main (step 2) - Tomato Garlic as my Sauce (step 3) - Sautéed Spinach & Spring Chickpeas as my Veggies (step 4) - Corn Salsa as my Topping (step 5) - Mint Cilantro Chutney as my Topping Sauce (step 6) I loved that there were so many options for my custom bowl. Staff were friendly and kept the line moving quickly. I really enjoyed my dinner, it was very flavorful and everything seemed like it was freshly just made. There is plenty of seating available inside, where you can seat yourself. If you are craving Indian and want something fast and casual, I would recommend RASA :)

Wow this place was great. I never tried this place before and I'm happy that I gave it a try because it was amazing. The inside was beautiful and the staff was super helpful. Food was amazing, they really stuffed my bowl. They had a water and ice machine with water cups on the side for those who don't buy drinks which I really appreciated. The forks were made from recycled material and were really good quality. Altogether this was a great place with great food, no complaints at all. I will come here again for sure.

Stumbled across this gem in rockville. Honestly beat my expectations. Service was good, ordering was not complicated at all. The flavors of the bowl were amazing. The Naan was just mid, kinda dry. The spicies and sauces complimented each other so we'll. I will be coming back for sure

I had a fantastic dinner at RASA! This business has the cutest interior aesthetic, a fast moving line, and delicious menu items! I really love how well RASA labels their vegan items. I chose to purchase their Veggies and Vibes bowl which was labeled vegan, but you could also build your own bowl and navigate what items are vegan very easily. I chose to get the rice noodles in my bowl instead of the basmati rice. I highly recommend that modification. The rice noodles were a really fun texture and made me feel more full than just rice. They pack really densely in the bowl and seem to give you more bang for your buck. The best part of the bowl was the coconut ginger sauce. It was so creamy, savory, and comforting. I would drink that sauce I liked it so much. I also enjoy how their bowls are so colorful. You can get a variety of veggies in each bowl which provide a lot of different textures, flavors, and nutrients. This location is really cool as they have alcohol available. That is pretty rare for a fast casual spot like this. Additionally you should save room for dessert. Their vegan soft serve is a must try! Thanks RASA for a great experience and delicious meal! I will certainly be back!

It's a pretty small spot with a simple menu -- mainly lamb and chicken gyros and bowls. I vaguely remember trying a bowl before, so this time I went with the gyro and ordered extra lamb and extra sauce. I assumed the sauce was going to be traditional tzatziki, but they actually make their own sauces and I honestly wasn't very impressed by them. To their credit and great service, they definitely did not skimp on the meat because they loaded the gyro up, but honestly I probably could've gone without the extra lamb. The whole thing ended up being super messy and hard to hold together, to the point where I eventually just ate it with a fork. Overall, the taste was just a miss for me and didn't satisfy the authentic gyro craving I was hoping for. I wanted to enjoy it way more than I actually did, but I'll probably pass on coming back.

This time around, we ordered pad thai, one dish with shrimp and one with beef, crabmeat fried rice, and the khao soy noodles. The khao soy was the perfect amount of spicy and the chicken pieces + fresh onions + crispy noodles added a nice texture to the richness of the broth. This order came literally 5 minutes after we placed it, with the rest of the food coming shortly after! Portions are reasonable - all of us managed to finish our plates and felt pretty content if not full. I would say this place has a fun, upbeat atmosphere with the colorful, graffiti walls. I asked for spicy and it wasn't really that spicy. Good flavors all around though and decent portions. Pricing I guess was fine, ~$35 post-tax pre-tip. I didn't like that they have a lot of plastic and one-time use items - they gave us water in plastic cups, wooden one-time use chopsticks wrapped in plastic, paper plates if we wanted to share food I guess (I gave this back to them when they brought it over). Beautiful tiles, love the black-and-white, crisp,…read moreclean look, and new booths -- though I didn't try sitting in one yet, didn't think to as I was on a mission to get to all the Israeli restaurants around for and on Israel Independence Day, ha ha! (And yes! I succeeded!) The benches are a light, bright-looking wood. There are also regular tables for those who prefer that .... It's amazing how much spacious seating is packed into this little place! I wish the outside reflected the new, light beauty but I guess the treasure is only to be found by those who venture in .... As an Israeli-in-America, I appreciate the selection of Israeli drinks in the cooler, and of course the national snack of falafel! Some say they don't put fries in the pitas -- well, yeah! That's true! If you don't ask, you don't receive! I ask! I receive! I do sometimes find the sandwiches to be kind of messy, so I try to sometimes get less various salads and pickles and such so it's not completely overflowing -- because this place is GENEROUS! Of course, if you're not used to kosher food, you'll probably not understand that it does cost more because for one thing (out of many!), there has to always be an 'extra' person called a mashgiach (supervisor in Hebrew) who oversees everything to make sure it's all, well, kosher! Kosher meat is more expensive, too. And yeah, meat doesn't come with dairy! So that is not available. I heard someone asking if they had a cheeseburger and had to work to not crack up about it! I LOVE the grilled eggplant bits you can get put in -- they're special, not in the regular line up, right there at the end -- because not only do they add so much flavour and texture with so little bulk, but eggplant is one of those things I usually cannot eat because it hurts my oh-so-sensitive tongue, but this place makes it per-fect-ly, mmm ... ! So delicious! I enjoy both purple and green cabbage and carrots, but I don't like the flavour of the onions. That makes me sad, because I LOVE onions, but these ones have something on them that I don't like (looks like it's sumac -- which is ironic, because that's something that I normally love and use all the time!) and I end up picking out when I sometimes forget or get hopeful and just get them again anyway .... Actually, the onions are one of the few condiments here I do not like! The pickled beets are great -- and of course, great for your liver! They are cleansing, nutritious, and boost your Russian-ness, to boot! Or your Russian Jewishness, anyway .... I know that eating them makes my grandmother proud! The benefits of eating here are not and are also not like ones you can attain in just any regular restaurant, and it's here for people who want this kind of thing. It literally is a cornerstone, being on the corner and providing the things certain of us need -- Israeliness, Jewishness, kosherness, etc. It's too bad it suffers from bad reviews by people who don't understand or care. By the way, the work that goes into making all these salad items fresh every day is, let's just say, a LOT! I almost always get the falafel -- I used to get a platter, but it was too much for a meal so I switched back to the classic pita version and that's a perfect amount for me for a meal, plus I feel it's better for the environment because it comes packaged minimally in a little parchment paper rather than a recyclable aluminum plate with a non-recyclable aluminum-and-paper top. Truth be told, I could have trouble finishing writing this review because thinking of Oh Mama Grills' falafel is making me so hungry! I am really getting in the mood for some right now! Other things I eat from here regularly (and have for years): Israeli salad Moroccan (vegetarian) cigars Rice Other things I know are great by way of seeing the delight on my eating partner's face while consuming: Okay, I so I don't remember, but various meat things! Chicken, I think .... Things I don't love from Oh Mama Grill: Bean soup -- didn't have enough flavour for me .... Sabich. I dunno. Just didn't love it! It's hard to top falafel, in my opinion -- well, this falafel from this place, that is -- so I don't feel the need to explore the menu very much .... There aren't a whole lot of places (if any!) that offer such a variety of salads, pickles, and sauces! As an absolute pickle-lover who finds pickles and not just that but a variety of pickles a MUST for my diet, this place has it going on like no other! Update! Tried sitting on a bench at a booth! It's pretty hard, not super-comfortable, but doable -- however, a harder seat is better for your posture and health long-term! The falafel pita with toppings aplenty is so delicious, I am craving one right now ... and, in case you've ever tried some of the marinated types of vegetables here and found them too sour, I did too! Now, that is fixed. They are no longer so sour, and are therefore much more eminently edible! My eating partner agrees.

It was my mistake, I was excited because of the description (it contained lamb) but wasn't anywhere close to the Greek burger we get in VA, I'm not sure it was even up the fast food level, although it was definitely in competition for flatness.
