I just don't understand how/why the buffalo chicken sub is noted as a "best seller" on the menu when the one I had was sub-par, at best! I work in the area sometimes and ordered one of these for lunch with blue cheese on the side. The first red flag was the blue cheese came in a packet like for a salad and not a little container like most other places. The sub was more bread than ingredients. It was toasted nicely but dry as a bone. Perhaps that was my fault, however the ingredients or lack thereof didn't make up for it so I'm not sure if I would come back here :( read more

Food good the owner is rude, obnoxious, and has absolutely no customer service skills. I would always go here in a pinch, but the last time. The owner charged me $18.75 per salad for 2 Greek Salads with Grilled Chicken. When I questioned her about the price. She ask me how much was the salad and how much is the chicken. "How the hell do I know it's your restaurant." I replied. Over $40.00 for 2 Greek salads is unnecessarily high. And she is always eating when I go in. That seems unsanitary eating where you are preparing food for the public. And I mean she was always eating something. I do have to say that the food was good. read more

Good option for pizza in Needham Center, service is always great and food comes out relatively quick. We've ordered a few times for a large group and they always come through. PSA..if you order a meatball sub, you HAVE to ask for sauce; otherwise, it's bone dry. The worker asked what we wanted on it, we said "with cheese". Didn't think he took it literal and we brought home a sub with 4 meatballs and unmelted pieces of cheese. NO SAUCE. Called and asked if sauce comes on meatball subs and he said "yes". Didn't offer to make it right. Argued we said "only cheese." All it takes is one bad experience like this after numerous visits to this neighborhood place. read more

I don't even know where to start, hands down worst pizza place ive ever gone too. I ordered a Cesar salad which looked great at first but given about half a cup of dressing for the entire salad making it incredibly dry. Then I ordered a roast beef three way hoping they would give me a normal beef like every other sub shop. I was given a grey beef on a sub roll not even a bun. No sauce and globs of mayo on top Of it. Great little pizza place. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is loaded with flavor with a wonderful balance of the ingredients. There is just enough Buffalo to flavor the pizza but not overpower the rest of the slice. The cheese pizza is a great cheese pizza-you really can't go wrong. Delivery service was quick and friendly. This place is a lot better than the other sandwich place down the street. The Pastrami was sooo good! I suggest everyone try it (with everything). You wont be sorry! It's just delicious. Being an Elite Yelp writer and a foodie means that when someone asks me to bring pizza to their house for dinner I'm not just going to go anywhere. I'm going to look it up on Yelp, and find the highest rated spot nearby. The people were very friendly, easy going, and professional. My order was ready quickly and on time (believe me you can't underestimate that- I've ordered pizzas for events and sat around waiting for up to 30 or 40 minutes) so I really appreciated this timeliness, best of all the kids loved it! When I got to the gathering, I was talking with a Needham resident & when he asked me where I got the pizza, he said he's often used them for huge events of 300 people and they've been great. My family has been buying pizza from Needham House since our kids were young, over 40 years ago! It's amazing that this many years later we old folks can enjoy the same quality and service we had then. So, when we're in the mood for Greek style pizza, or my husband's fave, Dad's Meatball Sub, we easily dial them up as their phone number has been etched in our brains for that long! I liked them so much that I even made the workers face masks at the start of the pandemic! I am an almost nightly our salad maker at home, and NHP is the ONLY pizza place from which I will confidently order a take out salad. Their Greek salad is made with the freshest, washed, romaine lettuce and we totally appreciate the effort that goes into making that rather than tossing "pre washed" greens from a bag in the container. Their salad dressing has changed a bit over the years...all are good, tho my fave was the one from back in the early days. Recently we've been ordering BLTs, which are delicious, tho a bit unwieldy, rolled in a large pita bread...maybe tucked in a smaller pocket would be easier to handle? All in all, we have been very happy with NHP, for so many years, and will even be ordering a few pizzas for our granddaughter's small family party this weekend! I gave them a 1-star rating; however, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My friends and I ordered pizza for the Super Bowl at 1 pm so they could deliver it to us at 6:30 pm. We live on a college campus and gave them the exact location of the building we were in. The delivery guy came to the site and was confused about where to walk in, and instead of calling us to let us know he was outside, he decided to leave. We had reached out, and they responded to us saying that the order was out for delivery. Yet, after an hour and a half of waiting, we decided to call again, and we found out the situation and became frustrated. By the time the pizza got to us, it was completely cold, and when we talked to the delivery guy, he said, "Ya, I get it, I really don't care if you don't pay." Later, we got a call from the manager trying to convince us that they did call us to let us know that the pizza was outside and guilt trip us to pay the full service. The manager was utterly unprofessional and was yelling through the phone, disrespectfully trying to guilt-trip us into paying the total price. I was in absolute shock with the customer service. If the manager acts this way, I cannot expect much for the rest of the company. Never ordering from this place again, and I hope you all don't either. read more

I get a chicken cesar wrap almost every Saturday because it's convenient. I have been noticing though they are not consistent with there lettuce. Cesar salads are made with romaine not iceberg. My wrap half the time has romaine and the other half has ice berg. My wrap today also had some bones in it still attached to the chicken . Cost notwithstanding, were were the pros and cons of the pie: Limited cheese coverage, didn't make it to the edge of the crust. Sauce was a little too sweet. Good crispy crust; however it was a little tough. Decent classic parlor pie. I don't think it would hold up as a carry out but pizza is always best when eaten "in house".
