Glad to see the long time owner has retired happy. Have used Nedza for many years for great auto repair. Tried to go there today with the new owners for a LOF/rotate as a called in waiter appointment at 8:00AM when they open. Worker drives in and unlocks doors at 7:52AM, I wait until 8:00 to go in. I immediately notice, in my opinion, that the shop is just a shambles. Look, car repair shops aren't going to be a pristine environment. This was an absolute hellhole compared to how Nedza usually was. Piles of OilDri, torn hunks of cardboard packaging everywhere on the floor, and piles on various used parts strewn about. Motorcycle parked so you couldn't get to the waiting area. There are three lift bays for cars, one being a drive up/on. My service would need a non-drive up/on. Those two are in use. So, they aren't ready for my appointment. The poor worker hears us come in, and immediately is calling on his phone, and hands his phone to us on speaker to chat with someone named Luis/something/didn't get a good look at it. I have no problem with anyone being employed anywhere, but this poor man can't communicate with me. "Whatcha need?" (WTF is this question?) "I had an appointment at 8 for a LOF/rotate." "Oh yeah. I am out doing a test drive on a car right now. Be there in a bit. Just give your car keys to him." (He took the car home with him to test drive?) Feeling uneasy, I give my keys to the worker guy. Walk outside and then in the outside door to the waiting room. Decide that with a repair shop floor that looks that bad compared to the years that I have been a customer that I don't want them touching my car, I go back in, ask for my keys back and leave. Nedza was great for many, many years. I sort of feel bad that I won't use the new owners after this. read more

I have gone to Nedza's for 37 years. They have taken care of: 1980 Plymouth Horizon 1984 Chevy Caprice Classic 1987 Cadillac Cimmaron 2000 Olds Bravada 2000 Toyota Sienna currently with 300,000 miles and running great 2013 Ford Escape 2012 Nissan Murano currently with 186,000 miles and running great 2017 Honda Pilot Touring that belonged to my daughter but recently was sold with about 80,000 miles on it. They have ALWAYS been reasonable in their price, always attentive to my needs time wise, and do what they can to keep the vehicles in good shape! They are fair in their prices and I have recommended them to a number of my friends! I will continue to do so! read more

I kept failing emissions Inspection and the culprit was a gas cap. I could have been charged bogus repairs; but Nedza was honest and simply charged for their diagnostic. Greatly appreciated. Very honest! I'll def be back! read more

Let me say I had taken my car to another I thought reputable shop. I ended up with more issues on my car and 1500 dollars in the hole. I called this shop on a Monday and they got me in within the next 24 hours. They were so friendly on the phone and in person and explained everything very clearly. They were up front with all the costs and had very reasonable prices. My car was done before noon just as they said it would be and they even drove my car afterward to make sure no further issues existed. Can't say enough good things about these guys. They didn't try to take advantage of me. For example, what they were replacing, it is recommended they do an oil change. I changed my oil to see if it would help things before I took it in. So I had only driven the car for 12-15 miles. They noticed that and didn't make me replace the synthetic oil that I paid 100 dollars for. I never felt put off by their demeanor, they were always helpful and informative. They definitely would be someone I would come back to again. read more

Just got my car fixed. I needed new brakes, rotors, tires, and a new wheel bearing. My car sounded so bad driving down the road and it was incredibly loud. Nedza took care of my car quickly, they're ALWAYS honest about their work, and keep you up to date about what's going on. My care seriously sounds like a dream. I bring all my vehicles to Nedza for everything. Before I buy a used vehicle, I pay Don or Steve to listen under the hood, check it out etc. They always treat me with the utmost integrity and competence. Sometimes older cars have issues that are complex. They always explain things to me in as much detail as I want. This ability to explain means: they know what they are talking about ( competence), they start d behind their explanation ( integrity). I have brought a wide variety of older vehicles to them. I have never been dissatisfied. I tell anyone I care about to find a mechanic they trust ... Nedza is my first choice always. read more

Heading back to Portland Oregon with a truck pulling a car on a two wheel trailer... Uhaul won't approve the rental due to malfunctioning lights..Our neighbor told us of Nedza and their history of helping Wauconda and Island lake auto repairs.. Gave a try and Don their knew his stuff! An electrical Guru! Fixed my wiring with a tail light switch on my request as I couldn't afford a whole new Dodge Ram fuse and computer module.. rigged it and worked GREAT! Also suggested some critical repairs to brakes, wheel bearings etc. and that truck ran like a silver torpedo at 80 mph from Chicago to Portland up mountains.. through snow blizzards and all the while pulling that Impala behind..
