Nedy was an absolute gift as we prepared for our wedding! She altered two suits and my pant suit/overskirt. She was able to guide me every step of the way, from helping me communicate with my dressmaker (who was out of state), to making SIGNIFICANT alterations to ensure it was EXACTLY what I wanted. Nedy was kind and quick, and her work is impeccable. Also, I have to make sure I acknowledge other people out there looking for someone who works with ALL BODY TYPES. I wear extended sizing, and Nedy has an incredible eye for fitting. As many people in bigger bodies know, fashion is NOT an inclusive industry. I needed an outfit (jacket and skirt) altered for a photoshoot. The fabric was an unusual fabric and the clothes were much to big for me. Nedybel was very knowledgeable about the fabric and what needed to be done to fix it. When I came to pick up my suit, I was pleasantly pleased with the way it fit and what she did to compliment my figure. I looked amazing the day of the photoshoot and received several compliments. This review is long overdue. I was referred to Nedy from one of the sales consultants where I bought my dress. The store didn't have any alteration availability and I'm so glad she connected me to Nedy. I had about 3-4 months before my wedding date and Nedy was able to alter my dress within 2 months. I asked her to shorten the dress, tighten the bust area and add sequins all over. The dress came out beautifully and most importantly, I felt amazing in it. Nedy is a true professional, incredibly warm and I knew after meeting her the first time that I would be in good hands. If she wasn't so far from me now I'd go to her for everything! read more

I was referred to Nedy by a friend working at a bridal place. I needed some alterations for my wedding dress. When i met Nedy, she knew exactly what to do in other for me to look good on my wedding dress. No only i was getting my dress altered by her, my bridesmaids join me as well for their dresses. Nedy was patient, understanding and very dedicated. She worked her magic for her customers' satisfaction. Even though she can be a bit pricey but both me and my girls were content for a work well done. I looked way better in the dress than when i purchased it. Since I planned my wedding in just a few months there was no time to order a dress in my size and I fell in love with a dress off the rack that was two sizes too big. Nedy expertly cut my dress down to size, but over the next two fittings we discovered that the stress of planning a wedding along with my hormone cycle caused my weight and body shape to fluctuate dramatically from week to week. Since we had no way of knowing what size I would be on my wedding day, Nedy had me come in a few days before the wedding so she could make sure the final alterations fit me perfectly. She also sewed in a bustier and made a beautiful and complex 4-point french bustle for my train. During each interaction we had Nedy was always professional and it was clear how much care and pride she takes in her work. Her prices were reasonable and a fraction of what the alterations would have cost me if I went to the seamstress that the bridal boutique recommended. On a personal note, over the course of several fittings I got to know Nedy and found her to be kind, compassionate and truly invested in wanting me to have the wedding dress and wedding day of my dreams! Established in 2009.

After working for over 20 years in the fashion industry I met many customer each of them with a different need in their clothes. Some feel intimidated with either their breast, their bottom.....etc. My believe is that what ever shape we have is what make us unique therefore we just have to alter our clothing to our shape not the other way around.

Meet the Business Owner: Nedy N.

My goal is to be a great dressmaker/seamstress because to see the smile on my customer face after the work is done and they are getting out of my shop happy and satisfied. I thank God for giving my grandmother discernment to see in me at a young age my passion for fashion and to bless me with her words that " I will become a great dressmaker." My business name is Nedybel, my first name and bel which means beautiful in my country Haiti I choose the name because I believe all women are beautiful so I dedicated myself to help them fit whatever the want to wear with some alteration or custom made. Mother of three boys I pray that God will also give me discernment like my grandmother so I can see the passion and support them to the choose of their heart.

You are given a cleaning lotion and instructions how to keep them clean and infection free! I am pretty sure they do cartilage piercing on the ear also. He said "the driver, Mike" will call to arrange pick up. He called a few minutes later, I told him to knock/ring and I'll get him the bags. I brought two of the three bags out and popped back inside to grab a third. When I came back, the bags were gone. No knock/ring or "hey, can I take these?" Nothing, just gone. Then 2 minutes later I get a text from some other named laundry company, telling me I have to Venmo or Zelle him $48. WHAT???? He hadn't even had time to weigh the bags. I had spoken on the phone to TWO men. They said nothing of any of this. They were changing the terms of the agreement. I called Elio on the store phone line, or so I thought. He then told me he sold the company to Mike the driver, and deal with him. He said that he is just doing the laundry work for Mike, but it's Mike's company now. Then he told me he isn't in the store, or even in the state. I tell him I don't like deal being changed, and I don't have their payment methods, and to just bring the bags back. He told me I will have to PAY THEIR MINIMUM, $25 to get my clothing back!!!!! When I objected, he started mouthing off to me. I hung up and called the local Police, who sent a car over. They took care of it. The infractions were clear: - They took the bags without notice (not even all the bags I had) - They changed the agreement after the fact. - They tried to create an illegal bailment with my property. You can't make this stuff up!

OMG!!!!!! Nedy is a Godsend!!! I was preparing for my engagement shoot, and my designer made me a beautiful gown. However the measurements I sent her were wrong and the dress ended up being too big around the hips. There was a seamstress that I had worked with in the past, but I kept getting the run around from him, even though he had agreed to alter my gown, and was days away from my shoot. In desperation I googled seamstresses near me and found Nedy. I saw her glowing reviews and decided to give her a try. I am so glad I did! Nedy called me shortly after I reached out and had me to bring my dress the next morning. By the following night, she has completed the gown as promised, and I went to pick up the next morning. Her work is impeccable and my gown fitted exactly the way I needed it too. Not only is she amazing at what she does but she has the most beautiful calming spirit. She is now MY seamstress. I was waiting for that day , celebrating my birthday with my friend in New York city. For the event I have lost 32 lbs . The dress was a gift from my friend Michaela we were about to spend 3 nights and 2 days at her cousin's house From Miami to LaGuardia Airport we couldn't wait to see this expensive dress that she had bought online shipped to her cousin's. I needed my daughter's prom dress altered at the last minute after my own sewing machine broke. I started calling around recommended tailors and cleaners to see if this can be completed for the next day. Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck and Googled alterations in my area. Searched high and low for a tailor to fix my daughters zipper on her jacket as two others wouldn't due to it being moncler, another suggested I ship it bck to moncler (Italy) and the last telling me it would take a month to fix. I googled around and gratefully stumbled across Nedy as she was located rather close to me, I called her explained my issue and she assured me that she could not only fix the zipper but I could meet her that evening. Very professional from the start of our conversation. She looked at my daughters zipper, explained to me the process and advised that I could pick the jacket up TWO DAYS later. I bought a dress for my son's wedding. Though I loved the dress, because it had cap sleeves, I was very self conscious of how my arms looked. Luckily I found Nedy, who assured me that she could extend the sleeves. After a trip to Manhattan, she found fabric that matched the dress perfectly. Nedy's work was meticulous. There was no way to know that the sleeves were added. Needless to say, I was thrilled wearing my dress and received numerous compliments. Nedy is a pleasure to deal with.
